Maybe the internet has shown us people that were already dumb but we just didn't have a way of knowing they exist?
Steam Deck is pretty awesome in the offline gaming regard, if that's what you might be looking for.
Almost got a heart attack when I read that they made a subscription service.
Also Apple's anti-consumer decisions usually transfer to other places (such as Android) aswell, because they have a lot of influence on the rest of the market.

TBH I didn't even notice that I was using DDG when switching to librewolf other than the icon on the top bar. I have found everything I have needed, though I usually use "site:lemmy.world" (for example) anyways.

Especially on the steam deck, if you put it back together, the buttons won't feel the same, because it needs a specific screw tightness which is not written anywhere.
Lawnchair also works, if you want the stock android look
At least you can run the games in offline, even when you have to log in the first time.

I think it has better customization than librewolf and (beta iirc) integration with tree style tabs and vertical tabs. Although I haven't used it for long (2-3 months) the experience has been great. It has been my recommendation for anyone coming from Chrome.

Adam Ragusea's Podcast is pretty informative, though I think it's mainly focused on food topics.
My philosphy is that if the game doesn't run on Linux, it isn't worth playing, because most games do work, and the ones that don't, are usually because the Anti-Virus the game uses. Which in EAC case, to enable playing on linux is just a button click (iirc).
