That's what you get for electing a corrupt cop as mayor.

Also Adams is yet another example, why having someone from a marginalized group in office does not mean that the represents or even really cares about the needs of that group past his own political advantage.

"why is there surviving witnesses?" unacceptable.

In this case it is worse for Israel as there seems to be a psyops infight between competing branches of the government.

Also lovely way to start a childs life. Instead of being at the chest of its mother, it gets to be with some overworked strangers, not getting breat fed and not feeling the physical closeness necessary to build a healthy sense of security.

There is only two conditions under which this will stop:

  1. Israels supporters stop sending it weapons and pressure it into returning into it's borders, as well as ending it's occupations in Gaza, East Jerusalem and the Westbank.

  2. Israel collapses into a civil war and subsequently as a nation as a result of the rifts over the hostages, the economic situation, the brutallity of the upcoming elites that have learned to murder, rape and plunder with impunity through the lack of accountability ensured by the US, UK, Germany and the like.

The second one is inevitable if the first one is not achieved. But it will go along with even more genocide, ethnic cleansing and brutal violence. But the "supporters" of Israel must make no mistake. Every government, every nation like this will turn in on itself, after running out of "other" people to slaughter and subdue.

Stopping Israel now is the only way to protect its citizens.

It is not just climate protesters getting the brunt. Anyone protesting for human rights, anti discrimination, anti fascism or any progressive cause will get various levels of supression, if not just straight up police violence.

Meanwhile literal Nazis are treated fairly nicely and during Covid the police was beating up permitted protests to make way for non permitted Nazi/Esoteric/Conspiracy protests.

More precisely the Palestinians are illegally occupied and occupied people have a right to defend themselves against the occupation.

I think this has important ramification for all non white Americans. The response to this will show, whether non white people are allowed to demand justice, or whether just asking a court to rule on a case, so the mere access the judicial system, is reserved to white people alone.

It does not matter if the face of an administration or party is black, asian, a woman or of whichever marginalized group. The fundamental question is:

Will people outside the white supremacy be allowed to seek justice from an independent court or not?

It is crucial to understand, that the fight for the environment is an anti-colonial fight. It is the same system of oppression that is murdering activists in South and Central America, protesting illegal mining and logging and that is murdering the people in Gaza for beachfront property and enslaving children in cobalt mines in Congo.

It is the same system of oppression that seeks to take land and resources from any native population they can oppress with violence. These fights are all interconnected and they are fights for the rights of the ordinary people vs. the power of capital and military might, serving the interests of a selected few.

If most counties are like 53-47, 55-45, maybe even 65-35, having one county where it is like 90-10 will be dead obvious manipulation.

"curb" is a bit of a stretch. They merely limited 30 of over 300 arms export licenceses. It is a start, but there is still a long way to go. And every day that goes by wihtout a clomete military and economic exclusion of all illegal israeli activities from its supporters, more people are murdered, more land is stolen, more homes are destroyed, with the complicity of Israels supporters.

The ICJ has concluded in its advisory opinion, that the occupation of Gaza, East jerusalem and the Westbank are all illegal and must end. It is complicity in crime to support these illegal occupations in any way, including by engaging economically with the occupation.

Vittel was like 2€ the litre in Germany before they stopped selling it here. So the fine is just the price of like a million bottles. A modern bottling machine can bottle around 80.000 bottles per hour. I couldn't find the capacity of that plant, but using this as an upper limit, the fine corresponds to about a days worth of bottling.

For comparision, in Berlin Germany there is currently an unnecessary and deeply unpopular inner city highway extension being built. It costs about €300 million per kilometer.

Do we have any source aside from the IDF?

Because already where they were supposedly found is based on what the IDF says. And we know that the IDF has been lying repeatedly throughout this war. We know that IDF soldiers have killed Israeli hostages before. We know about the Hannibal doctrin that dictates the IDF killing their own soldiers to prevent them from being captured alive. And the current political situation in Israel has become extremely critical of the IDFs failures to secure the hostages. So the IDF has an even greater incentive to downplay any possible responsibility.

Until we have the results of a comprehensive investigation by a non IDF party, there is a lot more evidence we need to know before forming a judgement.

You asked, what more evidence would be needed. I laid it out. In regards to "hiding among civillians" i would like to ask you, whether you will apply that same condemnation to IDF, whose Headquarters are in the center of TelAviv https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HaKirya

Yes there is. You need the entire country for national elections and there is one government from one parliament. You might have the same on state level, where interference is easier. But you need thousands of judges in thousands of districts. That will become very easy to interfere with.

But a corrupted muncipal parliament does not have the saem effect, like a corrupted judge, who can let his buddies off free, while imprisoning journalists and other critical dissidents against the cartels.

I hope something comes out of it, although i dont think they will succeed with their demand. Not even the European Broadcasting Union could get itself to kick them out of Eurovision. And that organization is already representing organizations largely composed of journalists, who should have a direct incentive to oppose the murder of journalists.

Judges without elections have a pretty free hand to be racist or misogynist pieces of trash.

So do judges that oppose these. Meanwhile in a racist or misogynist electorate judges will be compelled to cater to those "values"

Meanwhile under US occupation the production had soared to record highs. Just like in the golden triangle, once the US invaded Vietnam.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opium_production_in_Afghanistan

Pretty much they mean "we say sorry if you keep letting us do it".

Now they will know if they can get away with it and subsequently kill more international peace activists to push the remaining ones out, so they can go back to murdering Palestinians without holding back.

I hope for these lawyers to fail in disgrace with their pathetic lies.

It is more "we need to do what the nazis wanted to do, to keep them out. Oh why is this only making them stronger?"

