strange to see someone as crazy as 10A on kbin.social, feels more like a Fox-Viewer who chose the wrong server.

you do not understand the problem. The growth was on every server of the fedivers - so moderationg users from different servers was to much work. how should they stop people from other servers? two options - block any individuell(which is to much work with so many open registration servers - they can just spamm new servers) or nuke the server where most of the trolls come from.

kbin is only live a month or so.... of course there will be problems and missing moderation tools - it wont be much better for lemmy.
There is no perfect time - some people will stay some will go back to reddit witout any change. thats a user thing not the fault of beehaw or the federation of servers.

there is still enough serves that you can register that are not blocked by beehaw - or you can interact with mastodon/calckey software with lemmy and kbin. so easy.
If you want to upload a video to the Fedivers use Peertube. Then you can link to it.
Nobody can shut down the fedivers. Thats the whole point of it.
Defederation is the Hammer in the Toolbox of Server Admins/Moderators. With that they can smack every connection between there own server and another, effecticvly ending the communication beetwen users on both servers.
They can still talk to all other severs that are not defederated.
Mastodon has the option to "Silence" or "Limit" servers aswell - that way users can still interact across server but there are some protections enabled(like you have to accept followers from the other server bevor they can see your stuff - and more)
So there are multipile tools to handle Meta.
Little prediction from me, there will be 3 Typs of servers:
Server 1: No Federation with Meta at all - every Meta server is getting defederated
Server 2: Limited federation with Meta
Server 3: Full federation with Meta
all 3 typs will exist and federat with each other.
Its working for me as expected. I only the the subs i sub to.

I am active on the main calckey.social server since bevor there where 300 users on that server.
I can say that the devs off calckey( now firefish) are not reactionary or a problem.
They react quick to moderation and server problems. The care for the community and marginalized people. There are queere people part of the team.
Buuuut, if you dont like it you can use Hajkey or iceshrimp(both forks of calckey).
there are many kbin and lemmy servers still connectet to both.
and there is the rest of the fedivers(Mastodon, Pixelfed, Calckey/Misskey etc) that you can use to interact(read follow comment etc) with any lemmy/beehaw/kbin server.
I dont now what the problem is?

As i understand the account migration tools for Kbin are not ready yet.
On Mastodon/Calckey and other more developt project you can ex/import the list of your followers etc and even fully transfer an account from server to server.
We might need to wait a little for that feature beacause there are other things "more important" like stability of the server and moderations tools to combat spam etc
Ipad with safari works with out any problem.

I never needed the sms tool(who writes sms anyways?) what i need is more secure coms that I can use.
