I did not switch from Reddit, but Lemmy really amplifies any niches that are on here to the point of extremism. It also mostly consists of nerds. Would love to see more diverse and open crowd on here.

Get some robots. Big marketing thing and another point of fun and learning. And the results are visible IRL.

I have to say it, Rufus.

Depends if I find the company that made that media ethical. I would be happy to pirate Autodesk, Adobe, EA etc. Just because they are predatory and unethical. I also "pirate" music (adblock on youtube) since recording labels are shit. Also I watch youtube with no ads, since I do not support Google. I do pay for Nebula though, since a lot of creators I like are there and the company is fair.

Other than some autostart apps, you are free to do whatever you want. I actually like having at least 2 DEs, one generic with default settings and one customized for everyday use. Also, they should use different backends. Then if I completely mess up with my config, I've got a fallback.

Better off with Godot

Do you have a moment to talk about our God and saviour, Gentoo Linux? /S

That is exactly me, lol. I came on lemmy before all the reddit&twitter dramas, as an alternative to hackernews, that is a bit more diverse. Cool to see it grow a bunch, but we are kind of a pain to deal with.

You can also use that to separate spying websites. Eg. Any site with Facebook integration will think you are logged out, but when you go to facebook.com, it's open in a different container where you are in fact logged in, cuttin on Facebook spying on third party websites.

Cause O1 and O3 are not good for breathing.

Chameleon, great privacy tool, but can break some crappy sites, unless you can configure it so it doesn't. ScrollAnywhere, a mobile like scrolling with middle mouse button. I find it more efficient and intuitive. Ublock ofc (Forgot name), an addon that lets you skip link shorteners with ads.

Nope. You can have multiple enabled at once. Switching the default profile will require restart. You can also make shortcuts to open specific profiles.

Well yea, I was 9 when I started programming in Batch, but it is not really suited for every kid. Most kids aren't nerds. Some may have problem reading and formatting code correctly, let alone understanding anything not seen before. Scratch mostly takes care of that.

Have you heard of Gentoo? /sarcasm

Barotrauma is source available (no commercial, public use, restricted for game modding and contributions) Librerama is dumbways to die style minigames

Yea, but you can't read news, cause they want to remove scrapers, you can't watch youtube, since they want to block downloaders etc etc. It's a procentage game. If enough of people won't have the DRM enabled, it won't be worth for websites to use it. Not implementing it yet, means that firefox won't be contributing to the amount of users, but if high enough procentage of websites starts using it, firefox will be forced to implement this DRM or they will be killed off by browsers that support all the websites you want to browse.

That is very anti social behavior.

That's totalitarism

It's ok to feel uncomfortable and it's your right to talk with her and explain how you feel. In my opinion, she should be free to wear whatever she wants, when it doesn't bother others, but since she is not alone it's understandable that there should be some compromise.

Zapierdol these jebane kurwy please.

I pay a regular hosting provider with nextcloud ""app"" installed, then attach storj for free 100gigs.

Alternative to lively, screen play

You can use ferdium for that. I also made a profile, that has hidden all possible buttons and I made links to open website in that cut down profile. You can also use user.js to make it really slick.

I do everything in my head. I write only the outcomes of parts of my calculations, to not forget them or do errors.

It does apply to a lot of other disorders and illnesses.

Ventoy is easy, but not perfect. I tried multum of unique images and it struggled hard. From openwrt to freedos to reboot of Hiren's boot cd, it just couldn't load them correctly.

I've tried, but I've got lost quite fast.

Oh, I didn't know that, but still, I don't expect to be truly universal. But as long as you are dealing with ISOs of LX server/desktop or WIN, it's an amazing tool.

You can check my hosting out at sldc.eu They are really cheap, but I am not sure how you would buy hosting if you are not Polish. Also don't expect superb tech support. It's practically call line only.

So, I pay a company for a website hosting with PHP and they have an autoinstaller of Nextcloud. After installing it, you can go into settings, add a S3 bucket you can get with free Storj account.

Well, there is an option of using multiple partitions and setting up grub

Also never buy HP or Canon. Their printers are designed to fail and extract money out of you. Better get Epson or Brother(best ecotank) or just get a laser one.

In Poland there are quite popular Proton bots. You probably can find them across Europe.

Well, user agent switch, will switch your user agent, but that is not the answer ponly feature of chameleon. It sets your referer pcolicy, cookie policy, spoofs some data and restricts certain APIs etc. Other addons I use as well would be audio equalizer, which allows me to change volume more precisely and ofc eq my sound. To that also screwmycode.in which changes the pitch together with speed, so you can make nightcore music easily and eq some bass back into it with the previous addon.

Nobody can forget amazing conteiners addons, like temporary containers, multi account containers and facebook container. They can revolutionise your workflow.

Other then addons, you can also set up profiles, to which you can create shortcuts, which is cumbersome, but works really well.

Also, firefox has a nice amount of CSS themes to apply onto it, making it look like a completely different browser.

Go and drink some water.

Really? I never knew it could limit speed

Ferdium is based on electron. But it actually uses it to render websites. It's slick and handy. When talking about profiles, I mean in Firefox, which will grand you all the protections you need. If you need to add addons or change settings, with the user.js config, you will need to type about:setthings or about:addons rathet then cluck on a few buttons, but if all you use it for is just a few sites working in a single window, it's fine.
