My last office job involved my desk being 7 feet from the entry door to the building. We had codes to get in so anyone not employed there had to knock and it was on me to get up and figure out who they are and decide if I could let them in. Half the time this also involved me tracking down someone else in the building to see if they were expecting said individual OR I had to have the back and forth discussion with said individual that no we don’t want your services and point to the No Soliciting sticker right on front of them on the door. This definitely took away from my productivity.

I accidentally put a product in my purse at Walgreens to get my phone out, and within 5 seconds an overhead page went off saying “code zero, code zero”. I quickly grabbed the product back out and half yelled “omg I’m sorry!” before going to the register to pay for it and also mumbling to the cashier who probably gave no fucks that I was sorry, it was very much an accident.

Enamel pins. Some are really cool artist made ones that were done in 2-3 variants and maybe only 25 of one variant were even produced. Those are difficult to come by when released and gain value usually 30 days after their release date. But I also have a bunch of just smaller ones I pick up here and there. They’re just neat

I recently made a Fetlife account and actually looking forward to some meetups where I’m soon to be moving to. A friend recommended this to me as she’s having far better luck meeting people this way and can explore some new things. The negative part is the messages from men who don’t take the time to read profiles, but messages can be ignored and people can be blocked. It’s the meetups that seem to be beneficial for some people.

I joined in early 2012. In 2015 I became a mod on an active created by a friend for our EDM scene in a fairly major city. I had a Google calendar linked to FB event pages and added events multiple times a week and also helped mod a sub for a record label out of said city with now some widely known national artists. I’ve since moved states and stopped using Reddit after the blackout/API stuff. I miss it.
