I'm not american, i'm italian, so i don't share most of your culture. With this premise i want to express my cultural shock when i see americans joining the person personal life from his ideas. A lot of historial figures were horrible people, even for their times ( see Caravaggio ) , but this is a different thing from their ideas. More i read american POV , more i think that you have an huge problem with free speech ( i mean accepting different POV ). Success as a superpower it is not: other people are totaly dumb. One person has a brain and can read and judge everything, other people are more or less smart as we are so they cannot tell me what to read or what to think.

As an european, don't downvote me, i'm trying to show to you a different point of view. This sum for the police officer is huge, that's mean that the people are really angry. ( yes this is more and more before these riots ) . Far right parties all around europe are gaining traction ( a lot ) and far right parties that seems too light on immigration are been replaced by other more extemists parties ( see poland ). I don't think that this american point of view is welcomed by a growing part of european population. Politicians with lesser pro rioters views , like melenchon are targeted as left-islamists by member of the center wing of governement. See that like a sort of troubles in northern ireland, but bigger, with more ideological differences.
And an huge colonial empire ( europe/japan/korea )

You are right. The social situation with migrants ( mostly MENA ) is so bad that people is infuriating with far-right cause the number of migrants entering by sea is higher than previous government. The people read english and starting to blame european unions and mostly american government to force us to accept migrants cause their ideology. They see far-right government as a sort of a puppet of foreign interest. They say: why you send weapons to ukraine when we have an actual invasion and you help them? I understand that americans have different views, european point of view is starting to become really really different.

I don't know in america, but in europe, old school communists are much less hated than liberals by the right. The problem is mostly one here, mass immigration and, mostly, mena immigration. Old school communist are really good to seal borders ( for economic reasons, like massive devaluation of salaries ), see Fico in Slovakia , an old soviet communist. On the other hand you have woke left, like green party, that want open borders ( to suppress salaries ) like the liberals and they have an huge support by muslims ( that secretly hate them a lot )
I don't think that uk political class too ( as other european countries ) know much about Uk. I have direct experience about "communities" in other european countries, but when the problems erupt, the ruling class flee. I don't think about a civil war, the situation is more complex than it happears and i think that is very difficult that labour starting seriously to wage war to their voter base.
