Instant pot/air fryer combo - I like that I can make one-pot meals in it as I really don't like cooking, and anything I make in there cooks fast. Pasta, rice, meats, there's so many recipes.
Bissell Green Machine - it can wash furniture/carpet. Great for spills, if you have pets. Wash the upholstery in your vehicle. Small and compact. I use it a lot.
Large Honeywell air purifier - my husband smokes a fair amount of pot. I really don't enjoy my space smelling like it all the time. This thing sucks up the smoke and I don't have to deal with it. I buy the replacement air filters on Amazon.
Steam Deck - I love this thing. I love gaming but I'm tired of sitting at my desktop. It's like a small handheld computer too, so you can do other things on it besides run Steam. Right now I'm using it to stream CraveTV to my TV since my Raspberry Pi streaming box isn't working.
I was recently thinking about buying a Switch since I wanted to play a couple Nintendo games, but after this most recent bit of bullshit they're pulling, in conjunction to all their other bullying, im not buying another Nintendo product again. Why would I support this shit company.
My husband just traded one for the other. We'd like to think it's "healthier", but who knows. Definitely stinks less which I appreciate.
The depressing part is watching people go from one jackass to another.
I think red betrayer is my new favorite name for Reddit
This was my experience with Photoshop. Got it installed, tried a few things, great, seems to work. Then eventually I went to actually use it, and it would consistently crash trying to do certain tasks. Back to dual boot I go..
Looks like someone continuously hitting the suggested words on there cellphone keyboard.
Also, love the analogy.
I guess I'm the only one that's stopped using a third party launcher.. After getting an S23 and being on One UI 6 I'm finding I'm not hating the stock launcher anymore. I was using Nova forever.
I can't wait for the Lemmy Boost app. Wish kbin had an API so there'd be apps for it as well though.
I don't know anthing about EndlessOS, but Zorin tends to be a good Windows substitute.
My vet clinic I work at was contacted by Red Cross some years ago damanding that we change our logo becuase it had a red plus sign in it. It was the most ridiculous thing. How did they even find out about us? we are no big time clinic, only people in our city are going to know who we are. We had that logo for a long, long time. It was just bizarre.
My understanding is that only kbin can interact with both Lemmy and Mastodon while also showing its own threads/magazines/whatever. Lemmy can only see Lemmy and Mastadon can only see Mastodon.
I'm on kbin and also have access to read and comment on Lemmy posts, though I'm not sure how to access Mastadon as I don't see them show up when I search for other communities..
Edit: looks like I have to search Microblogs when I want to see Mastadon. Seems kind of confusing though, I don't think I understand how Mastodon works.
I don't think regular people would disagree with you.
Photoshop for me. Yeah I can get it running under Linux, but it keeps crashing, or is buggy.
And no, Gimp is not a good replacement if anyone goes there.
What I'm finding and what's really annoying, is that every streaming service out there has like 1 or 2 shows and a couple of movies I want to see. Someone will bring up a show, but oh sorry, it's on Crave. Or nope, that one's on Disney Plus. That other show? It's on Prime.
I recently canceled Netflix and moved to Crave, and I am certainly no happier. Thank God I barely care to watch TV as it is.
I use these silicone face exfoliators that I bought 2 years ago, it's a pack of 4 and I'm still using my first one. Gentle and does the job. I pair it with a mild facewash.
Also, if you're really flaky, you might want to up your moisturizer game.
I had a problem like this the other day. I needed to vacuum out my car and there is no good outlet near it where I park at my apartment building. Went to the hand wash to wash my car, then on the outside of the building there was a random outlet on the wall, no idea why it was there. I thought about plugging my vacuum in that I had in my trunk, but I felt too weird about it..
On another note, I've totally used outlets in the hospital waiting area when I've been there for hours. I don't feel weird about that for whatever reason. But we don't pay for Healthcare here so maybe that has something to do with it.
They removed the need for an account to view tweets not long after they implemented it.
As far as I know the rate limit is still in effect though.
If you want to cross post to different communities, then maybe, but cross posting to all the other technology communities seems awfully redundant and spammy. With how lemmy works, if someone is subscribed to one technology community, they're likely subscribed to others.
If you're using those accounts to sign into things, that appears to be listed as activity.
I'm surprised they only made these guys 5' 4" tall. Seems kind of short. Figure they'd have greater abilities if they made them taller, though maybe they'd fall over easier, I don't know.
I don't really like this as maybe I just want a comment or post to get more exposure, but don't necessarily want it plastered on my profile page.
But everyone and everything rather avoid pain, wouldn't they? And if I would like to treat those the way I would like to be treated, then why not try to help mitigate that pain where possible?
I don't know if I'd feel like I'd be missing out on anything personally, I don’t have any interest in what people from Facebook or Instagram have to say as I feel like it's going to be pretty watered down interactions with little thought behind it.
If they remove themselves from the fediverse equation after amassing a following, I would hope we would be left with what we just have here at the moment, which I'm quite happy with.
I would rather those other social media site reposts be contained to their own communities, they always looked like such low quality posts to me.
Hmm I see what you mean, yeah the only use for that email would be to get a lost password associated with that username then, it wouldn't actually get activated.
This is what I did. Just use kbin and turned the webpage into an app.
I was all gung-ho to try to find a new facial moisturizer as I'm running out of Cetaphil, but after trying Neutrogena's hyaluronic acid face serum and have it make my neck itch and my eyelids swell up, I'm too scared to try new things again :P
What's weird is that I really don't have skin that's ever reacted to anthing I've put on it, and I can use the Neutrogena hyaluronic acid face moisturizer just fine.
What do you do with your pi? I bought one awhile ago to act as a streaming box for my non-smart TV, but for some reason I can't get the Widevine for DRM to work anymore so I'm not doing anything with it now.
For and fir for me as well.. when does anyone need fir??
I understand what you're saying, but I feel more concerned with the stability of instances due to the fact that they're run by everyday people as something to do, they already have lives and jobs outside of this. Maybe it's a passion project they pour a lot into, but the possibility of it crashing down for various reasons is a lot higher than a larger centralized service run by companies whose soul purpose is to run that service.
My cellphone mindless games are Haru Slide and Match Fun 3D.
Honestly, no there isn't. Even if Gimp can apparently do a lot of what Photoshop can, you have to first learn, then jump through 20 unintuitive hoops to get to the same result thst Photoshop can do in 2 clicks. Nothing compares as far as I'm concerned.
I suppose pointing it at the bidet instead of the toilet is more tasteful
Great analogy
As much as I would love to only rely on f-droid, they do not have the same apps as the playstore or alternatives for everything.
Thanks for the heads up!
Same with Boost, still working and wasn't supposed to after July 1st. There was to be no subscription for that app either, so it should have died for sure. So strange.
Thanks for the reply!
I'm in my 30s and with constant stress of life, I have no interest in really doing much of anything besides sitting on my couch playing video games and forgeting everything in my down time.
I used to go out and party every weekend and during the week, but that was my early 20s.
