You know you're a POS when a piracy community cheers for copyright lawsuits

Many will recommend you use Stremio instead. You'll probably want to use a VPN depending on your region though.

Kinda. It might be 3rd parties using it but it is 100% an API designed by Google to keep apps on Google Play.

I completely agree. I don't have autism, it's not a disease, it's part of who I am like my ethnicity. I am so fucking tired of having to conform to what neurotypicals think I should be.

In yesterday's America too. Look at the Battle of Blair Mountain for instance where corporations have run the show for centuries.

It's really pathetic how many of them lack any critical thinking skills. They're so enfranchised by the whole thing that they would rather lose friends and family over admitting a pedophile isn't fit to lead.

only about a third that want one but another third would rather argue with you about whether it is or isn't actually fascism.

Never ask a company to pick between the right thing and profit. It was all a matter of time till Google needed to stop growing and start producing profit for investors.

To make it worse the Pixel 9 starts at $800 just like iPhone. So if you're buying Android you don't really save money over an iPhone like you used to.

It's being taken to court in Florida so I'm not sure it'll even have to make it that far. Can't wait for the corporations with captive user bases to start rolling these arbitration clauses in as a paid service for other corporations.

Sorry, you can't sue ExonMobile for wrongful death, they have an arbitration clause in Comcast's end user agreement for your internet service that they leased. If you wanted to sue ExonMobile you should have not had internet, dummy.

I hear people say the world is flat. Never should have been in Vietnam in the first place.

Corporations using open source projects to maximize profits is very common.

Pretty sure there's enough weapons grade plutonium to run the US for 100 years in decommissioned nuclear weapons alone.

I think 100 years is enough time to build pumped hydro storage and renewables like solar/wind.

specialist minerals needed for hydro storage and renewables

What specialist materials are we talking about? Wind, solar, and pumped hydro use primarily copper, silicon, carbon, and concrete.

You seem to be trying to push a narrative that I don't oppose as if I do. I support degrowth but your reasons are flawed.

Pumped Hydro, solar, and wind don't really use lithium, nickel, or cobalt. Those are mostly used in NCM Liion cells that none of these use. Permanent magnets would probably be the biggest headache tbh.

Idk why we'd need silicone, we're not making sex toys here. /s silicon is most common in sand and rocks, something there is plenty of basically everywhere.

I don't care what you're saying for this circular problem. I've literally not addressed it once because I agree with you, I just don't agree with your reasoning.

The way that autism is used as an insult says otherwise.

It makes a difference in that you have to play perpetual whack-a-mole not only with VPN's but with hosting servers.

I’m all for capitalism, but not the current near limitless capitalism

That's just capitalism. Capital is power and if you allow people to be more powerful than others, they will use that power to amass more power. There never was and never will be limitless capitalism because we live in a finite world but there will be limitless suffering for the sake of profit.

I'm against it not because Trump was first but because it further incentivizes people to not make wages and rely on tips. Employers should pay a living wage and not subsidize employment via tips.

The community feels genuine, reasonable, and not reactionary. I don't know why but that's hard to find on the internet as a whole.

I got news for you about almost every ISP

I wasn't just talking about blockage but also servers being taken down physically or via ISP. I don't think I'm nearly as well versed in Signal as you are to go into depth of how it circumvents blockage via protocols but I assume they don't decentralize their hosts.

As well as exponentially increasing taxes on private property. Owning more homes that you can occupy at a time should be prohibitively expensive and all the money collected via taxation of property should go towards housing those in need.

Tbf you're paying for the college to provide you internet.

Yeah, then it can just export all of the problems to other countries and abuse the hell out of those with no power to fight back.

Leave it to the Brits to be beaten by America's weather.

Wtf are you talking about? I never mentioned racism. lol

This is some peak capitalist realism. Never once did I say that communism was the solution, I provided no solutions at all actually, and I simply pointed out the flaws in capitalism but you know so little about economic systems to go to communism.

Can't do any more mental gymnastics to defend capitalism so you go to fear of another system not even discussed. You and I are not immune to propaganda and if you believe in democracy then why would your workplace not be democratic? The manufacturers never would have voted to move their jobs to China during the late 20th century. The capitalists did it. Walmart was a small family business and now it's the largest employer in the US and half of it is owned by people born into a specific family like a monarchy.

I get that you support Keynesian economics but this was before globalism and you can't rely on a government to fight capitalism in places it doesn't govern.

Idk, I think the original guy has a point. Small and medium businesses generally work really well in western economies, it’s the megacorps and monopolies that fuck all the shit up

Basically all megacorps and monopolies started as small and medium businesses. And I'm not against small and medium businesses but that whoever has money owns said businesses. Capitalism is the idea that the workers don't own the business they work at but someone who's never worked there does. Capitalism is the driving force that makes small and medium businesses into megacorps.

It's one thing to say what you stand for, it's another thing entirely to say you will make something happen. This is what makes people apathetic in voting because it feels like they make promises they have no intention on keeping. Harris supports codifying abortion and I'm all fucking here for it but she has no power to get that through congress, only to talk it up and not veto it.

I don't understand why presidential candidates love talking about things that would take an act of congress. Unless congress gets filled with more progressives, this isn't going to happen, even other Dems will oppose it.

While that is true, it's also not true. There are more times a president has communicated a plan with guidance and it never went anywhere.

Biden promised minimum wage increases and student loan forgiveness. Neither have happened and not because he hasn't tried but because he is relatively powerless to actually make that happen.
