I've found sailing the high seas to be far more convenient than using Netflix nowadays. I can watch what I want to watch when I want, instead of finding out a movie I wanted to watch was removed recently

"teach them Chinese because they live in china"

  1. Chinese isn't a language

  2. Oh, let's just go and force all Indians to speak Hindi, I'm sure the entire south of the country would be okay with giving up their mother tongues for Hindi.

This "one language, one country" thing is deranged white thought

Can I install/update my bank apps, and pay with my phone? That's the bare minimum I need to switch to a deGoogled OS.

I'm a grocery store worker and I'd rather just lower our stock count by 1 than have to go stand lookout at the exits of the store. Big chain supermarkets budget for theft and it doesn't affect the workers.

I can't say if I'm autistic or not but I hate reading news from sources I know to be untrustworthy because I still find myself thinking "this sounds correct" until I finish reading and remember it's 99% bs

Well look at this person humble bragging their healthy set of teeth!

Biggest personal examples are Minecraft and FL Studio. I asked my parents to buy Minecraft for me after a week of pirating it, and I bought an FL Studio license when I could afford to, nearly a decade after I first used it. I don't use it much, but it felt right.

I still browse Reddit about as much as Lemmy, because many communities haven't taken off here yet.

I think it's good to read and criticise the materials that "opponents" read.
