It always makes me sad that chess.com was the site that blew up. I always had to convince my friends to use lichess when I played back in school.

It does appear that lemmy.world is heading in the same direction of mastodon.social though.

Such odd rules for paying. I'd rather just talk to the person I'm dining with and see what they want to do. I prefer to just pay for what I ordered in all scenarios but if they insist after I say no once then I'll let them pay.

I use productivity launcher. Its very barebones, works well, quick access to my apps and it's not bright and colorful so my phone is a little less appealing to look at and might reduce my screen time a tiny bit.

When was that. I tried Samsung with the s5, s7 edge, and then went to one plus for awhile. The s5 and s7 edge were never great and we're laggy. I've now had an s21+ for over two years and the experience has been great. I'm pretty sure I'll get another 2 years out of this phone before I upgrade.

Look into using a dns that blocks tracking. I believe Adguard offers a free one. Nextdns offers up to 300k requests free a month. Controld also offers a free trial.

Why shouldn't we accept it? Its already poven to be better for you than alcohol, many people enjoy it, and a lot less deaths per year will be caused by wee than alcohol. Should people who don't want to drink not be allowed to have a place they can hang out similar to a bar?

The server has already been upgraded 3 times. I'm sure they'll upgrade again if they're seeing issues. They might not know if it's an external issue.

I'm sick of alcohol users smelling like ass. If you don't drink then the smell of alcohol on someone's breath is absolutely nauseating.

They're not updating til 0.18.1 comes. The lemmy devs got rid of captcha in 0.18 and lemmy.world devs asked if they could add it back in 0.18.1 and they agreed so once that happens it will update. Said there would be too many bots without captcha.
