Samsung could easily win me over if their bootloader was unlock able.
Edit: Apparently it's just US variants that can't be unlocked

Can some custom rom group do the same type of video but about Google not allowing third party sms apps to use RCS?

Jellyfins pretty great. It's much simpler than Plex and has quite a few less features, but it does what it does really well

Credit unions are better but that doesnt mean their app will work on a rooted device
Source: My credit Union app doesnt work on my rooted devices 🙃

Google striking when the iron is ice cold

Definitively grab one of the Memory Stick/MicroSD adapters, way cheaper and better than using a memory stick.

I have one of these and built a few for my friends. Honestly a fantastic system. I find myself playing it way more than my Analogue Pocket.
If you're not a fan of their bootlogo heres an unofficial fw with the original gb/gbc bootlogo (its in the patched_fw directory)

I tried Umbrel and i hated it. I switched to Cosmos and its great

I'm a pretty big supporter of emulation and love what Dolphin is doing, that said, lets not poke the bear. Dolphin is easy enough to get working everywhere, it doesn't need to be listed on steam.

Or over 2x the price of an FPGBC

Good. I was really worried about the steam deck. On paper it seemed too good to be true, and Valves track record with hardware is abysmal.
I ended up getting one and its honestly one of my best gaming purchases. Pretty tempted to grab an OLED

Works on Calyx! My banks didn't work on Lineage through aurora. I think it only checks for a locked bootloader?

As far as games from this year Alan Wake 2. Im not done with it yet but it's making a solid case for being my favorite horror game of all time

This is the one. It honestly works better than the first party YT app

Lemuroid is my favorite. Available on fdroid and the play store

As far as camera bumps go, the visor is the one I hate the least. Glad google is sticking with it

I wonder if this means the visor is done :(

Libretube seems to almost never work for me no matter what instance i try.
Also worth adding Smarttube for AndroidTV

I really like the idea of cosmos. My first go with it resulted in the app crashing every 10 seconds after I installed Jellyfin. Ill have to give it another go

Is there one that doesn't suck and isn't auto/carplay?

Probably a smart move after the Yuzu stuff

I buy most of my music and use Navidrome to stream it. Tempo is a great android app and the Navidrome web app is solid

Niagara Launcher. It just perfectly fits for me. I don't like clutter on my homescreen

I got with Ancient Egyptian Deities for everything. (See: my username).

I think Graphene supports Auto. Its the only thing that makes me want to switch from Calyx

Ive been using ivy on my Chromecast it's good, but Flauncher looks more like what I want.
Protip for Chromecast users - disable the stock launcher via adb to set a new default

+1 for MuPDF. It's so lightweight it almost feels like a native part of the OS

Cosmos, I figured it out tho. The guide I was following to install it used a docker compose template that had some problems with it

One major annoyance is contact/calendar syncing. DAVX works great but you do need to set up your own provider. I ended up using my NAS, synology has apps that do that

Waze for me unfortunately owned by Google tho. Doesn't require play services

No all the apps are running through docker. Some apps run in docker with vnc

I've had a 218+ since 2017. The only reason I might upgrade is to have space for more drives. Im way more of a data hoarder than I used to be

+1 for memos. I use MoeMenos on android. I don't need too many features in a memos app so it's perfect for me

CalyxOS. Uses microG but is otherwise google free. Feels fairly vanilla and has a pretty solid backup solution in Seedvault

Really love tempo. I think my only request would be an option for list views instead of a grid

ProjectIvy is a great launcher if anyone needs it

I use CIFS Document Provider and the stock files app lets me browse the share without an exact path. Does require IP tho

+1 for cosmos

What about Fossify Calendar (a fork of and currently pretty identical to Simple Calendar). It's honestly the best calendar I've used

Cosmos is my favorite. Its a bit newer, but it gets in my way less than Casa or Umbrel
