Haha, yes only Russia and Iran are doing this. Good guys wouldn't behave like this...Israel definitely isn't doing the same thing to Gaza.. Was propaganda always this lazy or is this a new development?

Whoopie doing this shit makes me more sad than other dipshit boomers. Growing up she was Guinan, a character on Star Trek TNG. She was unbelievably old and wise and gentle and kind and, honestly, had the best fucking hats. Every time she says something like this, or shat on Bernie, or whatever it is today, it drives home that it's all story telling, and makes it harder to believe in something better.

And the US Immediatly stops weapons shipments....the US immediately stops weopons shipments....right?

Does anyone have a link to this actual speech, whenever I hear something this damning, I assume something is wildly out of context.

I mean when we watch decades of wars that kill thousands of American's and MILLIONS of people in their own countries for no reason, maybe we need a little additional justification rather than "fight for your country". Nah! Probably just the fault of the "instant gratification" generations being selfish again.

We see more, and trust less now. Seems like a good first order explanation to me anyway.

I genuinely don't understand why so many people go with the network brand. AFAIK all of the US networks have MVNO's that operate on their networks at much lower cost. Some of those virtual operators are even owned by the big guys, e.g. Cricket on ATT. My coworkers pay literally hundreds of dollars more per month than is necessary, and what, they get a few Mbps faster data rates? Is that really worth it?

Edit: TIL a lot of people have had a hard time with MVNO's. My experience has been excellent and consistent, but that apparently doesn't generalize.

I'm just curious how many Palestinians need to die, and how much of Gaza needs to be razed to dust before we're "even" in the minds of proponents that somehow this war is justified. Legitimately and in good faith, when are we "good" here?

Is this not the shit that American cops use on American civilians like...all the time? Genuine question, would like to know if I'm wrong about that.

I've had to repeatedly switcho "new teams". The selection isn't sticky for some reason. It seems like it shouldn't be that hard to develope a messaging app that does file transfers and meetings but apparently this bloated pile of horseshit proves reason wrong. A second long delay when changing threads? "You'll use it because corporate says you will...and you'll LOVE IT".

So hot, equally baffled.

Was aksing myself the same question🤔

Is linked to excess deaths? Technically it could be saving lives at a population scale. I doubt that's the case, but it could be. I'll read the article now and find out.

Edit: it doesn't seem to say anything regarding "normal" auto related deaths. They're focusing on the bullshit designation of an unfinished product as "autopilot",and a (small) subset of specific cases that are particularly aggregious, where there were 5-10 seconds of lead time into an incident. In these cases a person who was paying attention wouldn't have been in the accident.

Also some clarity edits.

But it's cute and instagrammy when the israellis do it, not mean and warcrimey like when the Russians do it.

See this makes sense to me. In good faith I don't understand how tariffs couldn't work. I mean, even if it doesn't STOP import of Chinese EV's, the uptake would be so much less than if they were 50% off....right?

History is rife with examples of countries developing their own industries by making imports more expensive.

SDA? I used to be one of those😂

Way to make it to the memes guys! At least relevant somewhere!

As a non programmer, isn't visual basic for Excell scripts?

Best and brightest..

It seems like with that level of militancy they've got some pretty powerful class consciousness.

In the book "Highrisers", which is about the Cabrini-Greens housing developement in Chicago, there's a short section talking about how certain buildings were turned over to the tennents in a management capacity. It didn't fix all of the problems, and it didn't save Cabrini-Greens, but it did have some measure of success over beurocratic management by CHA, which was a joke. (FWIW I read this several years ago, so take it with a grain of salt)

That model has stuck out in my mind since. Why not have a simple budget for each building and let the work of maintenance be managed by the people who live there, with resources from the appropriate housing authority. The US is so fucking paternalistic about poverty and the people living in it. We build huge beurocracies incapable of truly scaling that then result in obsene waste like shown above. With some management some of that could be put on tennents, with them keeping some of benefits as well.

She's not blonde🤔

Equal opportunity haunter...

They're both genocide supporters, don't worry

Just doing a wellness check. Did you make it?

Cricket shill here. I've had cricket for years, it's affordable and has good perks like free roaming in Mexico and Canada. It's just an MVNO of ATT last I checked, so if ATT went down cricket would too.

OP is a troll for saying go vegan on an animal cruelty thread huh?...ok...

People withholding their vote from a bad candidate. Yeah...THAT'S the problem with the US😂.

I mean, if there were a single issue to decide a vote, seems like entheusiastic genocide support would be high up there. But what do I know...

I get this sentiment, but it'd go a long way for people who have the dreaded "range anxiety". If they want the expense of both systems, then go for it. I have a used Chevy Volt which is a PHEV, we got it a few years ago and didn't want to commit to full electric yet. It's my families only car and in our case it's been bullet proof. 95% of our driving is on electric with only family visits requiring gas. It's not a bad system for people who aren't convinced. Different now that it's becomming a culture war issue though.

Ha...guess I'm the asshole. But I still hate teams alright!

I wish that Obrien had handled this better rather than leaning into the macho chest-beating. He could've really made this guy look like even more of a doofus if he'd have just been like "Sorry, are you offering to fight me on the house floor right now? I'd like to speak to someone competent".

CHEAP legal weed😁

Doesn't sound like they're the ones crying...

I like how you add error bars to your statement. More people should post like that.

Biden isn't the only one who could win, and seems to be worse off than a generic dem in swing States, by a long shot. They're choosing the candidate again, like they did with Hillary, from the ranks of the least popular people in the US. They're shooting themselves and blaming the left and Muslims in MI already.

*woman

Came here to mention Trolls 2 as well. This film has great standing in my family.

They've found new and exciting ways to to stuff money in insurance pockets. I may be dumb, but I don't think subsidies are a solution at all. If the Government wanted to set prices...great. if they want to run a single payer system...sploosh. all this does is obscure from people how fucking expensive their healthcare is. I get that that satisfies the need of individual healthcare consumers (sort of....40$ vs the actual monthly rates people will be paying is kind of an "oh how cute" situation), it doesn't make the system any more sustainable.

🤯

Yeah maybe the problem is no one is describing what "work" means in this case. The goal is to reduce Chinese market share in the US EV market, protection of US industry ( lets be honest, probably the owners' income stream). I don't see that goal failing being likely.

He left in 2020 because they wouldn't allow him enough " editorial freedom". The end of that conflict should put you at ease with the intercept.
