But who's committing these crimes, and why so much senseless violence?

I genuinely don’t care about pretty much every other piece of drama related to X but I won’t be giving any social media or my government issued ID that won’t be happening.

When they told me I won’t be able to protect my ip address by asserting I was no longer allowed to have a vpn I quit Netflix

I mean ok but the fact that your car is spying on you has to break a thousand big tech nda’s

This is disappointing to hear

Go be a shepherd and encourage people to move elsewhere

Likely because Usenet still works and so does xdcc via irc.

I don’t see any reason in 2023 to replace my iPhone 12

I would imagine this is the same with bans I imagine there will be a future reputation watchdog set of servers which might be used over this whole everyone follows the same modlog. The concept of trust everyone out of the gate seems a little naive

Do they not comprehend the irony of this? "It is time for communities to break free of walled gardens and take ownership of their existence online. Imagine a crypto future"

I don’t think I cared about Twitter, the entire duration of its existence, and now there’s a whole new thing that’s apparently the same and I still don’t care about

Likely Spez’s personal jailbait collection

This is a very extraordinarily half-baked idea at best. I think that it shows promise, but the concept of centralizing all of the possible income for artists who are known to be very expressive about their views, political or otherwise, and not always pro government narrative. Seems like a very bad idea to say the least.

It’s just morally rough that they basically said they don’t get anything of benefit from contributing to open source despite really owing their start to it

Bigots and manipulating sociopaths have a difficult time reconciling that they’re terrible people.

Not only was it hard to get the subscription, but it was hard to get it in your country if you weren’t US

As I keep saying everywhere else the admins of the various instances are likely going to have to abide by the laws of their land. If you don’t like that instance move on

I had someone explain to me how it really isn't a privacy concern to use usenet but financially it does feel like a bit of a bamboozle but you have to realize that usenet often will max out your download speed which is pretty nice and it has some magic that prevents people from knowing what you're trying to access so it's likely worth the like $10/mo

These services really seem to want me to uninstall them

Yeah but they’re really only good for single purpose things I keep killing sd cards trying to do more.

I usually assume that if I don’t find it in under ten minutes it doesn’t exist.

Just setup a wireguard system that’s pretty bulletproof

Just remember that this is no longer Reddit and you're likely welcomed to post links to things for other Lemmy users to find.

I mean discourse exists now

What they do is they monitor the ownership of blocks of ip addresses they call it autonomous systems numbers or ASN’s it’s basically the way that farms of servers claim ownership of ip addresses

You’ve gone overboard when you’ve had experience with most of the software on the awesome self hosting lists

Why one silo to a worse one

Motivation is a luxury

Everything is you just must first learn docker

Try harder.

But no actually try a different vpn on a port like https or something up like a Skype call port

Old boy the original

I download as much as the next person but is it not more about the artists team getting paid?

It seems all the software versions I'm looking for have dead or paywalled links. The only thing worse than paying full price is paying for cracked software that might be riddled with backdoors and not have a warranty or anything.

You have to remember that these are people that left Reddit, which was notorious for a self reinforcing echo chamber they are about to be rudely awakened by the harsh reality of freedom of speech. People are either going to buy their bullshit or leave no amount of whining about it. On our end. It is really gonna fix it.

Curate your feed better.

So they’re scanning destinations. If they look like a vpn then they squash you. Very ccp of them

I don't
