AAF is getting to work on a new mission: “Project Sovereignty 2025”.

Backed with a $100,000 grant from the Heritage Foundation, an influential rightwing thinktank, AAF will compile information, including social media posts, about civil servants they suspect will “obstruct and sabotage a future conservative president”. They plan to publish dossiers on those non-public facing individuals, starting with the Department of Homeland Security, and expose them to scrutiny.

This is the start of fascism. It leads into Project 2025.

Anyone who is undecided is just ok with a felonious president. Or more likely they are for Trump but too embarrassed to say so.

FCC already has regulations on maximum power. These emitters are usually dozens of feet off the ground as well.

Agreed. Same for AOC for me. But this country is on the verge of electing Trump again. A woman of color had zero chance, unfortunately. :(

At least not without a longer public term of popularity.

The question anyone suggesting replacing Biden needs to answer is: Who?

Pretty much the entire electorate needs to know who the person is. They need to be somewhat popular. They need no real scandals.

That's just the bare minimum to complete with Biden. Then you have to answer: can they be popular enough, or overcome Biden's weaknesses enough to overcome incumbency bias?

That's not easy to answer but if the answer isn't a resounding Yes, then replacing him is a mistake.

And the candidate has to be popular enough that Biden is willing to stand down and support them. Because he has pledged delegates and several primaries already.

Overall I think this would be a mistake. There just aren't any good alternatives. And one bad debate isn't a scandal. This is letting the Fox News machine dictate how we think about Biden. Which is always a mistake.

This isn't regulatory. The auctions companies bid on and win have provisions in them that require companies to utilize the spectrum in X years. They must supply coverage if they bought the spectrum; they can't sit on it.

No one even knows who they are. Harris and Buttigieg are the best well known and neither stand a chance.

So you're saying you haven't been paying attention. Must be nice to be so privileged you don't have to worry about it.

Not got much takeout lately have you? That's not expensive for a meal.

Right. As long as you don't fuck with their notes or commit other crimes, you can absolutely obstruct government proceedings. I wonder if they included SCOTUS trials...

He's not better at golf. He cheats blatantly. People play with him just to claim trump cheated against them.

This also applies to law enforcement agencies like ice, right? Border patrol? They are all only able to enforce actual laws right?

Is this more of the "federal agencies can't do anything not literally outlined in a law" shit? Because is that's the case I guess the FBI, CIA, NSA, INS, ICE, etc can't do nearly as much right?

Writing for the court, Justice Neil Gorsuch said the states are likely to win in the end, among the factors justifying the court’s decision to block the plan for now.

What? You didn't get to rule on a case solely based on your fucking betting pool.

It's not that simple. If it was the American military wouldn't be effective because manpads, javelins, and torpedos would have taken out all the aircraft, tanks and ships.

The military is a fighting unit and protects itself very well. At least, it does it it's working right. When you have a military being destroyed by a vault interior opponent, it's because they are fucking to their military...or someone is trying to occupy Afghanistan.

We have more empty homes than we do the homeless. If this country wanted a war on homelessness, it'd be over in a year. And that's just the time it'd take to organize the moves. It isn't even entirely correct to say this is a war on the homeless, either. It's much broader than that and this conflict has been going on since time immemorial.

This is the class war and we're losing.

Of course not. The plagiarism comparisons were overblown and no one can copyright the basic idea anyways.

They are also just a fad and generally a boring game with a lot of faults. They aren't a threat.

People have been trending away from random online interactions for decades. With good reason. As populations increased the ability to police behavior plummeted. Negative interactions skyrocketed and now few people want to chance abuse with it being so common.

It's also partly what you said: people want to get stuff done. I remember EverQuest 1 and Nexus. You couldn't do shit solo. People generally want to be able to actually play the game and accomplish something and they don't always have 30-60 min to look for a group before they can start playing.

It's a very different market these days and people have a lot of things they can do with their time. Playing chat roulette to play a game doesn't cut it.

I love all these kind of stories. Pascal's Wager, Sin's Plate, this sneaky ravioli.

They all contend that you can trick god. The same god who is both omniscient and omnipotent.

I don't know if any of those are serious or just jests that became tradition but they are amusing.

Yeah. Because there's no good answer. Anything you do will be massively unpopular. Trying to get people to stop eating beef or dairy is going to be very difficult.

Once lab grown meat is affordable maybe it'll help.

The man embarrassed the US by leaking their DMs.

When you do that to a nation about their classified intel, it's called espionage. It's a biiiit more serious than a social media hack.

In practical terms, espionage can affect thousands of lives directly and change the course of a war. Imagined the shitshow if someone released that kind of info now. It could jeopardize the Ukraine conflict. It's treated as more serious than murder because it can be.

That's a great idea. Analyze the feces or garbage and then publish public reports about the deficiencies of NK life. That'd embarrass Kim enough they'd probably stop.

Old Toys r Us was mostly just a warehouse vibe anyways. But it had a big box store level of toys to look over. It was the highlight of my childhood trips to the stores. They don't really need to pretend to be the old FAO Schwarz.

Doesn't NK have one of the biggest standing armies in the world? I figured they could toss some troops into the blender and not care.

Also doesn't NK have a nuke? They'd definitely detonate one if they were invaded.

Are you somehow equating my opinion with an objective fact? Boring can't be objective, it's different for everyone.

Did they ever increase flying or running speed? About the time I got the saddle for flying I realized how painfully slow max movement speed was.

Even having an anthem, being bullied into putting your hand over your heart, making children onesie allegiance, is all indoctrination to nationalism. It's horrible.

They don't think that deeply about it. The Prius was the first mainstream hybrid vehicle. The first got really got attention for being more environmentally friendly. So it got the right-wing media's attention and they turned their base's hateboners onto it. Even with EVs, the Prius is still the "eco car" to most.

Your teeth are natural mind-control blockers. Dentin is the best radiation-absorber this side of lead paint!

There's a bunch of black bears in NW Florida. During the hell years I lived there 911 would get calls about them in yards and the advice was to leave them alone unless they are hurting someone. Animal control wouldn't come out if there wasn't a threat. They were usually just meandering between forest patches. And it was illegal to shoot them in most circumstances; especially since most of this was in subdivisions.

This would effectively allow cowboys to start blasting in your neighborhoods. Probably leaving rotting corpses of young black bears on the corner or in the streets.
