You know, I try to keep an open mind and try to understand how the other side could come to the conclusions they do, but sometimes they really make it difficult. I genuinely don't get how this could be construed as anything other than malicious. What's the benefit in this? How is this "thinking of the children?" How did a political party come to represent views that are so aggressively anti-humanity? It's such a bizarre platform to attach yourself to so proudly and openly.

I'm really glad you said this. There's a large amount of the general population who think trans and drag are the same, even people who are allies. I respect those who do drag and I can understand why they do it, but as someone who is trying to present as myself authentically instead of performatively it's almost detrimental to the cause when those who are outside looking in automatically equate the two.

When I came out to my family as trans, my dad's first thought was I was going to be "parading myself around like a drag queen" (his words). He voiced his concern about it, because he had no understanding that they are not the same thing. Typically when I come out to people as trans one of the first things they talk about is how I must love Ru Paul's and assume that I watch it. I've never watched a full episode in my life, and truthfully it's kind of difficult for me to watch it knowing mentally that's how people would perceive me if I come out to them.

And while I acknowledge that there can be overlap in the community it's not who I am, nor is it how I want to be perceived. I don't have the luxury of "taking off" who I am, nor am I trying to be a caricature of a woman. I'm just trying to be myself and I wish more people understood that.

It's insane seeing how they've built themselves on a platform of strictly hate. It seems like they're never for things only against things. Well I guess outside of the child marriage thing seems they're pretty for that. It's so strange to me that in 2023 the republican party has regressed into essentially a draconian early industrial revolution era roll back of rights. I mean they're even repealing child labor laws. It's literally like they want to remove all progress from the last couple centuries. It blows my mind that this is acceptable in our country in the era.

Honestly the way you described it has me hyped too! It seems like a really cool premises and story wise seems like they're going back to their roots a little. I loved FFXII so no judgement here! Also the icon battles look so intense! I think it's a pretty good way of integrating them into and Action RPG, I liked the summons in FFXV but I felt they were a bit too static and didn't quite fit into the combat system that well.

Interesting, I didn't know they added an enhanced denoise feature. I do astrophotography and removing noise is something astrophotographer's constantly fight against so I'll have to give this a shot. I'm curious how it'll compare to something like Topaz Ai Denoise tool which does a pretty solid job.

Edited: I misread your original post and thought the 1st image was the original. I actually think it did a pretty decent job, perhaps adding a little bit too much sharpness, but overall I'm surprised at the results especially compared to its standard denoise tool.

This is incredible! It seems like there's going to be a noticeable change in the night sky! As someone who's just getting into astrophotography, I wonder if it's something I'll be able to capture.

You need to make sure your phone is very still before it appears. I usually will lay mine on a table or the top of a car and then tilt my head underneath it until it appears and when it does gently hit the button. I've gotten some pretty cool results from it like shooting stars and even the Milky Way.

Huh, TIL. I had no idea that was an option but that's super useful for things I need to type in on a device with no keyboard, or even things I can't access my password manager for. Thanks for the protip there!

Oof, hopefully it comes sooner than it took FFXV to get ported. Although I appreciate that they release eventually I wish they would just drop it cross platform and forget about the whole console exclusivity BS.

Ah that's good to know! It felt like it went from announcement to radio silence to boom it's releasing in a month. I've forgotten that it's already been 7 years since FFXV dropped!

Omg this is super cool! Thank you so much for this!

I think I got pretty lucky all things considered. My parents tend to lean conservative and religious. However when I told them, they were surprisingly open to it. I will admit it's taken them quite a bit of time and even a year out they still misgender me or deadname me accidentally, but I try not to be too hard on them. Strangely enough my mom was more supportive in the begining, but she seems to have pulled back as time went on, whereas my dad has went full in on support which certainly wasn't what I was expecting. Despite this I feel like our relationship has changed significantly for the better. I'm more open and honest to them now that I don't have to hide who I am, and they've shown that they love and support me in whatever ways they can. I certainly didn't expect for them to be so open and loving.

Ooh! That has me pretty excited then! I've been very curious of how they were going to proceed from FFXV. It was such a weird development cycle and took forever, and then it's release was kind of mixed. I'm hoping they have a nice polished game with a really engaging story.

Ah! This is super cute I love it! You did a great job!

Oh that's cute!

I read through the article and it didn't explain at all how studying quasars determined this. I wonder if there's a better breakdown as to how they were able to ascertain this. I know there's been some major announcements in the field thanks to quasar study so I'm curious as to how this ties into that.

I really want to like stract but I can't get it to give me good results. I typically search for programming related things and it has difficulty pulling up relevant information regarding things like documentation and posts regarding the issue.
