Poor frogs...

Again, the CEO is not paid by the mozilla donations. She's paid fully by Mozilla Corp which does not get donations. Please don't spread misinformation.

I'm surprised Valve hasn't pushed a condition about this in their contracts stating that they can get a Verified badge only if they agree to keep the Steamdeck as a supported platform.

A bit late though. When it came out, I would have liked to buy it and play with friends. Now everyone moved on to other games.

I enjoyed playing TFT but this whole thing made me ditch LoL altogether some months ago. And cheaters on LoL are so rare...

A very French joke: We used to use their email client and send to the whole team "Hey, I feel generous so tomorrow morning I will bring croissants for everyone. Look forward to it!"

The person would get plenty of "thank you" emails in reply and discover the trick. It was a small office so usually the person would bring the pastries. Yum!

Probably not the goal of the author but I guess this article convinced me that nix/nixOS is not for me.

When I read this kind of stories about game dev where unit tests are very optional, I don’t really regret not working in this industry, especially now with all the layoffs.

Meta believes it will have more clearly and definitively met requirements under a collection of European data laws

Questionable considering that Facebook, Instagram and third parties share user data not only for ad targeting.

To people hesitating, the path is simple and safe:

Create your new email (I'd recommend your own domain but you can also use another provider)

Set up Gmail so that it redirects all mail into your new mailbox.

Start giving your new email and migrate little by little your accounts to the new email.

You will not lose emails sent to your Gmail but you won't use their UI anymore.

At some point, you will realize nothing but spam ends up on your Gmail and you can close it if you want.

And soon they'll be surprised the employees are less and less loyal and blame it on the new generations.

Those games are hardly irrelevant or distant past. I've enjoyed a lot of them in the humble bundles and I still play some others. The fact that he was also porting them to Linux is fantastic.

I still don't understand how a lot of our organs evolved to self repair and generally be so sophisticated but our teeth need so much care to avoid pain and infection.

Always the same thing. Upper management screws up, destroys the trust of the customers. The shares drop, shareholders are not happy. How do you restore share value? Layoff the people who did nothing wrong.

This whole system is rotten to the core.

Oh and I forgot: don't call it layoff, call it reset, pursuit of agility, refocus...

It was already done through genshin impact anti cheat. It will be done in Vangard.

The beautiful thing about public companies capitalism is that it's not people who built it who end up selling it.

No, they haven't deployed the anticheat yet I think

Not only devs, players will most likely also be affected by a malware that will call after install

Oh yeah I read platinum on protondb and thought it was verified, my bad.

I'm pretty sure you can set games as private now, but it sure took them some time.

The header is silly and clickbaity as fuck. If they wanted people to read the article for what it is, maybe they should rethink their practices

Depends also on their definition of cheater. If they count the mindless weak bots that keep playing just to farm currency in non ranked or if they only count serious cheats.

Still, leaving all the responsibility on the user is not a good option. Hosts and developers have a responsibility to protect their users, especially in FOSS and decentralized networks like Mastodon or Lemmy.

Is there no link or am I not seeing it?

This sentence was so used while being wrong because of free software

I'm French and never heard about it from French people. It's always brought up by Americans.

Been playing Tiny Rogues. It's really good on the deck!

Done, thx

I think gnome team said they were experimenting with tiling features. I'm looking forward to checking what they came up with.

You can enable saving the tabs when closing Firefox.

It is on and has been for years but I still lose all my tabs regularly.

Is it because of Sync? Container Tabs? I don't know

If I'm not too mad next time, I will try to find out why I lose them but my instinct is to reopen right away the tabs that I need the most.

Lyne is so good!

I think that's kind of the problem with obtainium. You have to search from GitHub search api so it's easy to install from a malicious fork if you don't pay attention.

You don't have to be exactly on the icon iirc, just on the right most component of the panel.

The biggest problem is the way the money pot is split. Whatever you listen to, your subscription will mostly go to the biggest artists (via their labels indeed who take a good share). This is wrong

No, the extension is needed for this

Do I miss something? I already can do that in the latest fedora natively.
