Good to see more people are understanding how anti-consumer our digital distribution laws are. Sucks they had to find out this way, but people have been warning of this for years.

Of course they want you to use their shops. That way they can charge whatever price they want.

It's the same reason McDonald's ice cream machines are always down.

Not even real money, tech bro phantom bullshit.

With ads being put on the videos now it's definitely not worth it.

Thanks for pointing this out! I was already using Firefox, but after looking this up I found out that they also got rid of him for being homophobic.

Firefox it is!

No, they are absolutely not the biggest, unless you're talking about classic liberalism instead of something like the Democratic Party. The messaging of the GOP and right in the US is far more opposed to solidarity than anything else.

There is far more participation in unions in Blue states. Union members are also more likely to be Democratic voters.

That said, the Democratic Party doesn't push working class solidarity either, they're just not as openly opposed to it.

It doesn't need to kill them to completely disrupt social order. There's an estimate out there that there will be up to 1 billion climate refugees by 2050. The Global North already does not handle refugees as well, even though they consistently cause a large amount of the refugee problems.

Successful social movements requires messaging that can reach the lowest common denominator.

You mean despite of Christianity.

The book is bigger than at its base. Our society cannot progress without removing it from a focal point.

A few people voting with their dollars is completely useless. You're also talking about an international business with more users outside the US than in it, who don't need to care about Joe Rogan.

https://techcrunch.com/2023/04/25/spotify-now-has-more-than-500m-users/

That said, I don't eat at Chick-fil-A because of their shitty politics. I understand that me not eating there isn't creating any actual change, but I'm still not going to do it.

People should absolutely feel free to make these changes whenever they want, but you should realize that Spotify has grown subscribers since you left and they don't care that you did.

If we're going to have a president who backs fascist regimes abroad no matter what, they might as well be less fascist domestically.

The bar is so fucking low.

Yeah, I agree with that. But you can't get any more solidarity with the wolves, that's my point. There's no reason to be hyperbolic about it since it just pushes people further away from realizing the points of these two men.

When it's self-selected death by hateful people who dehumanize others I don't have a problem with it.

If they don't rectify your problem the company wins and they might get a promotion.

You've got jack shit without a union.

They already do. The important difference between then and now is he won't be around to keep making up nonsense.

Skyrocketing insurance is already on the way. Places that don't outright lose access to insurers will continue to see massive increases over the next decade. US Insurers will all be following suit soon. Property insurance got killed last year and is already getting hit hard this year.

"voting is the only way to create change" is the mentality that got us here.

You know why George Floyd's murderer was the only one who got the sentence he deserved? Because the people demanded it by threatening capital.

I love those books. Good to know I won't have to watch the show.

Absolutely agree. Connect has come a long way since I left reddit when RIF died.

I was literally referred to this series by a friend just this weekend. I need to watch it.

Good to know, also been learning Dutch and was hoping to make a switch

Right, how could someone not want to vote for someone because they support genocide? How ludicrous.

I'll still vote for Biden because I'll already be in the booth, but sitting back and acting like this is our only option is nonsense.

Voting alone does not create change. Labor Movement, Women's Suffrage, Civil Rights, all were accomplished by active resistance and here you are spouting nonsense about how we should all just participate in the system that's circling the drain instead of disrupting it.

The longer you all take to come around the worse it will get, no matter which major party is in the Oval Office.

Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy on PS2. It was an innovative third person shooter game where the player got telekinesis powers.

I don't remember if the story is actually any good, but the gameplay was really cool.

I literally said I'd vote for him.

Your inability to actually discuss the argument instead of just simping for your genocidal Uncle Joe is pathetic.

People wonder how average Germans allowed the Nazi party to go so far. We are talking about literal fucking genocide and you come in here and says "but it's the best version of genocide we got" while throwing up your hands and immediately insulting anyone who complains.

It's no wonder things keep going so far when we continue lowering the bar and there's still simps willing to lecture people while their Party helps commit mass murder.

I love how readily you dehumanized the people getting killed over there so you could easily suck the Dems. Typical liberal.

That doesn't make sense when they backed the one in California but only didn't back this one because it would allow consumers to go outside of their repair system.

And California. There's a few reasons why a company as big as State Farm (the largest home insurer in the state) stopped writing new home policies there, largely the natural disaster risk.

I have some gaming friends over there that I want to visit, so I might this year!

I did look at that and I wanted to try it out, but they don't even have a free trial, which is unfortunate. Part of the reason I used duolingo was because I am hoping to get the basics for free so I can see if I'm actually learning.

Who said to do nothing? I'm saying this path is also terrible.

We as a people, and specifically the commenters who insist these are the only options, are consciously choosing between the two paths that lead to genocide. We are specifically saying we are too comfortable and indifferent to demand the changes to prevent it.

That's insane.

Yeah, the Catholic Church guarded access to education, preventing the rest of the commoners from learning how poorly they translated the Bible to maintain control of the people. It's too bad the Protestant movement didn't destroy the Catholic Church.

If you at for the sub they should let you play those games on the new device. It's otherwise $200 to do nothing unless you get the console.

They're doing what they've always done, trying to get money. This shouldn't be a shock.

Got to love the constant partisan distraction machine.

Congrats on the booming economy while we're helping with genocide overseas and we have record homelessness here.

Progress won't come from any Christianity (and likely almost any religion, but I don't know others well enough to comment). They will either need to denounce the book as being bullshit and decide to progress or they will continue to hold society behind.

That people need to start by stopping this "only voting matters" narrative that so many push. I know people try to counter that by saying that people are overworked and don't have time for protests or any other direct action, but the Labor Movement was done by people working 70ish hour weeks.

More people need to be willing to protest. Until they are, things aren't going to meaningfully get better.

Right now, the message I get from a lot of these conversations here is that the President is allowed to have a little genocide as a treat because otherwise there could be more genocide. It's completely insane.

Anyone insisting that the only way to move forward is to vote for someone who is promoting genocide is effectively saying that, yes.
