"I'm pro life"

Oh cool, so you voted for and support better healthcare? Better pay for teachers? Allotting more tax money to support schools? An increase in WIC? Maternity leave? Paternity leave? Foster system funding? School lunch programs? Childcare/daycare programs? More funding for women's health centers that provide STI testing and contraception? An increase to Medicaid's asset limit of $2k that hasn't changed since 1974? Mental health programs? An increase in SSI for disabled children/parents because no one can survive off $10.9k/year anymore?

No?!? Then shut up, you're pro forced birth, not pro life.

So basically they found an abandoned newborn baby in an airport trashcan, and decided they needed to check the vaginal areas of all the women, to see which woman had recently given birth?!? Have they never heard of stretch marks? What the actual fuck.

Furries. They're some of the nicest people ever. I'm a cosplayer and our worlds intersect a lot. They raise more money for charity than any group as small as they are, they're kind and accepting, and they're wicked talented. I trust Furries before muggles anyday

I love stuff like this. Here are some real dinosaur/extinct creature names!

  • Sauroniops: Literally means Eye of Sauron

  • Dracorex Hogwartsia: Dragon King of Hogwarts

  • Thanos Simonattoi: after Thanos

  • Irritator Challengeri: he was hard to dig up and scientists were angry

  • Gasosaurus: discovered while a gas company was being built.

  • Gojirasaurus: self explanatory

  • Attenborosaurus: plesiosaurus named after David Attenborough.

  • Crichtonosaurus: similar to an ankylo and named after author of Jurassic Park

  • Bambiraptor sounds cute, and it's named after the deer (because it was deer sized), but it was a fierce and deadly creature.

There's so many more; I could nerd out forever. I miss when I was a little girl, and people would actually talk to me about dinosaurs...

The county coroner is an ELECTED position.

I'm a mortician who's worked substantially with autopsies. To be the county coroner, you do not need a degree, you do not need experience in mortuary science, postmortem science, forensics, pathology, NOTHING. All you need to be the county coroner, is to be popular.

Meanwhile, funeral directors in the USA need to go through years of college and continuing education, because we're literally the last line of defense when coroners/doctors screw up. I've caught dozens of mistakes the coroner has made and I'm sick of it. The most recently was a shaken and bruised baby having cause of death listed as SIDS.

I no longer blindly trust autopsies for accurate cause of death. If the mortician needs 4 years of medical school, the freaking county coroner would should be required for at LEAST that to be elected.

And yet disability is at a whopping $914/month federally and you can't have more than $2k in your bank or they take away your food stamps and healthcare... a number that hasn't changed since 1974 and would be $13k if adjusted for inflation. I didn't choose to be disabled. I paid my taxes when I could work, to prevent suffering; but I'm now living with a family member and selling nudes to afford the rent, bills, vehicle costs, insurance costs, prescriptions that aren't covered, service dog expenses, etc.

It's crazy that people keep saying she prosecuted thousands upon thousands of black individuals with Marijuana charges. I swear people don't know how to Google and find out that she oversaw 1900 cases, (which was a total for her AND those under her) but only 45 went to prison for it... and those were extreme cases. I've used the LetMeGoogleThatForYou site more than I'd like to admit.

I have a postmortem science degree, but hobby in studying paleontology/pre-history. It took a rise of only 10°C and excess pollution to wipe out over 83% of all life on the planet between the Permian and Triassic eras. Entire chains of life just wiped out. Carbon dating, sediment layer study, fossil records, they all show how screwed me are if we keep this up. The earth will survive, it always does, but it took 30 million years before life recovered.

Humans need to learn from the past, see the consequences of what most would think is a small change, but the ones in power don't seem to give a shit.

Disability (which I paid taxes for, to protect me from poverty if I became disabled) pays a whopping $914/MONTH.

I sell nudes to afford basic necessities.

They also have an asset cap of $2,000 which hasn't changed since 1974. Basically, if I have more than $2k in my bank (or in any valuables like comics or coins) at any time, they take away my food and Medical insurance. If adjusted for inflation, it would be $13k. I'm drowning and lucky I'm an attractive girl, otherwise I couldn't afford to survive.

Thank you for making this more understandable. It really feels like a "the people who pay us more will have a louder voice" and I am grossed out, if that's the case.

There are a lot of cosplay elitists, that think you need to be a supermodel or look exactly like the character to cosplay them. Bruh, this is about creating art of our favorite Fandoms. I'm allowed to make sexy versions of characters, people are allowed to cosplay characters of different ethnicities as long as there's no blackface, people can make costumes of anyone, even if they don't know every bit of info from the source material. Let people have fun... this isn't about you and all your gatekeeping is doing, is stopping you from having awesome and talented friends.

I'm a girl who likes comics. Do it. If you can find a nerdy shop with snacks, even better. Ask her about her favorite characters and have her pick out one for you to read, if you don't know it. That would be an awesome green flag for me. Be careful not to get too serious/gate-keepy, though. An open mind is the best way to approach this.

