ABSOLUTELY NOT Don't let anybody tell you otherwise. It is and should be employers job to pay their workers a living wage in a rich country not the buyers.

Culturally, there will be people who will look down on or say nasty things to you if they find out you do not/did not tip. This happened to me. Some of the nasty comments (these are not said by the employees) people say are "The employees will remember this and may spit in your food or tamper with it in some way next time you order, which has got to be illegal for health code reasons for employees to do and is guilt tripping on the person who says this comment. Not only that, but those who say such awful things are continuing the nasty treatment of employees by the ruling class by saying such nasty remarks.

Nobody should be put through that. Employers should pay you and everyone a living wage. Work should, seriously not be needed for survival in my eyes, but something that is done, purely for passion or fun. Our society should set goals to push to eliminate capitalism as long term goal and in shorter term work to end systemic issues such as what you described how you were treated badly, how other workers are treated badly, how peoples lives are ruined when they lose their jobs. I'm on your side on improving this.

Thankfully the instance I'm on doesn't have downvotes. I find what leads to toxic communities is when admins don't remove toxic content or users.

If I have a partner to travel with me, I can sleep by holding their hand and leaning on them or by laying on their lap.

I have also slept on semi-strangers lap once.... I'll give some context... We all were apart of an event ... Staff all knew who everyone was, so there was some implicit trust amongst us peers. As a result, I figured I'd ask this one person I was sitting with to hold their hand. The person later asked if I was tired & invited me to lay on their lap, so I could sleep. In any other travel, asking strangers to do such thing could have larger risks obviously.

I used to goto cartoon websites and play unallowed computer games, nothing inappropriate, just spongbob stuff, which got me permanently banned from watching spongbob at home.

The school would keep using Internet Explore 6, I'd update it to iE 8. They didn't like that.

I'd also would install some toolbars, there was this one yahoo one, that added tabbed browsing to iE6. :)

Updating to iE8 on only one older computer caused problems, but the newer machines worked fine with iE8. ;)

I would install Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome and Apple's Safari for Windows web browsers. I enjoyed testing and find the best browsers back then.... Staff weren't to happy though.

I'd change desktop wallpaper to windows XP's Bliss, instead of the schools preset solid colour background.

As i got older, I learned how to write batch and vbs scripts to automate different things, so i wrote a tool to automatically login to some of my required school accounts, without me needing to manually type in my login credentials each time. Staff either didn't know or didn't mind this.

It's worse after you vent to someone and they give you it. Especially when it was unwanted.

More active here, i never got onto the idea of reddit, always made me uncomfortable for some reason.

I did use 3rd party apps like slide or infinity to read reddit posts and follow sibreddits i liked.

Sure there's a better way that can't be easily bypassed... Idk allowlist maybe of all known safe domains, any new sites, must register for dns at the government instead of through a private org.

Another solution allowlist all know webhost who will regularly perform audits of the sites they host for illegal content and remove + report to french authorities. At least these would be better than this easily bypassed "solution"..
