I work with middle eastern guys who are like this, they hide this side of themselves when I'm around (white guy) but it comes out when my female coworkers are alone. It's common enough that I've heard about it from multiple people. But when I'm around they're great and I consider them good work friends.

You'll need this too...

Someone important watched the latest episode of last week tonight. As someone with no iron in the fire, I'm glad there are still responsible adults running things from the background

Our politicians are pushing hard for an American system in Canada, the provincial Conservative (Republican) governments are underfunding healthcare so they can turn around and say "See!? This is why we need a two tier system." it's bullshit.

Hamilton, up on the escarpment. Clouds were rolling through but it cleared enough to get this. Buddy used his eclipse glasses to capture this, I have a few shots without the glasses and the shots don't look half as good.

Interesting fact, this baby was everywhere because it came with 3D Studio Max. It was included as a demo model alongside a cartoony ogre and a velociraptor.

The animation was also included to demo their Character Studio animation and motion capture capabilities.

It's all about ads to them, and I will do anything in my power not to see ads of products I am not interested in.. which is pretty much anything being advertised to me.

Canada has advertising restrictions, notably drug commercials and until recently: sports betting. I wish they hadn't allowed those, they're the worst and since we're a new market every single site is advertising up here.

Looks like an older version of this bulk animal incinerator

Its available on the open web again, they've made official plugins to help you find it:

There's a chrome equivalent that no one should be using.

Looks like ChatGPT trained their models better, probably before sites could take measures to prevent that. Gemini however was thrown together by throwing money and people at the problem in order to catch up and not be left behind. Which from what I've read seems to be their biggest fear.

My Pixel 9 has AI everywhere but I certainly wouldn't pay the price they want to continue "using" Gemini after my trial.

Because it's locktober. Lock your sissies up!

The nerd OS for irritable people. I could use Arch, but choose to retain what shreds of sanity I have left.

I have really severe Charlie horses and started potassium when I heard this, it helped slightly but magnesium is what did the trick for me.

And the sad part is he's probably going to win the next election. So many family members are starting to parrot his stupidity, and even my hardcore liberal friends are starting to lean because we're all tired of Trudeau and whatever stupid thing he's doing this week that will cost us money.

I read 2 articles on its creation and different animators were mentioned in each story. The only consensus I saw between the articles was that John Chadwick combined the baby model, animation and music together. The baby model was purchased to be used in 3DSMax, so they could have made it for Ally Mcbeal then sold the model

When I had Spotify I always heard the same stuff and when I invariably got tired of that same stuff and wanted to expand my tastes, I had a hard time finding stuff I liked.

For all the hate YouTube gets I much prefer it now, not a day goes by where something new (that I actually like enough not to skip) appears in my supermix. What isn't good about the algorithm is if someone plays something on your account that isn't what you like, the next week will be constant additions of whatever genre your wife decided to play..

I've been working nights for a good chunk of my life and I can't understand why people say this. I prefer to drive at night, maybe if I didn't live in a big city I might think differently. But, I've never had an accident, I rarely sit in traffic, cops generally have bigger shit to deal with at night so I don't need to worry about speed traps or anything. I can't think of any downside to night driving

Amazon plugged all the loopholes.

The only way to do it now is to have an older Kindle device attached to your account, you can go into "Content & Devices" and you have the option to transfer to your Kindle via usb. Which will give you an azw3 file that you can use with DeDRM. But you can't do it with KU which will only be served in KFX format.

The KFX team have infiltrated the groups who come up with vulnerabilities to allow DRM removal of kfx to then patch those issues before they can hit the general public. They've done it repeatedly so far so that's why they've given up on DRM removal of kfx.

You'll wanna use PowerShell. It has its eccentricities when running programs but is a more shell like experience

I did and he was completely useless, he prescribed me baclofen which I take like tictacs and they do jack shit. He was out of ideas so I googled it and found out about magnesium. Got some "Calm" which is magnesium citrate and no more insane pain.

Canada has massive immigration targets, but guess what? No one wants to move to the middle of nowhere where it gets down to -45C they want to live in major cities along the border, where we haven't built housing since the 70s and unless these immigrants bring money to buy hyperinflated 2M dollar houses end up living terrible lives, doing terrible jobs, further putting a strain on our crumbling healthcare system.

I'm all for immigration but we need a place for people to go. Refugees are showing up right now and we don't know where to put them, a whole whack of them that showed up were living on the streets in 40+C weather because we have no place to put them and little money to put them up somewhere

I checked out OpenAudible posted in this topic and it seems interesting, and might be a better choice. But if you're looking to rip your audible files yourself you'll want inAudible: https://github.com/rmcrackan/inAudible

There are other options around, but none of them are as free or as good as inAudible, IMO.

I have a genetic condition that severely limits testosterone production. Didn't find out until I was almost 40, my health hasn't been terrible. Mental health is a different story.

I've spent the majority of my life "castrated" and it hasn't been all that bad, that being said I still had urges even with pretty much zero testosterone so I question whether it will do anything to prevent abuse.

ReVanced can make use of root, but doesn't require it. I use ReVanced on an unrooted phone, and the core of ReVanced is the official YouTube app so everything works the same way. You pick "patches" to disable ads, shorts, etc.

Not in the US, but production is limited and there have been pretty bad shortages in Canada and Australia. They had to put an export ban on Ozempic because so much of it was being sold to Americans, in Canada we pay $160US, while the same box sells for $970US in the states.

Im a diabetic, and earlier in the year we had a hard time getting it due to all the off label use.

As someone who's spent a couple weeks down a stable diffusion rabbit hole. I can attest that they don't need to be trained on CP to generate CP content. Using some very popular checkpoints I inadvertently created some images that I found questionable enough to immediately delete. And I wasn't even using prompts to generate young girls, with the right prompts I can easily see some of the more popular checkpoints pumping out CP.

Does Prowlarr work in a similar way?

1 in 600 men have kleinfelter syndrome (XXY) most have no idea they have it, I found out at 39. I've had lots of thoughts like this throughout my life, or I'll see an absolutely stunning woman and the first thought I'll have is 'wtf is she wearing'. I always thought I was just weird.

Coming to terms with the fact that I'm intersex has been interesting. At one point I would've described myself as a 'cis male', now alot of the feelings I've repressed for years are starting to make themselves known. Now I don't know what I am

Nothing, there is nothing wrong with nano. There are what I will call vim purists who think using anything but vim is sacrilege. I've been using nano, and it's predecessor Pico forever and while I can use vim if I need to, I don't hate myself enough to do so.
