Your honor, my client has instructed me to remind the court how rich and important he is & that he is not like other men

Wrath of Kahn,

It was the first movie my mom dropped me off at at about 12nyears old. I'm sure she was grateful she didn't have to go.

I was not ready for the earworms. Still gives me the heebie-jeebies.

I guess two car accidents would have been suspicious.

I'm not going to say Meatfucker did nothing wrong, but I always liked A Frank Exchange of Views .

Swiss-German is a pretty good secret language.

Perhaps more useful is to silently make your mouth into an "o" like you're saying "go" if you want to go, or a line like you're saying "stay" if you want to stay.

I can't decide if that's a lot or not.

I meant it would be a lot to me, but it's not even one unpaid lawyer bill to him.

I went to Pulp Fiction 3 times on opening weekend.

That was a good weekend.

I've slept on one for 20+ years and they really work for me and my wife. Our current one is a platform bed with a futon matress from https://www.thefutonshop.com we got it in 2015 and it has lasted well. I'm sure there are other nice ones available.

If you need to fold it into a couch get one that folds in the direction that you lie in which keeps the lumps under control. If you don't need to fold it, you can get a thicker mattress which will still be very firm.

If you sleep in it all the time, flip it over every month or two. Alternate between flipping it long ways and sideways.

Get a frame, even being a couple of inches off the floor gives it some air.

The biggest minus for me is that I'm so used to it all hotel/guest beds are too soft now.

We have one in our guest room too and have gotten more compliments than complaints FWIW.

Meddle, Pink Floyd

Yeah my problem with the 3 bucks is that 2.50 of it is going straight to reddit's rent seeking. I hope it works out with dBrady and relay, but it will be without me.

Relay said they are going to try $3/month subscription model.

I definitely got my money's worth out of Relay Pro, but I can't justify the subscription.

Tldr: made ribs, and bread, they were tasty, I'll post the pork fried rice tomorrow

Wrath of Kahn.

I was not ready for the ear worm scene.

A blackout. You already collected it.

I was wondering about the point where it is halfway between high and low, whether it is ebbing or flowing. Slack is more the high or low point where it switches from ebbing to flowing.

Is myanonamouse one of the big ones that you checked?

The Glass Cannon

The Daily Beans

Behind the Bastards

Ebb is the state of the tide going out, Flow is coming in.

Intertidal is an interesting thought, but isn't it already taken by the area that is covered by high tide and exposed at low.

Median-Tide?

I'm a simple man, I hear a trombone solo - I up vote.

Thanks, I hadn't heard these guys before.

Worked great with coconut milk.

I think everyone knows NENA's 99Luftbalons, but my second favorite German song with a title that starts with a number is:

36 Grad by 2Raumwohnumg is just a perfect ode to summer.

My first was a Valkyrie, and I've gotten a couple of wizards to the bar, but Caveman was a challenge

Please don't bury me down in the cold cold ground

In all seriousness I'd rather they cut me up and pass me all around.

Not me.

Found lemmynsfw.com, nuked reddit nsfw alt.

Also a soon to be former Relay user, and it looks like dbrady is having trouble making the subscription numbers work too:

"I'm still looking into it, gathering data etc. Unfortunately the average call rates when broken down to the top 2, 5, 10% etc of users is painting a much different picture. This is the cohort of users I would expect to possibly convert to a subscription model and the average rates for those users can be 3,4,5 even 600 hundred calls per day just by the shear amount they use the app. Some of the top users are well over 1000 per day and sometimes over 2000.

So I'm not sure yet. It would probably have to be a usage based subscription model if it was going to be anything and I'm not sure that's worth doing. I am still looking into it but unfortunately I don't think my earlier price points will work." From r/relayforreddit pinned post

Thanks! this gave me a great idea for what to do with all the extra tomatoes and sauce from a braised cauliflower I made the other night

Redditi ite domum!

Once, at the gwailo table of a wedding, I saw a picky eater mistake jelly fish for noodles, try them and like them.

Their face when they found out was...

More duck tongues for the rest of us.

At least that one has a "jump to recipe" button at the top

As good a selection as any

I grew up on the coast, so I never really thought about tides just that that was the way it was. Then I married someone from a landlocked country and every time we drive over the bridge over the cove near our house I comment when the tide is high or low since they are used to lakes, and I'm never quite sure what to say when it's in the middle.

Isn't that more like Slack-tide when a high or low tide turns and becomes still (Stau like traffic?)

Growing up, we had a game called "fight the tide" where we would build sand castles in the intertidal zone with a stick in the peak of the castle. Last stick standing wins a chocolate bar.

"Well There's Your Problem" a podcast about engineering disasters, with slides (and actionable threats,) fits surprisingly well. Especially The God-damn News section.