Germany just doubled down on massive anti immigration anti asylum (human right) anti privacy, anti free speech and anti free science and culture plans.

The latest hack is a plan to have scientists and artists analyzed by the interior intelligence to make sure they are not "antisemitic" if they receive government funding.

Meanwhile investments in infrastructure, education and social security are whacked, which drove a lot of people into the risk of poverty with the exploding prices.

The Scholz government does everything they can to help the fascists rise to power.

Bahrain is practically a puppet of Saudi Arabia and Morocco is sucking up to Saudi/US/EU so that they support their illegal occupation and annexation of West-Sahara.

In other words the only Arab voices there were Saudi voices.

In this case it is absolutely crucial, as one of the repeated arguments made by the genocide supporters is "its just war, they try to prevent civillian deaths" or "if it was genocide they would have killed much more people"

These are lies. They are absolutely deliberate in what they do, and the realistic numbers prove that. The numbers of people officially recognised as dead has been rising only slowly since april/may. This is not because the killing and devastation have become less, they got worse. It is because the health system has collapsed after Israel made a point of destroying it.

It is a bit of an oxymoron to "see" a "covert war", isn't it?

I mean i am fully in support of PC gaming and in particular Linux gaming. It is just not as easy to keep upgrading PCs component by component. Eventually there is limits, mostly from the mainboards limits.

First of all its ghoulishly disingenuous for you to conflate providing arms. Which is wrong I’m not justifying that. To actually killing people.

You do know that if you provide a weapon with the knowledge that the person will use it to kill someone, you can get convicted for being an accessory to that murder, which entails the same criminal punishment?

So for normal crime it is absolutely considered to be on the same level

Within limits though. E.g. If your mainboard only supports old CPUs that is a huge limiting factor and we saw MS messing with older CPUs just not being supported at all by Win 11.

Now i made the switch to Linux myself too and i am very happy, but for people who want to start somewhere, maybe starting with their own linux gaming PC is a bit much for the start.

which brings us back to what @Buelldozer@lemmy.today said. I am sure there is a lot of activity of hacking and sabotaging things in Russia, that we simply don't know about it. Western governments have an interest in attributing publicly known sabotages to Russia, to justify spending on countermeasures. Russia does not necessarily have an interest to tell its vulnerabilities to its own people and the Western government don't necessarily have an interest in going public about their activities in Russia or about sabotages that did not go public.

Note that whenever you hear about a hack or sabotage action being publicized, it is done so deliberately with a strategy. So in turn also don't expect that we get to know the full extent of Russian hacking and sabotaging.

Finally don't expect that every attack that is attributed to some actor, actually was committed by that actor. If you want a glaring example of that remember how the Iraq invasion was sold as a response to 9/11 despite the attackers coming from Saudi Arabia.

The factor is derived from extensive analysis and sound research. and the factor 5 is on the low end. The spread easily goes up to 10 indirect deaths per recorded death. And that is with there being some sort of infrastructure left. Israel deliberately annihilated all of it and continues to do so.

To show you how silly your argument is. "it is just multiplication by some factor" is also applied to gravitational force and many other physical phenomenon.

I think it is important to remember, that the US tried to stage a Coup in Venezuela in 2020. And given the many Coups of the US in South- and Central-America, it is natural for the opponents of the US to also oppose any US backed politician in the region, irrespective of who actually won the elections. This does not excuse Maduro, but the US directly meddling in South-America and Central-America is alive and well as it ever was.

IDF soldiers have been seen pulling small levers on handheld devices.

Eygi fell to the ground with blood coming out of her head around the same time.

That is not what i wanted to say with that. My point is that nobody of the external powers has any interest in Democracy. If the results of an election align with their interests, they are fine with it, but otherwise they'll meddle.

That currency conversion makes what they can spare a good amount of money for their family abroad does not mean that their quality of life has improved.

The IEA and everybody else involved in the oversight disagrees.

Also "Iran is one year from developing a nuke" was the go to scare headline for like the past decade.

2 more...

This is just nonsense, i am sorry. 15 years is a long time. The goal was to establish diplomatic ties with Iran again. Instead the US pushed for military hostility. Also it is cynical to demand Iran to have no missiles while the US is stationing missiles in bases and ships in the region.

Also aside from the death camps the Nazis ran executions squads, just lining up and shooting all the villagers once they captured a village.

There is absolutely no question about the Nazis intention of murdering people they thought to be inferior or inconvenient.

So who is bypassing congress to deliver bombs to Israel? Is it Trump? I thought Joe Biden is the current president. And Biden kept pushing the fact that he is a staunch Zionist. Also Harris kept talking about supporting Israel, providing a stage for families of Israeli hostages, while denying any Palestinian to speak on stage at the DNC congress.

However your immediate attack shows exactly the problem. When people have the wrong skin colour or are in the wrong place, American culture is fine with denying them their humanity and human rights. And that is across the political spectrum as you are showing with your comment.

I doubt that they care much.

Trump broke the JCPOA and sanctioned Iran randomly. Then after a brief time of lip services from the European countries they also fell in line with Trump to sanction Iran. Biden was happy to continue Trumps policy.
Instead of stabilizing the region and opening Iran to the West, which was probably Obamas greatest diplomatic achievement, they doubled down on pushing Iran to China and Russia.

Iran was heavily sanctioned before. They didn't budge, because they know the US to be lying traitors and the Europeans to just do the bidding of the US. Adding more sanctions on top now will not change that.

Unless the US and Europeans develop some resemblance of political quality of the Obama administration, there is no reason for Tehran to listen to either of them.
