A very expensive power cord setup for audiophiles... it's snake blood oil basically.
The mental state is the problem... imagine one of them suddenly dies.
There should have been a note saying NOT to join the top most instances. I know registration with them is without manual aproval (you register, log in, that's it), but they're overloaded. Trust me when I say this, it's better to wait a few hours for your account to be approved on another less loaded instance than to have the account right there and then on an overloaded instance.
Instances I would recommend: vlemmy.net and feddit.nl.
Yeah, I hear ya... no SATA ports gets me in a bad mood as well.
So was sh.itjust.works till about 10 minutes ago.
Oh man, this is priceless ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ.
Yeah, snake oil ๐. Not a native English speaker, forgot the term ๐.
Just tried it (writing this comment from it). Generally, it feels a lot more polished and nicer looking than Jerboa, but, if you set the feed to Subsciber, nothing happens, it just loads a blank page.
Other than this, it feels a lot better than Jerboa. So I would use it, but the Subscribed feed is broken, so that's a deal breaker for me currently.
I never understood the whole tip thing. They get paid as well as I do, I don't ask for tips when I do my job.
It's complete bullshit cuz that field doesn't interact with the already shielded signal cables. You can also have the speaker cables shielded if you think that field with interfere with a signal that large.
In any case, even if it does interfere, you can't hear the interference, I guarantee you that. No human can, and this has been proven on multiple blind listening tests, yet these things still sell ๐คท. Sheep will be sheep.
Do watch some of the videos posted above.
Yep, agreed. Just tried it, and if it wasn't for the Subscribed feed not loading bug, I'd use this instead of Jerboa.
I'm just playing it safe, I've had so many posts removed from this comm, I still have no idea why. Sometimes they give a reason, sometimes they don't.
To be honest, one of their servers could probably serve up to 100k users, but theirs are not made from scrap parts and budget VPSes.
That won't solve the latency and slowness issue. The apps connect to the instances, just as the regular web UI does. If the instance is overloaded, that won't solve the problem.
Oh... that makes sense now... but I'm still not gonna do it.
We'll make our own reddit! With blackjack and hookers!
Yes, Lemmy in open source FOSS project, so is the Android app (Jerboa).
There is another iOS app that is still in beta I think, it's called Mlem.
That's enough internet for today.
There is something seriously wrong with them... that man needs to LEAVE ASAP!
He's on lemmy.world, so probably that one.
Oh man ๐ฌ... you don't wanna share that in this comm ๐ฌ...
Actually, it was, just not right now.
I mean, it was supossed to be an alternative, not replace reddit.
Yep, configuring the game/midi port was a PITA.
Nope, I don't think that's a feature in Lemmy currently.
It's from Futurama, but yes, I'd rather skip the blackjack as well ๐.
Lol, another reason to never look back regarding MS shit ๐. Hide system files no more ๐คจ ๐คฃ!? Why don't we just remove everything from being viewed and just say that you can only mod user files and that's it ๐คฃ. There is only User<UserName> and that's it ๐คฃ.
They'd still have to release the source for their modded versions with ads, thus, ads can be mitigated from the instance client/app side.
The frog is one of my colleagues. You know the feeling when you get embarased by what someone else says ๐คฆ.
PS: In case someone's wondering, he got hired because his uncle is the CEO.
There field Neo... endless fields... where we are no longer born, we are grown.
Yeah, that too. Noticed it after I wrote my previous reply, lol ๐.
The Subscribed feed is showing up empty. Other settings regarding the feed work fine, but the Subscribed feed is broken. Also, replies showing up as double replies, one below the other, once you reply to a post.
And you could make the search menu a bit more... friendly. Currently you have to add instances in order to search for communities in them. Not practical at all, there are hundreds of instances, if I had to add each one in order to search in them, that will just take way too long. Why not have instance and communities auto-discoverable, like in Jerboa (type in search the community you're lookimg for, results pop up).
I meant as in opening my own instance, thus, all of the hosting fees are on me (and a few other people, but mostly me). I currently run that forum, so I pay the hosting fees, things aren't gonna change much if just switch to another platform.
Why Mr. Anderson, WHY DO YOU PERSIST!
My thoughts as well... like a python of some sort, lol.

Posting language could also be an issue if posts don't show at all. Try not to select a language when posting, leave it on undetermined, don't select English or something esle. The Autism community on sh.just.works (I think ๐ค) had this problem. Their main mod alsways chose English when posting a new post or comment and a large portion of the comments can't be seen from a lot of instances, unless you have selected (ticked) English in the languages on your profile.
lmao ๐คฃ
So? It's not like you're gonna get banned here, lol ๐.
