Huge disagree on the Fire tablets, especially the 7”. The one we have is unusable with how laggy and slow it is.

Love me some LGR

Against the Storm is my favorite one. It gives me my favorite part of city building: the early/mid game.

I’m looking for either factory / automation games (see: Factorio, Satisfactory, Nova Lands, etc.) or games similar to Against the Storm (Roguelike city builder). Anyone have any suggestions?

I’m sad I spent so much money on the EoD edition, but I’m so glad I found SPT to make the game I wanted EFT to be. Fuck BSG, I won’t play this game online and I won’t give them a single cent more.

Fucking yikes, I don’t know what else to say.

Oh man, this looks straight up my alley. Thanks!!

IIRC this is also coming to game pass in March.

Oh my god yes, I forgot I had this demo installed. I also grabbed Final Factory and Civ Idle.

Any other jams?

I’d even argue that most platforms are directly adversarial to a users individual privacy. User data is such a hot commodity these days that it’s even beyond planning your own privacy, but you’re essentially farming out your data for free.

Disclosure: I use Discord and plenty of similar apps, but it’s important to protect yourself.

I finally beat Grounded - such a fun game. I happily played almost 60 hours with only a few complaints.

Now I’m playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I played Yakuza 0 then jumped straight to LAD, which I think was the right call. It balances the line of not taking myself seriously but really being enjoyable to play. I also love how Game Pass Cloud syncs with my Xbox Series X cloud save, so I can play it on the Steam Deck really easily.

I’ve also been super sucked into EVE Online - I played like 10 year ago and it’s been really fun to jump back in.

I don’t know if it will meet your needs, but I’ve recently picked up a license to TypingMind and I use the OpenAI API - it’s a very good tool IMO.

I heavily prefer Apple (found this from the main feed), but just had to share my experience. At the end of the day, the Fire 7 for kids is the epitome of “you get what you pay for.” $50 tablet with $50 tablet performance.

Very well said - opsec is definitely important.

As in, turn based? Or grander?

Yeah I have DSP, I gotta see if they fixed the really rough translation.

Yeah I agree, and I hesitated to buy TypingMind, but I figured the $30 or whatever was cheaper than my time.

I had cleaned up as much as I could off of ours, but it was still unusable. Visible latency entering in the unlock PIN, slow scrolling in apps, poor battery life. Just beyond frustrating.
