Where the art 'zines at?

Divinity: Original Sin 2? I suppose it looks a little bit gorey too, but nowhere near that high definition. Definitely no squirmers...

I would at the very least break their fingers if they touch my keyboard.

No hammer needed...

It's the ol' "Valve can't count to three" meme

Because I have no other viable option.

Yesterday was the first time I got the survey on my Deck.

I got it on the desktop (as I often am during the day because I do all my work on it), and noticed that while it reported the device as Valve manufactured and the OS correctly, a whole bunch of other data was wrong, like it said the device didn't support touch, etc.

Should I have taken the survey on Game Mode? Is it even possible to get the survey in Game Mode?

Valve does a relatively good job with regional pricing. But after last year's readjustments price in India is at the very least 50% more expensive than it used to be.

No, our economy didn't improve to warrant this change, it's in fact tabled heavily, and disposable income has also shrunk but a lot. It'll get a lot worse too, as our policies become worse and worse.

There are other countries in similar situations where the prices were adjusted to be cheaper, but not in India, sadly.

So while Valve usually does a good job, they didn't this time. We can't expect individual developers to manually keep track of global economies and set their own prices, so it's very understandable for then to just say they trust Valve for this. I just hope more of them realize that Valve is not perfect in how they go about it.

The fix I wanted the most from the 3.5 changelog: charge LED staying off when done charging πŸ™Œ

I've uninstalled every kernel to free to space more than once...

I was kinda warming up to the totally unintended slightly inconsistent mineral based naming scheme tbh. But then, hadn't fully...

Could it be that Android is closing Firefox in the background like it often does?

I've been using it as my main (and only) machine for the whole year. Work included (dev, illustration, graphic design, cgi)

And here I thought it was federated. An easy mistake to make I suppose...

Why would anyone do this to themselves. Even Mac people buy custom keyboards themselves for a reason!

That said, I use the Mac "cmd" symbol instead of the "Windows" symbol for my super key (a la Elementary) on my cheap but lovely Keychron K2 Pro. It just looks better 😁!

The sooner the second one comes out the better. Won't have to worry about further repeats...

@metaStatic Are you kidding, after the D&D OGL fiasco I totally believe WotC would do that.

Dwarf Fortress.

Rimworld is also great, but I like building in 3D.

I still haven't finished Bastion because I didn't want to break the loop.

I still haven't finished Planescape: Torment despite playing it over many years because I had too much fun reloading and exploring parallel branches.

Skyrim, Limbo, Stardew Valley.

@CuriousALot @isdfoa

The reason is that the web manifest has an unnecessary orientation property. A very easy fix. Please go thumbs up this issue and the fix PR so maybe Earnest notices it and we can get back to bedtime threadsurfing sooner 🌝

Probably wouldn't've thought that when it came out, but I kinda really like OS/2 as a name. Had a very Serial Experiments Lain ring to it.

...Certainly a lot cooler than OSX.

Did you happen to notice if yours also said touch support: none?

Most importantly, I find, it let's us turn off mentions on replies by default.

Bazzite! Especially if you don't want to tinker with the system too much.

Edit: regarding security/stability; Bazzite is an unofficial member of the Fedora Immutable (erstwhile Silverblue) family. It stays in lockstep with their release cycle and the RPM OStree, so the actual "system" part is pretty much the same.

@RodPhoto Hopefully we get this fixed soon, it's just a one line change🀞

:Nervously raised hand: SteamOS 3.5...?

@mr47 This issue is browser engine specific rather than device specific, and (annoyingly) falls within valid interpretation of the web manifest standards so it's not really a bug for the browser engines either. The fix is also within the standards, so that's good.

I get this a lot in my Steam Deck (desktop mode). But the most infuriating thing of all is when a podcast I already finished starts from the beginning after a wake the device up.

Bismuth is better for those of us who want dynamic tiling.

Unfortunately, the developer no longer wants to maintain it, and while it's still working through KDE gaining a tiling API (that doesn't do anything dynamically, also what Polonium uses) for the most part, who knows how long it'll last...

@mrsgreenpotato

It's not keeping me away, I play both games. I just enjoy the building and world generation a lot more in Dwarf Fortress, and Rimworld for in-game pawn shenanigans

I have used Nix in Ubuntu before. It worked well enough. But as a concept NixOS makes more sense than just installing some of my packages with Nix.

@pineapplelover Which way though? Increase or decrease?

"Build making" roguelites like Hades etc. These days I've been playing far too much Magicraft while trying to keep sane.

camelCase or Pascal...

If an APU counts, pretty much everything these days. The Steam Deck, even with its now "old" APU just keeps on steaming ahead!

Caveats: HD or lower. Sometimes at 30fps for big fancy AAA games.

Still isn't sold anywhere near India. Thankfully, a friend graciously volunteered to buy me one, Valve has SO MUCH meeting to do smh

I'm going to assume all these syntax highlighted HTML embeds are from Lemmy users. Sadly, illegible on Kbin.

I want everything about this

I'm thoroughly addicted to the demo, still. Was kinda hoping it was a tiny bit cheaper...

@BiggestBulb

From what I can tell, Kbin recently got PWA support and some people have already installed it. But with the Cloudflare setup alongside federation this too broke, and now the manifest does not work correctly.

Waiting out a few weeks before badgering anyone about it myself 🌝

Edit: the PWA is working again!
