Getting people riled up about abortion allowed them to get a large segment of voters to support their party. Anti-choice people are largely emotional, single-issue voters. Once you've convinced people that your opponents want to allow "baby killing", you can pretty much count on their votes without having to actually cater to their needs.

A lot of these conferences have contracts with conference venues that kinda locks them in for hosting the conference at that location multiple years in a row.

I mean, they are literally clickbait. They want you to wonder what the best part of Alan Wake is or what the best soullike of 2023 is. It's just an evolution of clickbait, but it's still very much clickbait.

Important to note that many people don't believe that the way things are is "stable". It isn't just "change it to be better than just stable," it's "get most people to be stable instead of just the rich people who are stable already "

I mean, it's the main mechanic of the game, and happens in the first 22 minutes of the game. I would not describe that as a "major spoiler" but it is neat when it just happens suddenly.

The sages were SO obnoxious. They were generally constantly in the way when you didn't want them to be there (picking up stuff) and when you actually want to use them in combat, it seemed like they actively ran away from you. I'd deactivate them only to immediately need them to clear out stuff. Easily the worst part of the game.

I have a Pixel 5a and have the same issues in maps. It loves to replace the dot on the map (which seems accurate) with the giant "low accuracy" text, which just gets in the way. When I "calibrate" it has me take pictures of the area around me.

I don't want to be a conspiracy nut but it feels purposeful so that they can just get more photo data. I wish I could just turn the "calibration" off and just let me be in "low accuracy" mode.

I really liked it at first, but after 10 or so runs, it started getting a bit stale. It's a really well done game, but the level gen gets limiting pretty quickly and I wasn't a fan of half of the weapons.

Definitely still worth checking out, and the PC version ran pretty well for me.

Explore and be curious. Have you visited every planet? Have you been using the ship logs when you're not sure what to do next?

The game is 100% about exploring and learning about the world.

That's wild to me that you like YT music's ux more. What recommendation things do you like about YT music?

I find Yt music to be really frustrating. I liked Google play music, but the awkward integration with YouTube is weird. Why are my liked YouTube videos, by default, mixed up with my liked songs? Who would want that ever?

TIL Lemmy hates dogs?

My office allowed dogs, and the dog was always super chill and never made a sound. Honestly it sounds dumb, but it's good when I see a dog. It makes me happy.

Obviously a poorly behaved dog would suck. I feel like it's implied that bringing a dog into work means that the dog has to be well behaved.
