As an European, I still prefer the freedom to have alternate App stores.

Yet, I still don't see a reason why they don't provide the same app to all customers since it's allowed by Apple, aside from greed or something like that.

Either way, let these developers enjoy their small time of fame, because as soon as RetroArch becames available, a lot of these emulators will be left in the dust ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I use and recommend Baikal.

I only use RetroArch on PC, so I don’t know how it works on iOS, but I will assume will be identical to the console versions, which already have all the cores included on the emulator (on PC they are downloaded individually).

I wouldn’t call it just a front end, it’s much more than that, and it has a great integration. Also the devs seem to focus a lot on the emulation accuracy.

For offline usage, I prefer using Here WeGo (I like download the full map instead).

For the other 90% usage, Waze and Apple Maps are good enough.

Even though I use iOS devices, Google isn’t my search engine on these devices. I can understand an organization like Mozilla needing the money from Google, but when we’re talking about a trillion dollar company, I cannot have the same understanding.

For some time, Edge was my favourite browser, given that it has awesome features like sleeping tabs, vertical tabs and web select (this last one allowed you to select an html table and paste in excel). With the silent removal of web select, and adding more and more useless features, they just pushed me into Firefox.

Whenever I see a project which the support relies on Discord, I ignore it, or I treat it as if it doesn't have support at all.

Well, if you don’t link an instance, it won’t work. And you need to know the instances’ name (some of them don’t support account creation, which you’ll need if you want to import your YouTube’s subscriptions).

So, compared to a normal app, like NewPipe where you install it and it just works, they are not wrong on saying that it’s s a bit of a pain.

I agree with everything you write, but I'll also add an unpopular opinion as someone who tested the beta version of Vista and hated it: Vista x64 SP2 was a good OS, which solved most of the issues that existed with the OS.

And into this day, it's the most beautiful Windows UI, at least for me.

I don’t know, I had to use Slack because of a specific customer, and I can’t stand the UI of it.

The way it displays the reply’s… the confusing crap of the workspaces (which each one has it’s own account, and they are independent)… the (lack of?) inline images…

I highly recommend using DeArrow, from the same dev from SponsorBlock.

The DeArrow extension works with both ways:

1. If the community submits a thumbnail (you can vote on them) and a better video headline, that will be the default one. I always try to submit the most relevant thumbnail, even if it might be a spoiler one (it’s up to you if you are interested in the context or not).
2. In the absence of community submitted content, a random thumbnail will be used (still better than the stupid faces).
