Since I finished Starfield. I've had an itch for more space exploration. I decided to get back into Elite Dangerous. I haven't played it for a good couple years. I bought the latest DLC for it when it was released. I just never got around to playing it. I'm absolutely loving the space legs.

I've been going from system to system. Mapping each planet and moon. Landing on those that I can. Exploring for geological features and biology samples. All while marathoning my favourite YouTube channels.

Happens to me all the damn time.

I just wish I wouldn't waste an hour typing and rewording it before I eventually give up.

That, and the smaller communities that are here tend to be split between multiple instances.

This sounds like a plot straight from Gintama.

People whose first love was Lara Croft on the PSX?

I use "Sleep as Android".

  1. Sleep tracking in an attempt to wake me up 30 minutes before my alarm depending on my sleep cycle.
  2. Smart watch with the same app for increasing the accuracy of sleep tracking by giving access to my pulse.
  3. NFC Tag. Using one of the settings from the same app. I've connected it to an NFC tag in my living room. I can't turn off my alarm unless I scan the NFC tag. Nor can I turn off my phone, snooze the alarm, or lower the volume.

  • To The Moon: Absolutely heart breaking.
  • Tales of Maj'Eyal: An incredible rogue-like with 30+ classes and God knows how many achievements.
  • Cataclysm Dark Days Ahead: Apocalyptic rogue-like. Zombies, bandits, aliens and Lovecraft shit. Want to raid a dojo? Learn Judo from a book and proceed to race around town on a pair of rollerblades practicing on the undead? Feel free.

Even if there was the option to skip. I go through the whole setup each time all the way to finishing it. Yet it still comes up again the next time. It's infuriating.

Not sure what I expected from Microsoft though. I got a 365 subscription about two years ago. OneDrive never worked properly. It wouldn't sync, and the so-called "Personal Vault" would reset itself everyday while keeping the contents. Forcing me to go through the setup whenever I used it. The email though, was by far the worst. About a year ago everyone would start receiving an absolutely insane amount of spam/phishing emails. I was getting around sixty a day. I have no idea what Microsoft did to fuck things up so badly though.

Well necrophilia itself is pretty wrong

The appetizer before the main course.

This type of stuff always reminds me of "Welcome to Nightvale".

In that case remember not to use any plugins, don't change any of the default settings, and run with a 1080p resolution, never maximize the TOR window either. Since even screen size and resolution is used for your fingerprint.

Especially with a decent modpack. Specifically, one that comes with Tinker's Construct.

If ranked competitive sex is a thing, then the number one in the scene must be Lisa Sparks for sleeping with 919 men in one day.

  • Welcome To Nightvale
  • Wolf 359
  • The Adventure Zone

I very quickly learned not to trust the Dark Urge to stop at imagining the act.

I'd love a system like Neverwinter Nights 2 had. Giving us the ability to create custom campaigns.

Honestly, I think if a game was good back then, it's still good now. There's just a bit of an adjustment period.

Are there any types of games you enjoy in particular? Favourite genres and series?

I've been taking my sweet time with Baldur's Gate 3. Getting close to the end at 300 odd hours in.

I'll take a break every so often with Halls of Torment.

Before this I spent the last 5 months playing Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead.

"An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind".

No it doesn't. At most the world no longer has depth perception.

I took all the negative traits but forgot the positive ones.

Out of sight out of mind.

That's my problem. Three screen setup. I have three browser instances open.

Instance 1: YouTube. (Left screen) Instance 2: Gaming wiki's and info for the game I'm currently playing. (Right screen) Instance 3. Online courses and study materials. (Right screen. I swap between instance 2 and 3 based on what in currently doing on my main monitor).

I'll constantly delay or forget to study just because it's not the currently opened in the foreground.

I recall a few games where I've had to limit the processor speed.

The weirdest one was an old adventure point and click. It was either "The 11th Hour" or "The 7th Guest". It had a puzzle where you need to beat the CPU in a board game.

At the time it was released, it was possible. On a modern PC, not so much. The more powerful your processor, the more skilled the CPU was in the board game. Made it impossible.

Same. I wouldn't stop talking during combat so I was typing full sentences in that one second global cooldown.

Placement is key. You want to make sure it's close enough to still wake you, while far enough that you can't turn it off without getting out of bed.

I'd recommend either Tidal or Qobuz. If you end up buying albums instead I would also recommend Roon (not a streaming service).

Literally every couple steps.

Honestly, the only reason I have Netflix in the first place is because it came bundled with my ISP. Can't cancel it without phoning them up and I'm much too lazy to do so.

I just checked the compatibility list for PCSX2.

Baldur's Gate DA1 - https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Baldur-s-Gate-Dark-Alliance-SLUS-20035-U--29280?amp%3Baction=lastpost

Baldur's Gate DA2 - https://forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-Baldur-s-Gate-Dark-Alliance-2-SLUS-20675-U?amp%3Baction=lastpost

Both games seem to be fully playable from start to end. DA1 has a fix listed for some of the issues. DA2 has a 4GB patch listed.

You might want to try both of these if you decide to give them another go.

How about Planet Crafter? You crash land on a planet and you have to terraform the planet using the materials you gather.

There's also Occupy Mars. This is more realistic. It's just that there's one aspect of it that I think you might love.

Using a drill, crane and vehicle to break down boulders for example.

Everyone needs to start treating him with Bizarro rules.

Have you looked through PCGamingWiki?

Are you playing it on disc by any chance? I know that I couldn't get it working due to "Games for Windows Live". I had to purchase it a second time on Steam before it worked (since they removed GFWL from the Steam and GOG versions).

I haven't played the games I'm about to recommend.

  1. Sengoku Dynasty - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1702010/Sengoku_Dynasty
  2. Medieval Dynasty - https://store.steampowered.com/app/1129580/Medieval_Dynasty

Is it Life Simulator type games you're interested in? Or just specifically those concerning mining, smithing, and forging?

The same way I distract myself from anything even slightly unpleasant or uncomfortable.

Escapism via gaming, reading, music, and YouTube.

Usually multiple at once. Sensory overload makes it easier to distract yourself completely.

I'd add Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead to go along with DF. Also DFHack.

but have no idea how I should go about playing games on Linux

What distro?

Do you know what graphics card you're using?

All I want is the pill from Limitless

If you want to try something a little different, check out Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. I spent so much time with that.

I've been meaning to. It's just that I got my current Netflix subscription as part of a bundle with my ISP. I have to phone them to cancel it. I don't really have the energy to do so.

Though, I'm in the process of being kicked out of my home. If I'm able to find somewhere to go, I'll likely cancel it once I change my address with the ISP.

Other than that. I use YouTube with an adblock on both my PC and FireStick.
