My current phone still works.

Come on Desantis, no one’s voting for you. Stop being such a tryhard.

While this was a nice gesture, would 101 random weapons bought off equally random Florida Men all at least share the same ammo? A gun’s just an awkward club without proper ammo.

It might help to make it look more intentional, such as a bordered flowerbed with native plants in it that just happens to be the size of most of your front lawn.

McCarthy’s just saying he’ll impeach to get $$$ out of the Trump voters. He knows it won’t pass congress.

Your best bet is to vote with your wallet. Can’t get Willow on Disney+? Then, Disney+ doesn’t get your money. I’ve been buying more physical media and downloading again like I’ve gone back in time 20 years.

Mass transit barely exists in most of America.

If you get a Brother, it’s best to go with laser, as the toner will last ages. If you’re on a budget, the Brother inkejet I have gives zero shits what cartridges I put in there, as long as they’re the right shape. I usually have to clean the contacts on top of the cartridges before inserting like it’s an NES, though.

How is it cheaper to have these kids institutionalized? It’s like $9000/month for a room in a nursing home.

You’re thinking of the tunnel-digging company that bilks investors. This is the one that uses AI to bilk investors.

I can’t wait until Look Mum No Computer turns them into a terrifying musical instrument.

Normally, they’re not fixed. They just let it crash very literally and send up a new one. NASA’s apparently working on repairable satellites.

I wonder if investors and advertisers will also realize this.

The gist of HIPAA is that the patient decides who knows their health status. If they want to announce every rash and sniffle on Meta and thus to every advertiser and government agent in existence, HIPAA won’t stop them.

Doctors are allowed to broadcast their own, personal health issues all over social media, but not anyone else’s.

That’s the SFW internet for you…

Every system I have had had Tetris on it, even my old flip phone. It’s not as good a phone game as you’d think. I still greatly prefer to play it with a proper controller.

That is one relevant username.

It’s not impossible, just inconvenient. Instagram was made to show off pictures, so when you open someone’s Instagram, all you see is a grid of pictures by default. If you want to read the captions and comment, you have to click on a pic and then click on the 💬 to view the comments and add your own. In a world where most places only make you click “send” to comment, it’s slightly more work than most people want for an online discussion.

That might be cruel and unusual punishment.

How do you keep the dog from trying to eat the bees?

I have children in his target audience and still never heard of this guy.

So, just leave it with my kids and dog for 10 minutes?

People who palm a glue stick when they need to prove that keys that are mostly made of brass and nickel will stick to them “like a magnet”.

I think it’s the word “ban” here. When I see ban, I think they’re going to block all of Norway from using Meta. What they’re really doing is making Meta pay a fine for serving overly targeted ads.

I’m for both, by the way. Block Meta and punish them for data hoarding.

I’m not on lemmy.ml, but from what I’ve read, the majority of users there are dead set against any large corporation looking to encroach on the Fediverse. The mods seem to be following the will of the people.

The issue is that large tech companies rarely restrain themselves when there’s a big pile of money to be made. The odds are high that Meta will exploit this whether it was an accident or not.
