The tone and volume of comments has me not wanting to chime in. Though on the fediverse I find I am more comfortable putting my 2c in

The majority didn't move away from twitter either. Some people moved to mastodon, but most either stayed or just straight quit twitter
That said, I Am so much happier here on the fediverse

yup, microsoft has made great strides in creating individual windows instances in the cloud for business purposes. This makes sense to their long term goals to support business. local installations are a different discussion.
