This is true, but it would help incentivise the country to move away from fossil fuels.

Also worth noting this would drive up the prices of nearly all goods as well since shipping costs would rise.

There are good incentives for fuel subsidizes, but the goverment has failed at having stipulations to gonwith the subsidizes.

Personally, i think they should nationalize the fuel production industry. No one should get rich from a natural resource, especially one that is destorying the planet. Even more so since they have known about it for 70+ years and have been trying to cover it up.

In order of worst to bad..

My cat of 14 years had to be put down, my parents gifted my sister nearly a half million dollars with the reasoning that she needs it more (with the " dont worry, we will even it out later"), my wifes mom semi disowned her ( not sure exactly what this situation is) and wifes dad is playing favorites with step kids.

Well fuck all of us.

I mean.. they were right.. i am more conservative as i got older. I now put more money in my 401k. I save more. I eat at home more.

However, i still think other races and sexual preferences are human, and billionaires dont need to exist. Social welfare is still a good thing and probably more important than ever.

I did buy a gun though. Target shooting is fun. But, we need a hell of alot more gun control than there is now. If anything, my experience buying a gun made me more scared due to how easy it was.

I worked for a company that designed home security devices for a few years.. Pretty much everyone i talked to agreed there is only 1 actually good security device that is an effective deterrent. Its called "Large Scary Dog". Every other device is there just to notify you that all your shit is soon to be or already gone.

On the other hand, these digital locks, while not any safer, are much more convenient. I am all in on not having to carry keys and instead have a code to enter or some other easy access.

Netflix's glass onion may end up a prediction on the level of Idiocracy

Looks like a modern AAA video game

Everyone is just bringing up economic reasons, but none of them are really policy directly. The economics are a good reason to hate California, but they dont have policies that really drive this. The real key is that California is a massively desirable place to live. The beaches are only second to Hawaii. The weather is arguably the best in the world. Some of the most beautiful state parks. It's one of the only places you could surf in the morning and snowboard in the afternoon. Supply is limited, and demand is high, so you get high prices.

As for actual policy, California has a progressive mindset. This leads to a lot of progressive policies. The problem tends to be that the policies that get enacted are often designed to sound progressive, but actually just limit the citizens without fixing the problem. Examples:

  1. Coal rolling was bad for the environment. So they outlawed a large amount of car tuning. This causes damage to the car culture and a good hobby for a large number of citizens.

  2. Water, being a limited resource in California, made it finable to water your lawn or wash your car in a drought, even though farming and business use 96% of total water usage. Normal people water usage isn't going to solve the problem

  3. Gun policies that dont allow suppressors, short barrel rifles, etc, but in reality, the vast majority of gun crime and accidents are all based around handguns.

I have oversimplified all of these, but essentially, California is very good at making policies that annoy their citizens, but dont solve the problem just to make it appear like they are doing something.

You dont wana mess with zombie newton.

But seriously.. they are using catboxes in the classroom!!!!

Shahed : Iranian supplied aircraft of some sort, im guessing drone munition

AIM-132 ASRAAM : Advanced Short Range Air-to-Air Missile. Though this appears to be fired from a ground launcher. ASRAAM WIKIPEDIA

Heat isnt a great generator of electrical power. At least not at lower temperatures ( below boiling, for steam generation). It also suffers from conversion loss. Anytime you convert energy, there is a loss. Using the heat directly avoids another conversion.

Its a war.. im surprised they are not handing them AKs and sending them to the front lines...

Im on YouTube more than any other media. Video podcasts, educational videos, news, product reviews and comparisons. how to's from fixing your dryer to 3d modeling and printing and coding examples.

I find it more entertaining and educational that most moder tv shows and marvel movies.

Also worth noting in the case of uber, even if price is equal with taxis, the experience is much better. Nicer cars, better drivers and much easier app use. Even at price parity, its a very superior product in most cases.

There is one main difference in this comparison. If you upgrade your desktop consistently, those old parts are valuable on the used market, which can make the upgrades more affordable. Used laptop parts are less desirable due to their inoperability.

There were no negative repercussions last time they tried. Why wouldnt they do it again?

Im doing the same.. but its so tempting...

I do t consider bonds or CDs as gambling. They are guaranteed unless the entire financial institution dies, in which case your investment in ammo matters more than money.

Its kinda perfect down the middle.

Speed and movement like a COD. Very crisp and fluid and fast.

Damage like a sim. Single shot kills, no kill feed or hit markers etc.

Lightning and thunder. Awe inspiring and yet terrifying at the same time.

I read it in school, but honestly did not find it to be all that special. Its a good book, but its message was pretty simple and i think modern audiences would agree with the premise immediately.

I found "The Catcher in the Rye" to be the most thought-provoking of high schools books. However, i dont think it really would improve society if more people read it.

If i could think of a book everyone should read to improve humanity, it would have to be something akin to either statistics for dummies, moral philosophy for dummies, or wealth management for dummies.

For the nukes dropped to explode? I dont think its a good idea.. but the nukes dropped accidentally didnt explode, which greatly reduces the effect.

This fixed most my issues with windows 11.

Property tax is alreadly locked in California.

Prop 13 is one of the main reasons i moved out of CA

I mean sure.. but using a key to enter isnt really any safer? Like lock picks and jimmys and air bags have been defeating physical locks for even longer? Hell, a brick through a window gets you in faster than anything.

Diabo 2 remaster is still really good

Other than that, il just wait for poe 2

This is also the 1st time in history we could fuck up bad enough that it wont be recoverable. Climate change, nuclear war, biological experimentation, AI... it seems inevitable that we will erase humanity from the galaxy.

I will have to check the rest of these .

UPGRAYEDD, spelled thusly, always gets his money.

I dono what people expected. Discord costs money to develop and run. It was always just a matter of time before it cost money.

I learnt stick at around 14. 37 now and still drive and prefer stick. Also just did 3 laps around the nurburgring with a stick for the 1st time a few weeks ago. A life changing experience

Im an american and just visited Germany. I rented a stick, but was given an automatic because they ran out of cars. The rental company asked, "Do you know how to drive automatic?". Just the thought of it kinda blew my mind.

Driving in Germany was a geat experience. I really wish america would adopt alot of the german driving laws and thinking. I would however be sad about the car modification laws.

On a side note, i spent a day of the trip doing laps at the nurburgring in a manual hyundai i30n. Life changing experience.

Two is one, one is none.

I love it.. but honestly, i spend 99% of my time on desktop, so this just doesn't help me.

The problem os that they rely on their employees.. go figure.. this just means they cant afford to fire these people.

Got my sim rig up and running, so assteo corsa and war thunder.

To be fair.. im not usually watching as mutch as listening in the case of news and podcasts. Though i have to admit being able to see gestures and facial expressions does improve those media.

Does it include accidents by autopilot?
