I'm usually not in favor of government intervention/overreach, but it's not like corporations are going to do anything in our favor, and many people need specific medication to, you know, be alive. So +1 for the federal government.

These letters are wild. Why? Why get involved? He's been convicted. Just stay out of it. Now you simply look like you're defending a convicted rapist. I don't care if it was my best friend. I'm not going to write a letter for a rapist asking for the judge to go easy on him because he was always nice to me.
Too much of the same kind of people. Not enough diverse, different opinions.
So. Many. Tankies. I've had to block countless instances/communities.
Tired of hearing about Linux. It's a cult on Lemmy. Like the people who bully you into using Apple products.
Technology instance is too often not about genuine technology. Usually whining about Amazon business practices or bitching about Musk.
If I stick to my own subscriptions, it's not bad. On All? An endless hell pit.
Because bobs and vagene.
I remember when 4G was rolling out, either t-mobile or AT&T were advertising 4G, when it was really 3G+.
128gb at $1000 is a joke. I'm more or less done with high end phones. I won't use most of the high end features anyway. Bought a mid range Samsung last year with a micro SD card slot. Stuck a 512gb card in it. I am happy.
I was using Boost on reddit, but their Lemmy version isn't available yet. Read about Eternity. Thus far I have no complaints. It works.
Is "worker owned" a fancy way of stating they are small business owners?
I used to. I still do, but I used to too.
People who buy new are wild to me. I can afford a new car, or I could just buy a car that's only a few years old with low mileage and save a ton of money. Seems like a no brainer to me.
Throughout the year I played:
-Secret of Mana (haven't played in 15 years or so. Game still holds up)
-Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (and the Torna DLC). The main story is fantastic. A bit quantity of quality with all the Blades.
-The Legend of Zelda: TOTK. This game is great. Ultra hand blows this game wide open
-Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Finish this one up now and about to start the DLC. Story IMO is the poorest of the 3 games. But they took the best of the first two game's battle mechanics and improved that system.
Probably XC2. It was a lot of fun.
If I cared enough, I'd tell someone because I hate thieves, but I generally prefer to mind my own business. Same philosophy if I saw someone stealing from a small business.
I am. Played pretty hardcore between 2014 - 2016. Didn't realize it was still going strong.
AI: the new boogie man.
The freaking spiders are turning everyone gay!
My god, the memes that will drop when Android 18 releases. Now that I think about it, I'm surprised I haven't seen any for Android 13 or 14.
"These companies don't pay their employees enough, in my opinion, so I'm ok with people stealing from them."
Just say what you mean.
Also using Boost. After a few settings changes it feels just like the Boost reddit app. Love it.
That game gets shit on a lot, but I've always enjoyed it. People don't like it because it's different.
Do you have evidence this woman was forced to bear this child? I didn't read that in the article. And since you provided your opinion of why the mother did this to the child, I know for a fact you didn't read the article.
Gottem.
Was that a typo, or did you intentionally spell fanboys with an I?
Sorry, best we can do is another Elon is bad thread, and discussing Amazon business practices.
I only play one online game (Dead By Daylight). Besides that it's all single player games (mostly JRPGs). This year: Secret of Mana, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Torna The Golden Country, and Tears of the Kingdom. It was a good year. About to start Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
I play on the Switch (until cross progression becomes a thing) so playing killer is a nightmare. Survivor is fun though.
Oh yeah tons are people are poverty stricken and overflowing with happiness :/
If this is true, and people stupidly signed a contract stating as such, I have zero sympathy for them if they get sued. What a ridiculous stipulation.
Around 2011 or so, certain Android models had mini hdmi. I even bought a mini hdmi to hdmi cable. I believe screen mirroring became common and killed it because I didn't see it on phones after a couple of years.
I still vote, but all but once in the last 20 years I've written in a name. When a worthy candidate from one of the two political parties is worthy of my vote, they'll get it. Voting on state and local elections is far more important than the federal level anyway.
Privilege is a subjective concept and thus has little meaning. You can not care if you choose to. Or get worked up every 4 years when your team doesn't win.
Agreed. The person you're responding to thinks it's good because most people are aligned with his/her opinions. It's currently nothing more than a large echo chamber. A fresh injection of users will do Lemmy well for diversity of thought.
They terk er jobs!
As a YouTube Music subscriber (because of yt premium): "stop trying to make YouTube music a thing. It's not going to happen".
Love Salt's videos. Though the length of his videos are damn near becoming marvel movie length. Good thing he makes quality content.
Remember when we used to shame people for "selling out"? Now we have an entire generation or two who can't sell out faster enough. Crazy.
If you can't trust Big Bathroom, who can you trust?
This is the kind of government intervention I can get behind. This story is so outrageous, it's hard to believe it's true.
