I remember reading a blog post describing similar compatibility patches in Windows, writing something in the line of:

Whenever you start an exe on windows, the OS must first ask itself the good old question of "Am I running Lego Island"

Not sure about the latest Android version, but I managed to unlock and bypass a phone which had factory reset protection, and as far as I know a lot of vendors like Samsung have their own exploit available.
Using this you can manage to get to the settings app (while still locked, waiting for the previous owners google account) and remove the account, add your own or disable the security.
Done!

In their defense, my German EV lost a good 40% range on the winter

I have the same experience as you. Played a bit and it's quite good, I'm curious to see how it will grow and expand

Define standard English?
Both the USA and UK don't agree on what it is.

Sometimes the basic hamburger used to be 1€, and the cheese was alternating between 2.80€ and 1.20€.
When partying (either before or after) I would get like 10 hamburgers for the group.
It's easy to eat, not too heavy, and if you believe the rumors, full of anti-vomiting chemicals. Great when consuming loads of alcohol.

That's why there were no incidents in Japan a decade ago. Especially not after multiple reports of potential danger 🤷‍♂️.

I have the same reserves as the person you commented on. "We" may have great agencies working to prevent issues, but it's not the case everywhere in the world. And if you want to use fission as a solution for climate change, you need to have every developing country to use it too, whatever the stability of the region.

Just look at Ukraine where the safety of one their reactor is on the line because of the war, and the mines Russia put all over. Chernobyl 2.0 if things go wrong :(

It's not the exact same scenario, but it's close.
In French it's a similar list of animals, but it's sitting on your lap, so "you" pick up the phone and call your friend the spider to come eat the fly.
Thanks, maybe from this I can find the french version

The PS5 has a CPU equivalent of a Ryzen 2600. You didn't have to spend 500 bucks on a CPU to outperform it.
The 3600x was released a year before the PS5, and was $200 on launch. You either got screwed over or don't know what your talking about?

GPU wise it's different, but there were compounding factors that inflated the prices. If you got a GPU from before the pandemic, chances are $800 would get you top of the line, which probably outperform the PS5 even to this day.

Now does a PS5 cost less ? Sure, they sell them at a loss and make money on games and online scam subscription services.

Edit: my bad the PS5 has a 3700x, so the 3600x comparison is still valid. Can't check the release price of the 3700vs3600 but it's not 2x higher anyway.

The 3700x was 320$ and the 3600x 200$.
But I get you, running games at a higher resolution is prettier than upscaling to get better frame rate.
I think a lot of ppl don't know that the PS5 is upscaling most games and is not running a native 4k generally. Then they compare to pc hardware that does native 4k and say it's more expansive 🤷‍♂️

Your stats show it's not just kids...

Unless you consider anyone under 50 to be kids.

I don't know, I like spicy food but I had trouble eating the one in the thumbnail I bought in Thailand. It was really intense during, after and the day after on the toilet.
Maybe you are desensitized to the spiciness, or the version you had was milder

Thank you mods, I don't know what would reddit users do without that precious AdviceAnimals sub !

I would Guess the air cannot sustain the performance as well as the pro. The battery is way bigger afaik Doing 16+h on a single battery charge is insane

Why would this be illegal in Europe ?

I think I read the book you mention! I thought about it recently but could not remember the name

Probably months in advance, but before that it was difficult to predict when it was gonna happen. Russia warring into the west has been predicted by NATO military for a good while (a few years at least), they have also been preparing since then.

Yep.. did not get to choose which car I got, and was quite disappointed with it. The car itself is okay, the driving is good. But the battery and its management was horrible. They even sent a recall recently because the battery was draining abnormally fast when not using the car

So kids: 25% ok Non kifs: 75% 🤔

What is this from ? I remember a recording for kids when I was baby with a story like this, but it was in french.
I've tried to find it again but to no avail

The latest version of Synology with the container manager allows you to update images from the registry and will restart the container for you.
But I still migrated to docker compose to enable hw transcoding with quicksync

I did not yet upgrade to the latest version, but to migrate to compose I only had to copy the volume paths and the environment variables from Synology.
I can share my compose yaml by the end of the day if you need.

Before I upgrade I will try putting the cache on a SSD instead, seems it can improve performance quite a bit

They ship their MBP 16" with 140w power supplies, way higher than framework standard 60w charger. But I would guess it's to be able to push full power and still charge the battery as fast as possible

The biggest difference for me was the noise. Intel mbp fans spinning as soon as you open more than one application, going turbo if you compile anything and slowing down in the summer because of the heat.

The only time I heard my M1 Mac fans is when I left the poor thing in direct sunlight outside

Top kek.

Yeah sure, the Fukushima region is/was thriving and people were happy to live next to a nuclear disaster. The cleanup will take another decade and lots of money. It's not just about the immediate radiation.

International bodies, like the ones that (afaik) can't access Iran's nuclear enrichment plants anymore ? Sure it may be more related to nuke production, and that's a tangential problem.

Stand off your high horse and your hyperboles. I didn't say that it was impossible to work on climate change without 190 going nuclear. However it's ignoring that most pollution comes from developing countries, countries that do not want to sacrifice their development, and would need nuclear or renewable. Guess what is cheaper and safer?

For Ukraine, yeah, but did you or I have a say in this war ? Do we have a say on Russia preventing 90% of workers that know the plant to go to work ? No such risk with renewables (except maybe hydro, as shown by Russia too).

Did I say that the plant would explode exactly like Chernobyl? No. The plant can be a disaster if one or multiple missiles hit it, with the mines and explosives reported as being set everywhere. Could the plant resist such impacts ? Probably, maybe. Do I care to find out ? No thanks.

Don't bother to respond if you are to take this discussion in bad faith. We can discuss things like adults without being hurt by the other side having a different opinion.

Your first paragraph is wrong imo. A minority of users are using 3.5mm jack, including a port on the phone for all users results in more waste than having that minority buy an adapter that can be re used on any phone in the future.

Also please don't argue that jack users aren't a minority now. Most users don't care about having the port on their phone, and most are happy with wireless.