This is what I want science to work on! I don't care about the next smartphone or brain microchips; help pets live a longer, happier life!

Going for a topless walk on the beach at night! It's the only time I'd feel safe enough to. I've been sexually harassed and assaulted enough, starting back when I was a little girl, to know I could never do that normally.

I'm so glad I got my tubes removed when I did, because there's a long waitlist now. My sister just gave birth and had severe complications ... I cannot imagine if we had lost her over a law like this. It sounds harsh, but you can always make another baby if the uterus is saved (or adopt one of the hundreds of thousands of orphans in the USA).

I do cosplay erotica for a living. I make awesome costumes, I take them off, and just post to Patreon. I suppose it's kindof retail, as I'm giving the photos to people, as a reward for subscribing, but I set my own schedule and choose what goes out. The freedom is incredible

Back incollege, I was a waitress at an Italian restaurant. A lady came in ordered a dish with lots of tomato in it, then demanded I tell the chef she was allergic to MSG, in an accusatory way. What she didn't know is that I was going to school for a medical based degree, and recently had a professor go off about how MSG is in tons of foods naturally and not to believe the craze about it being bad for you.

"Oh my gosh! You're allergic to MSG!?! I'm sorry, but all tomatoes contain MSG. Please choose another dish" ... "I'm sorry, ma'am but mushrooms have MSG in them too. I'll talk to my chef and see what suggestions he might have."

She changed her tone "I'm not allergic, I just don't want it added... it's bad for you... blah blah"

I didn't get tipped, but it was hella satisfying to passive- aggressively educate her.

Sewing machines. I'm a professional cosplayer and sewing/embroidering is a big part of that. My newest machine is from 2008. After that, they started adding in all these different electronic features, that are garbage. The machines both break easily and are limited to the technology/software of that time. You want a machine that can sew through leather and silk with the same grace, get an older machine. If you want something newer, avoid electronics or anything with a touchscreen.

My Husqvarna Viking Emerald 118 is so strong that when sewing corsets, my needle commonly punches through the thick ZipTies, that I use for boning, like they were butter. It's a beast of a machine. If she ever breaks, I'm going to find a used one.

Let them try .. I'm a cancer survivor with a compromised immune system. They can fuck right off and I'll be filing an ADA complaint.

I am a G or H and honestly, they're so big that I choke anyone who tries to use them as a pillow.

At first I thought you were asking if I've used them as a pillow for myself, and I have, as a chin pillow. Isn't comfy at all, though 😅

We learned it in forensics and reconstructive cosmetology. The shape of the skull can often be used to determine race. I loathed having to list out the scientific names, because they're not words you say nowadays.

Yet disability pays $11k a YEAR that'sthe same as $5.42/hour.

I'm immunocompromised and still mask indoors. I haven't been sick at all since 2020 and it's awesome! Between 40-60% of people have some form of permanent brain damage and 70-80% have long covid problems from Covid. The damage to the body compounds every time a person gest re-infected, so the numbers are terrifyingly high.

I have a postmortem science degree and it required 4 years of pre-med/pathology. With all that and what we know about the virus, I am honestly not sure I'll stop wearing a mask indoors until we find a cure or better vaccine. I can't stand that politicians are trying to ban masks, essentially sacrificing the elderly, disabled, and ill. A government making medical decisions, creating an environment where a person can't mask up, regardless of if they have cancer and want to stay safe; or if they're severely sick with something else but need to pick up medication at a pharmacy... it's dark. It's fucked up

My bigger concern is that almost every company now has it in their contracts/terms of services, that all users are not allowed to participate in a lawsuit, be it class action, or court case against them Most of them even have a maximum sue limit too! There's a lot that have a rule that initial arbitration cannot have a lawyer, but that won't be enforced.

Finally! Finally they're trying to take the bullets out of the gun instead of trying to make a stronger bulletproof vest. I feel cautiously optimistic!

I'm a bit jealous that there's no side effects, though. Depo made me gain 30lbs in ONE month. I'm lucky it made my tits significantly bigger (Went from a B to a DD), but that was not a fun experience.

This is hard if you have to see doctors. They like to call from different variations of their numbers.

I'm so glad that someone leaked that Roe v. Wade was getting overturned. I scheduled my sterilization and I'm so so happy. There is still a LONG waitlist to get sterilized.

No babies, no periods, no cramps, no mood swings, life is good. (Bilateral Salpingectomy and Endometrial Ablation are an awesome combo)

I do research and writing for a crime docuseries, and the amount of times sex workers go missing and cops/news don't care until there's multiple bodies or a more well known disappearance occurs, is DISGUSTING.

The Poughkeepsie Killer was killing sex workers in broad daylight and was keeping their corpses in his hoarder house attic. The families of Wendy Meyers and Gina Barone went to the press and were told that the cases "weren't the kind the public cared about".

Police had the suspect but didn't pursue the case until 5 women went missing. Why do their lives matter less just because they do a different kind of physical labor for work? Each was someone's daughter.

