For me it's a let the dead lie kind of thing. This kind of stuff just means that once a comedian or celebrity dies, a company can continue to squeeze their likeness to death in a money grab. Sure if they could stop at half assed AI shows just as a "can it really be done" thing, then it's not so terrible. But each time they're going to be doing their damnedest to improve it.

Eventually we will reach a dystopia where 1) just because you're dead doesn't mean it's over and 2) why get new talent and new blood when there's dead blood to keep squeezing. Next up stars will have issues where when they go to sign a contract, they have to make sure their families get portions of profits from AI content for literal decades after their death. Otherwise the big companies get to keep making money off them with no protection for their family.

That's only for June though. I'm going to wait for the august report to see the drop include the massive exodus that came July 1st. I know I hopped over here then, and all of the posts for like 3 days were people who left in June, or about the exodus with comment sections full of newcomers.

We do actually have the bag and jug too! I love getting my milk at Kwik Trip because that's how they sell it. And it just tastes better. If it weren't so damn expensive, I'd force my household to convert to it.

3 more...

Boost mobile doesn't even do financing, but they require you be with them for a year before they'll unlock your phone. I refuse to go back to them after buying an LG Stylo, and then when I wanted to switch 6 months later they refused to release the phone. I ended up having to buy a whole new phone when I didn't have the money to do so.

Irishtemper got it right! Wisconsin, we have it here at the Kwik trips. Might be in other places too, but that's where I go to get it.

Oh sweet, it still works? I uninstalled it on the 1st because I found muscle memory had me opening it and I didn't want the dev racking up fees on my behalf. Hope he figured it out, I know he really poured time keeping that app going.

Although I do this, I do also have a counterpoint to this. I will set my machine to go and it says 60 minutes. Cool, set a timer for that long. Come back in 60 minutes, and it still has 5 minutes left. I ended up figuring out the machine is somehow determining that at 60 minutes, the clothes/blankets/whatever is still too wet, so it's adding time to the spin cycle to try and spin them more. Having it just ping me would be amazing, but also I do not want to have a machine that refuses to operate without WiFi or some crap.
