One question. If they know those are minors and that they know that the pictures are nudes, why the hell don’t they just ban the accounts that try to send nudes to minors? Also who the hell thinks it is a good idea to send nudes to Meta?

That heavily depends. Brave may have better advice/tracker blocking by default, but they send more telemetry. Them being an advertising company also doesn’t speak for them. Brave is a decent browser and on IOS/IPadOS a good option for open source + Adblock, but max privacy would be reconfigured Firefox or Librewolf.

I think they can’t even sell the cyber truck in Europe

“Bro, I’ll trade your food for this fancy piece of paper”

“What can I do with it”

“Trade it for more food with a bigger fool than you”

“I’m in”

(Not saying that you’re wrong, just your argument is stupid)

I’m no expert, but would CC BY-SA do the trick?

Portugal is the capital of Spain

I’d rather create two RSS feeds over which we would communicate

Yes, but it’s very hard/impossible to verify if something is e2e or just encrypted. Personally I wouldn’t be surprised if meta had access to the encryption keys

Debian is Debian based and regular Mint is Ubuntu LTS based and use theirs respective repos (not a big difference for the average user). While currently the non Debian version is the main and recommended version, due some controversial changes in Ubuntu people want to move away from Ubuntu and the devs have considered making the Debian edition the main one.

What kind of software do you use? I have never needed to install a tarball. Flipping the screen upside down seems like a very easily fixable problem compared to some of the stuff windows throws at you

Sometimes better search results than DDG (but about the same), EU based (France), offers a Openstreetmap based alternative to google maps (opposed to ddg using Apple Maps) and a slightly worse privacy policy are the main differences

What electron Steam games are there? I don’t know about any

KDE Connect can do that

If I understand correctly this is just an extension so I don’t mind. But personally I’d prefer if they worked on their collaboration (Office) rather than some AI stuff

The thing most people get wrong is privacy friendly =! private. If you say something publicly (on the internet) you can assume it will stay for ever, if not directly then via some sort of archive. The privacy part of Lemmy/Mastodon is them not collecting data on what you look at to sell it. If you want something private then don’t use Social Media, because what you say publicly will stay public.

Proprietary app that decrypts all my messages? I’d rather pay for element x

Not really, but there is a fork called tenacity which fixes this

Facebooks monthly active users are pretty stable/have grown in the last years

Privacy, Customization, better for Adblock. Or just to have a alternative if you’re main browser fails

SocCenter sounds like sock center, your application of choice for everything socks

Debian? They have good ARM support (the raspberry pi OS is based on Debian, uses its repos). Definitely also install flatpak. Most, but not all, flatpaks have arm builds.

Isn’t stopping this exact thing their reasoning to why they can read all your messages?

Tenacity is a Audacity fork without telemetry

I worked in a company which ran everything down to MS-DOS

I think the question is made badly. For most distros it comes down to personal preference. You could make a best and worst for each category. For example beginner friendliness: best Mint worst LFS. Distros like Ubuntu with weird stuff going on can still be best for you if it otherwise covers your needs. The worst distro overall is probably some random, no longer supported distro without active repos. The overall best I find is EndeavorOS. It has a good combination of user friendliness and advanced stuff.

To bad it doesn’t stay that way

Because they are sent from minors to minors too?

This could be different depending on the country, but in Germany that would still be illegal. I don’t think a rule like you suggest would ever happen if not forced by law

If they uninstall it there’s still the Microsoft store

Anyone know the title?

Nice try FBI

While it doesn’t use the activity pub it still functions similarly so maybe that’s why it’s listed with the others

Maybe a yt-dlp gui? Parabolic works great and can also use aria2 for speeding up the download

I think the issue people have is that threads is way bigger than all Mastodon instances and that they could having control over Mastodon because of the amount of content coming from threads vs the actual Mastodon instances

Security updates and general support. That’s basically it

Kdenlive has the option to use proxy clips. Makes it way faster. You could also try a other video editor like Shotcut. The DaVinci resolve Deb works best on Ubuntu in my experience. As for a distro Linux mint is a good choice, you could try the XFCE version as it’s more lightweight. If you choose Kdenlive, maybe try the package if you’re using the flatpak or the opposite, as sometimes one of the versions works better

Also Handheld emulation consoles

Libresprite is a Fork that has a flatpak for a precompiled free version

What about GPL?