Cosplay and dinosaurs/prehistoric reptiles. I'm the girl that attends anime conventions in handmade, intricate costumes; then go to a fossil and gem and point out which mosasaur jaws, trilobites, and shark teeth are fake. Here's a silly collage combining the two. Dr. Sattler and 'Dog'ter Grant. That's my medical alert dog.

Pansexual woman chiming in; boobs are distractingly wonderful!. I'm more of a butt girl, but always appreciate nice boobs 😅

Being a dominatrix, might help though. Nipple clamps, biting them, teasing them; it all adds to my pleasure.

In New Zealand, you can see them in sanctuaries! They're huge and look they're wearing MC Hammer pants as they run around. So freaking cute. Just don't make the mistake I did. The birds are Kiwi, the fruit is called kiwifruit. If you say you want to eat a Kiwi from New Zealand, you'll get treated like you're a psycho, threat, and/or moron.

This makes me happy. Hopefully it'll encourage more people to help with his charity work too.

I've been opting out of every single one, but some companies are assholes and make you send it in through a written letter (Meta) or worse, automatically accept it if you've even just used the app/site/product after they send an email to you regarding changes. The fact that massive corporations also say all matters must be resolved in small claims court and with mandatory arbitration with the company's arbitrator is incredibly illegal sounding. Fuck you AT&T. They were the company who fought for revoking arbitration rights in contracts. The Supreme Court decided it was legal.

Isn't this technically a vaccine? I suppose that's more like Avast for your body

Not OP, but a lot of creatures are more active at night and not being able to see them can be very unnerving; especially if they touch you.

As a kid, we were so poor, it was scary. I remember living in a car, having to choose between going hungry or eating food that was past its prime, and learning Santa wasn't real too young (I couldn't understand why my friends got expensive dream gifts... I thought I had been good)

After going through all that and my mom overdosing, I started collecting things that would accumulate value or were an investment. Comic books and figurines are my go to, but I've also got machines for creating cosplays (as that's my career now). I won't buy anything that I can't pawn off in an emergency to survive, or use it to make money. I really should have been collecting coins/gold/silver, but I picked what was fun.

Also, shoutout to my elementary school's lunch lady, who noticed a tiny, thin girl using the free lunch program, and offered her seconds, after everyone else had been served. I don't think she knows how much she touched my life.

They are. I went through pre-med for my postmortem science degree and am still close with my doctor/dentist friends from the program. They get kickbacks from companies if they successfully sell a brand. Sometimes the results are great, like Wakix (my Narcolepsy medication that actually helped), but other times, it's a garbage product. If the medical professional has a fancy pamphlet or offers you coupons for the product, that means the company is paying them.

Mass extinction events have a cause. The Permian/Triassic one I mentioned, is generally agreed to be from unusual movement of earth's crust, creating severe volcanic activity. The eruptions caused CO2 and pollution, meaning greenhouse gasses built up. The heat shifted water currents and the temperatures, mixed with acid rain, decimated life in the oceans.

Humans are basically the volcanoes in modern times. Yes, the earth goes through normal changes, but these temperatures are increasing at a speed that, to my knowledge, has never happened. There is a way of teaching kids about how long the earth's had life, that visualizes it pretty well. If all of earth's history were to fit on your arm, shoulder to fingertips, if you gently scratched your fingernail on something rough, you'd erase all of humankind. We have barely existed on earth, but are throwing it off balance like never before. (With the exception of the meteor that killed the dinosaurs, but that's a whole other tangent)

Having taken years of pathology/physiology classes, it really feels like the earth is a body, and it's getting a fever to try and deal with an illness... us.

Lmk if you need any sources. I can't exactly copy my books or the ones from my old college's libraries, but there's plenty of studies/resources out there if you're nerdy enough to dig 😊 (fossil pun)!

I was a postmortem scientist for a decade, and have a show called After Death, which focuses on SFX makeup and embalming, based on gruesome ways people have died! It's on a page called Bad Day HQ which focuses on the worst days in history... crime, death, natural disasters, conspiracies, cryptuds, etc. Honestly best side gig ever. I love being teach people about really morbid stuff.

My work. This was shot at the Anatomy of Death Museum in Michigan... And the channel itself. They won Emmy awards back in the 90s/2000s

It has:

  • Mine disasters, where companies shut off oxygen, sacrificing people, so they wouldn't lose profits

  • Deadliest human stampedes, where people were so concerned with getting to events that they trampled, crushed, and suffocated hundreds of people

  • Famines that wiped out large percentages of entire countries, that mirror what's happening right now

  • History behind the Bermuda Triangle and the stories of planes and ships that have vanished there

  • Stories of some of the darkest crimes in history... from serial killers to gruesome, morbid deaths

  • Disasters and crimes that happened On This Day!

I'm really proud and have a plethora of knowledge, so please ask away. Actually ran the Wayne State Funeral History Museum for 3 years 🥰
