Just don't call those things unlimited then?

Electron is an unholy fusion of Chromium and Node.JS. Nothing more, nothing less. It doesn't 'just happen' to use HTML and CSS. It's literally just a browser with most of the default browser UI being hidden. Something like React Native would better fit your definition.

You don't need a fully developed brain to understand that intentionally driving into a brick wall at 100 mph will have severe consequences.

I think most people could have predicted that. Most of the things Musk removed were there for a reason (Regardless of whether they where popular with Twitter's users or not). Mostly of economical or legal nature. You cannot simply remove them if you want Twitter to someday make a profit.

There are still differences between breeds. Some are naturally less aggressive than others (or a physically incapable of causing much harm) even when not properly trained. Statistics show that pitbulls are extremely overrepresented in unprovoked attacks with major consequences.

Problem is that American cities were designed around cars. Getting anywhere on foot, especially for those who live in suburban areas, is basically impossible.

Honestly, I think Gmail's web client is pretty great. It actually has tons of power user features I found very handy in the past (like support for scripting).

Feed generation is already a very complex process implementing hundreds or thousands of variables to show every single user only posts that are likely to be relevant to them. Filtering out any posts by blocked accounts shouldn't matter here. The real reason why Elon removed the feature is probably that he realized he was the most blocked person on Twitter, lol.

Nobody should use Telegram, in my opinion. It's run by a shady company that doesn't even disclose the inner workings of their service properly, uses a non-standard encryption protocol and doesn't even encrypt chats by default. The only thing I like about Telegram is the fact that you don't have to expose your phone number to use it.

How is USB 2.0 normal in a phone that costs upwards of $800?

Only reason I could think of is that compressing white noise is very inefficient because of its high entropy. Compression needs patterns and white noise doesn't really have any.

Yeah, that's the order I always say them in

First time I see that website actually working.

Have been using it for years.

His soul still intact

The thing is, what Apple is doing with memory actually does make sense from a performance and efficiency standpoint. Modern CPUs and GPUs have become so fast that the time signals take to travel between components (like memory and CPU) has become critical (especially in their new M1 products as memory is being shared between the CPU and GPU). That being said, the same definitely isn't true for storage. Apple soldering SSDs to the motherboard is just them trying to rip their customers off.

The hardware is good, the software sucks. It's not even Samsung's fault but unless you only use a few selected apps, tablet support is usually pretty bad.

The renaissance of free streaming.

The only reason Google keeps Mozilla alive is so they can claim Chromium doesn't have a monopoly on browser engines.

Apple doesn't allow extensions to be distributed outside of the AppStore and Firefox on Android is based on WebKit anyway because neither do they allow third-party browser engines. So I wouldn't hold my breath.

Good list. A few ones I would add are:

  • Solar Sands *I did a thing

  • Integza

  • Tom Stanton

  • Ahoy

  • LGR

  • Techmoan

  • The 8-bit guy

  • Tom Scott

  • LEMMiNO

  • Mustard

  • bigclivedotcom

  • Practical Engineering

  • DIY Perks

  • Steve Mould

  • b2studios

  • Plasma Channel

  • Real Engineering

  • POSY

  • Mike Boyd

  • Bobby Broccoli

  • NileRed

  • VWestlife

More technical:

  • Ben Eater
  • Sebastian Lague
  • Kevin Fang

They always do. The main reason graphics drivers are so fucking huge is that they contain tons of game specific patches. Nvidia has what they call "game-ready" updates which are supposed to increase performance of popular games or patch specific bugs.

Well, yeah, people did get angry. Just like when conveyor belts, weaving machines, and steam engines were introduced.

Realme belongs to Oppo which belongs to the same parent company as OnePlus (BBK). They share a lot of technology and often OnePlus phones are really just rebranded Oppo phones.

How much of that do you need to assess whether driving into a brick wall at 100 mph is a bad idea. How did this person even stay alive until 18?

Why can't Chinese companies give themselves a proper name?

Cat bites often become infected when not treated properly. But at least they are basically incapable of killing you immediately or causing lifelong disfigurement.

Those people would still exist even you banned suits. You just wouldn't be able to recognize them anymore.

That still requires a certain level of technical understanding (purchasing a domain, understanding where to host, setting up domain records, having to deal with your mails landing in the spam directory of common email providers, etc.). I doubt my father, for example, could set all that up without help.

Huh? No, I am not. Find me an inexpensive laser printer that does color at the same level of quality as a basic inkjet printer.

Color laser printers are very expensive and still don't achieve the same picture quality as an inkjet printer. And I have read once that dust from laser printers might cause cancer but not sure how much there really is to that.

Nothing in comparison to Alexander Gauland and Uwe Junge. Two leading members of the party.

Well, the website and mobile app are overwhelmingly hated (just look at the reviews on the PlayStore). I think there are two major things helping Reddit: It's easy to grasp (Lemmy has instances, dozens of different apps, etc.) and the fact that Reddit already has a community for basically everything.

Ruby was designed to evoke joy and they absolutely succeeded. Usually, programming is mostly a means to an end to me. But using Ruby just feels so amazing, it's almost impossible to even describe to somebody who has never used it before.

They have. OnePlus was great until the OnePlus 5. Now they have become just another premium smartphone brand. Same thing will happen to Nothing eventually.

Electron is a framework for building desktop applications using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. By embedding Chromium and Node.js into its binary, Electron allows you to maintain one JavaScript codebase and create cross-platform apps that work on Windows, macOS, and Linux — no native development experience required.

Electron docs

Electron is so much more than "just a web engine with a full set of OS xalls hooked in". Ultralight and Sciter are frameworks that actually just happen to use HTML, CSS and JavaScript for UI development. They aren't fully-fledged web browsers without a search box, they are tailor-made for app development.

That does not answer my question? Have you ever drank alcohol (any, even once a year or a single time in your life)? If so, are you going to therapy?

Who said I paid for it?

Well, then there has never been a better time to upgrade to USB 3/4 than now.

Possible but unlikely. Shepherds do not need to be taught to herd. Pointers do not need to be taught to point. Retrievers do not need to be taught to retrieve. It just lays in their nature.

And even if that was the case, banning a strong breed physically capable of causing lifelong disfigurement or even death could still help reducing the amount of incidents.

I'm obviously not asking for all pitbulls to be euthanized. I'm just asking for them not being allowed to reproduce.
