This is such a thorough post. I really appreciate that you took the time to compile this.

I think you've discovered most of them. I wish the meta communities were more active. I find them very valuable.

Then again I should try harder to be the change I want to see in the world.

I actually own this book. Someone bought it for me as a gag gift.

The majority population in DC proper are people of colour. And the types of white Folx in the city are way more progressive than your average American.

Black or African American (non-hispanic) (43.9%) White (non-hispanic) (36.7%) Other (Hispanic) (4.23%) Asian (non-hispanic) (4.03%) White (Hispanic) (3.8%)

Of the top five groups, whites only make up like 40%.

So this turn out is exactly right.

If they allow city flags, the flag for Cuzco is a rainbow flag I believe.

I'd recommend https://lemmy.world/c/general it's a community for general discussion and people seem to post whatever with no problem.

Genuine question, is Lemmy.ml censored in some way?

How much longer will it be before I can finally log in and use boost or liftoff. Is there a timeline for a fix? Both have been broken since the update.

Well then, I'll disregard the original comment. I don't mind that slurs are censored.

I love trash reality TV, but not as much as I love communities talking about trash reality TV.

I wish there was a community here for Love Island or Love is Blind.

This is such a useful comment that I'm bookmarking this. I know that NFTs are flawed tech but I struggle to explain it well.

Solid, I will.

Rice is the most perfect carb. There are so many variations.

Lemmy.ml didn't appear down for me today... But I'm not great at noticing these types of things so you should get a second opinion.

I use Boost because it has a tagging feature. So instead of blocking people with smoking hot trash takes I tag them so I can read their posts and comments with scepticism in the future.

I only block people who troll and do nothing else.

It's really helpful for not shrinking the pool of comments or posts I can read.

So far for me, the only place in the fediverse with news and politics communities that are okay but not great are the ones on beehaw.org.

Everywhere else I've checked so far has a very naked agenda. Beehaw still leans left, but not in a way that feels icky.
