You seem to completely disregard the fact that freeing up "a few units here and there" will have a material impact that lessens the need for immediate building of more houses in already overpopulated areas. I'm not saying, by any stretch, that we shouldn't build but obfuscating the issue with another does not help. The short term rental market is an issue for a lot of people.

This is a real bummer. I saw these guys on The Fully Charged Show a couple of years back and their first car looked incredibly promising. But the auto industry is not easy to break and investors know that. Hopefully the solar roofs will prove profitable enough for them to try again.

Considering the affected models, this is absolutely ludicrous. Those vehicles already suffer from diminished battery capacities, with some being around the 50% mark at this point, so to further corrode owner experience is ridiculous. Early adopters paved the way for the current spate of EVs so punishing them for this is outrageous. The article states 2G networks will remain live for almost another 6 years. Giving that reason as the cause of the loss of functionality is so disingenuous it is beyond belief. What a way to inspire confidence in your company...

What a handsome fellow. Incredibly sorry for such a loss. I hope you are doing alright

The worst book I've ever read has to be 1984. The book is excellent, but did not do good things for me so it goes down as the worst

At some point, I hope manufacturers start giving us bigger sensors, rather than insisting on raising the MP of the sensor. I love the modern era where most smartphones are offering great point and shoot photos, but the bigger sensors are really the best way to innovate in that area

Switched the other day. It's just as good

Are they African pigmy hedgehogs? They are all so cute

Revanced all the way, baby!

I was not aware of that! Thank you for mentioning it. It has always seemed crazy to me that customers have no charge over assets on bankruptcy. In a better world, that'd be the case but that's not the world we live in.

As an aside, this is the sort of thing that is going to hinder investment in small firms in the auto industry, further compiling the issue of a few manufacturers setting ridiculous prices for their vehicles.

Agreed. It's just such a bummer. All of the big sensor phones operate it like a gimmick and you get a camera with a tacked on phone. What would be beneficial is a good phone with a big sensor. I think the images would slowly change the minds of general consumers

Second the Hyperion books, though they are a fair slog, but well worth it!!

I see a lot of recommendations for the deadly education series but I did not enjoy it at all. I finished the first book out of pure sunk cost, but I really did not like the book or the narration.

If you're looking for less YA, you could try my favourite book series, The Magicians.

Yasssss big sensor

What's that but another opportunity for a different AI to assess security strength?

That's right! You've made an excellent decision. I sound like a PR person for Lev Grossman at this point but those books are absolutely fantastic.

Another one to check out that is slightly more adult oriented are the Bloodsworn books by John Gwynn. Sadly, his daughter passed away so he hasn't yet spoken of the release date but of the third book yet, though the name was released recently so I believe it is being worked on. It's too be titled 'Fury of the Gods'. From what I can tell, that couldn't have happened to a nicer guy so it's truly heartbreaking, but his literature is fantastic.
