I would imagine it is as follows:

1. Come up with ideas or goal to accomplish /be given said goal

2. spend large amount of time looking at existing code or prior implementation of your stated goal.

3. attempt to write or import some code tailored to your specific needs

4. test and identify problem areas

5. find everything fails spectacularly and start over +/- tears.

6. repeat until successful or dead

People think that the immune system is like this pinpoint accurate machine that kills invaders. In reality, it is more like a carpet bomber that functions under the principle that we can heal and viruses/bacteria cannot. Inflammation is basically your body carpet bombing and healing.

We would also not be able to build muscle mass as the repair of microtears is what leads to hypertrophy.

So we would all be dead. Healing if fundamental to life.

If you smell your breath first thing in the morning it stinks. This is a sign of bacterial overgrowth. During the day, the biggest barrier to this is natural saliva production and agitation through movement of the mouth. These things are drastically reduced while you sleep and thus leads to a build up of bacteria. This is why it is advised that you brush your teeth after waking.

Technically, it is also advised that you brush your teeth after each meal but that is not practical for most.

This works well in principle. One of many problems here is healthcare need is not spread around uniformly. In your example you just consider number of people and number of providers. This is ok of you are just thinking of primary care (it works like this in many places). It breaks down when there are surges. What happens during flu season? What happens if there is a fire and 30 people need treatment for smoke inhalation. What happens when the doctor needs to take a vacation or gets COVID during flu season? There is redundancy built into a larger healthcare system which makes access more robust over a wider range of conditions.

Also, doctor's don't always want to work in all places.it can be harder to recruit doctors to some areas.

There are a whole host of issues here. I agree though that having a middlman take a large cut of money to "grease the system" does contribute to it's inefficiency. The healthcare system is broken on so many levels that any one change like this would be set up to fail. We need a major overhaul.

This may be a dumb way to do it but I print to PDF. It doesn't require any new software and works just fine for documents

Every company that owns media or copy protected information has one goal. To bleed consumers dry of as much money as possible. They lobby governments against our interests, track our data, and destroy the integrity of the product that they are selling to accomplish this.

For everything that I am interested in, I seek the best experience. I want the media I consume to be available, convenient, and unaltered. If I can pay a reasonable fee for that then I will. If not then I will seek other means. I am tired of corporations fighting to change culture and expectations to be "more profitable" rather than delivering a product that consumers actually want. I will continue to vote with my dollars (or lack there of) until this practice changes (which will likely be never).

On my wedding night, one of my vendors decided to go on a shopping spree with my credit card. I guess he hoped that there would be so many charges that I wouldn't notice. I didn't remember shopping for car parts while I was saying "I do". Credit card refunded the charges. I actually got them the address that the purchases were shipped to but they didn't care.

I made the switch to a safety razor 3 years ago. The blades cost me 8 cents a piece and I replace them after ~ 4 shaves. I would probably do this sooner but I maintain a beard and only use it to clean up the neck. I would never go back. The disposable razors seem terrible and a waste of money now.

We need more information. Structural issues can be small or very big. Remember, the person doing an inspection has to over report everything possible because if they don't , and something major happens after the sale, they can be sued. For me, I would take a look at how serious the issues are and decide if working on them is worth the time/effort/investment. I wouldn't buy a car that had the front end crushed in an accident because, even after the repair, the final product is not something I would want to drive or have to deal with.

Last night I installed Sonarr through the built in snap store. It seemed to go well but when I tried to add a series it lacked the permissions to make the required directory. I am going to try to uninstall it and do it manually through the terminal as root unless someone can suggest a better way.

I didn't install right away. Actually, my fist attempt to install Ubuntu failed because of the same issue. I had to retry with the graphics safe install and then it worked. When rebooting, I got to the prompt that said , "remove installation hardware and press enter to continue" I did this and the screen went blank.

I restarted with the "nomodeset" edit to the boot script and set up ssh access. That's when I tried to update the drivers. After the update there was still no video output. I suspect it's not a driver issue but I am new to Linux and do not know how to proceed with troubleshooting.

In the US, there is controversy/disagreement about when "life begins" so this issue carries strong emotions for a lot of people.

The political side of it is different. The conservative party views benefits only a small number of people and nowhere near enough to get elected. They have a long history of championing social issues like this, ornamentally, to get people to vote against their interests.

Check the compatibility with Linux but I also used Ubuntu with very little problem. It works flawlessly for me. I had no experience with Linux before this and was able to set it up with some googling and Asking ChatGPT for some useful commands. It was a fun project. The *arr suite is great.

This is good advice. I did try to follow the "official" install for this one. When I Google "how to install" all the instructions are different and like 5 years old so they are outdated.

The system we have is built like an unsteady house of cards which is cemented together using ridiculous amounts of money. To dismantle and rebuild it without having to close inner city and rural hospitals would take a decade or more. This means the first step is campaign finance reform and overturn citizens united since the change would have to outlast more than one political regime. Then maybe work one single payor and universal medical record. Many steps from there.

It starts just fine. When I try to add a series to it, it shoot up an error that it cannot create the required directory. Even if I sudo the directory in manually it cannot write the files. I assume that it doesn't have write privileges but I lack the skills to find the appropriate service and change it's privileges.

I currently don't require much transcoding but I imagine I will as time goes on. I would rather not have to police the filetypes for downloads as heavily. That being said, It will be an always on server so power is a consideration. I haven't thought about how expensive it would be to run a tower server vs raspberry Pi.

I hadn't considered adding serial Pi's. That is an interesting idea. I am not sure how I would go about doing that but Ill do some research. Any good resources you would recommend?

I agree. Sometimes it is easier to vilify those with differing beliefs than to admit that another person may think so differently from ourselves. It is a very polarizing practice.
