By what definition of fascism are tankies the same?
I’ve seen the term tankie more here in my last week in the fediverse than at any other time in my life so forgive me if I don’t fully understand. From what I’ve gathered, it’s extreme auth-left. Though being authoritarian does not automatically mean fascist.

That’s not even their party position as Republicans have a very long history of choosing winners and losers. They just like to pretend that they want the market to decide but that’s far from reality.
The Beatles changed in the very short amount of time they existed. They put out about ten albums in 7 or 8 years and comparing the first with the last they’re almost unrecognizable. Listening with modern ears it’s clear they’re all The Beatles but that’s mostly because of the ubiquitousness of their music.
