I voted for this. There was a lot of outright blatant lies on the commercials against this.

I forgot it even passed until my kid started kindergarten in the fall and during registration we were told starting that year all school lunches are free.

They never organize, canvass, campaign.. they never put in the work. It's easy to sit on Twitter all day and disparage the Democratic Party (yes they have many flaws as well) and nothing else.

They're lazy grifters.

What exactly did Jill Stein do with that $7 million for the recount? She was interviewed by Mehdi Hassan and he kept asking her why she won't call out Putin when she has no problem calling out Bibi. Yes two things can be true at once. She just couldn't explain why she refused to call Putin out on his war mongering and genocide.

DD is just explaining that it's a bidding system. Few if any drivers are going to want to drive out of their way to pick it up and deliver it to you for little or no guaranteed tip listed up front and high chance of someone bailing on it anyway. Food sits at the restaurant for a long time

Pretty sure if I were to put a $20 tip I'd have no problems getting someone to accept the order immediately.

I volunteered on his campaigns. Bernie is almost always right.

Some anecdotes from my experiences during this time:

I lived and worked in downtown Chicago at the time, right next to the Board of Trade. The local OWS was set up right next to it. I remember the traders had dumped out a bunch of McDonald's job applications from the window onto them below. I would walk by them everyday for months and absolutely no one was paying them attention. It was a small group of people and eventually one day just like that, they were gone.

A week or so after OWS started I was visiting NYC and we ended up at Zuccotti Park where it all started. I think there were more people selling pins, buttons, and various arts and crafts than there were actual protesters. I remember my FIL asking each one if they were trying to supplement a living or if they were purely a for-profit capitalist venture taking advantage of an opportunity at an anti-capitalist protest. I just couldn't stop laughing. He was serious.

Went to a wedding in Tulsa a few months in the whole OWS movement and their main park had an encampment of tents with signs but didn't see any activity.

The big thing I noticed was there was virtually no people of color present, no organization, was a gathering of almost entirely white (mostly young) Leftists, that like usual, failed to cobble together a coalition from other demographics and really just seemed like a spectacle.

Whenever I hear my wife scream, I know it's another house centipede I need to trap and throw outside (or smash and kill if I'm pressed on time)

My wife works in a large suburban office park off a major highway. The company designs hardware so obviously they have people in the workshop on-site etc, but you could remove three of their office buildings and keep those people at home. She also flies out from the east coast to the west coast twice a year just to sit in a conference room for two days straight.. it's like no one has ever heard of Zoom.

I've been working from home for nearly a decade and a half now. It has enabled me to keep my job after moving halfway across the country. I have dinner ready when the wife and kids get home, the laundry done, and can go for a jog at the local park for a few laps when I want to and yet I still get shit done and do a great job.

It just absolutely baffles me that CEOs aren't chomping at the bit to downsize their office space footprints, get off those leases or sell off their properties, and let everyone work from home.

We bought a modest playset in the backyard. It cost a lot but the value of having kids play outside when we can't orchestrate a trip to the park yet keep them away from screens while we can get stuff done around the house is priceless

Wife and I bought a Peloton. It works well, we love it. I'm going to cancel the subscription and just use the damn thing without attending the classes etc like an old school stationary bike.

Sucks bc I enjoy a couple of the classes but this is BS

Thanks for the responses everyone. I will talk to a doctor very soon.

Is that a massive dildo in the background?

I've done this for so long I might just be like that old Cobol programmer in need during Y2K at some point.

One less Trump voter. Put the guillotine on PPV to subsidize M4A.

Canceled Prime and Kindle Unlimited, I'm off the Amazon pill

I ordered Chipotle for delivery and I got the wrong order. I don't eat meat so it's not like I could just say whelp, I'm eating this chicken today I guess.

The only way to report an issue is to chat with their bot. And it is hell. I finally got a voucher for a free entree but what about the delivery fee and the tip back? Impossible.

I felt like Sisyphus.

I waited for the transaction to post and disputed the charge on my card and it credited me back.

There's so many if-and-or-else scenarios that no amount of scraping the world's libraries is AI today able to sort out these scenarios.

Bootlicker

I'm so relieved the comments validated what I thought this was about, and I'm not alone :)

I really wish my wife would let me cancel this.

I was just today trying FF again and discovered vertical tabs was via extension only and holy shit disabling the tabs up top looked like a bit of work. Native vertical tabs and grouping and I'm back. It should just copy the layout that Edge does.

I had this on the 5 1/4" disk. The kind that actually was floppy.

My daughter is almost 3! Little man just turned 6. They love it. Never thought I'd be that guy with something like that in the backyard but now I understand.

We had the knob but it broke off. So we had a pair of pliers sitting on top of the TV to turn the dial (from 2 through 13).

My friends weren't as poor so they'd have a converter box. It had an actual remote and that sound it made as it flipped through all the channels. I can't even describe the sound but if you know, you know it.
