2 years ago I was certain a long range Model 3 would be our family’s first electric vehicle. I am now certain that a Rivian R2 will be that vehicle instead. As long as Musk is in the pipeline, making terrible decisions I have no interest in Tesla.

It’s like $15 a month now. I paid for premium when it was $10 and included music streaming. When the raised the price 50% I immediately cancelled. I use Smart Tube Next on my Sheild and have Firefox focus on iOS. + PiHole, + unlock Origin. Ads can go screw themselves.

Retro gaming brings a feeling of nostalgia for most that are into it. My video game life started off on an Atari 2600, so playing old games from my childhood is fun and a reminder of easier times. Save up a sum of money. Open a fidelity investment account. Fidelity does not have a minimum balance account requirement. Learn a bit about no fee index funds. These are low price per share but offer the benefit of investing in the whole stock market. Things like Fidelity ZERO Total Market Index Fund or Fidelity ZERO International Index Fund. These types of funds give you a broad investment profile with low price and reduced risk. Continue to add money to your investment account on a regular schedule. Do NOT take money from the account to buy luxuries. The benefit you have at age 18 of being in the market is time. Any amount of money you have in the market for an extra 10 years will grow leaps and bounds more than you would be able to afford to put in directly. You can also look to set up a Roth IRA for your retirement as well. You can put up to $6,500 per year into a Roth IRA account and invest it. Do this early and often and let the money grow and future you will be living a comfortable life. I am not a fiduciary and talk to your family before you listen to an internet stranger, but this is what I do/did and my retirement should be fairly comfortable. Good luck and have fun.

It was called a pogo-ball. I loved mine. I remember doing skate grabs etc with it. I also remember a trick where you spun it like a top with your feet, jumped up so your feet were disconnected from it, and then landed back on it to continue pogo balling. It was a weird but fun toy.

If you are looking for something to help you get a perfect edge I have been using an Edgepro Apex sharpening system for years and it produces an amazing result. You can pick the stones you want and there are even some aftermarket options available. The benefit of this system is that once you pick your desired sharpening angle, the system will keep that angle consistent across the knife edge. I really like mine. They also just released an updated version called the bevel tech with some upgrades/improvements. They also let you send in a knife for them to sharpen to test out the quality of the results.
We live with a shiba, who is smart and occasionally stubborn. All (well most) treats in our house are earned. Sometimes sitting quietly next to the cutting board while I’m making lunch is enough to earn a treat. Evening bedtime treats are almost automatic, but I like to reinforce some of his commands with them. As a result, he is better behaved and he still gets to enjoy the treats.
My wife and I each thought these were cool but refused to buy these for ourselves. Instead, we got them for each other for Christmas/Channukah one year. It is the best "stupid" gift I have ever got. I have a little Aeropress set up in my office and it's great. Nothing like coming back to your desk to a hot cup of coffee after you have been away for an extended time. I think they were like $100 when we got them.
You can get a new top with metal gears for cheap from their website. This thing is a tank and will never need to be replaced. Also for clean up it gets wiped out with a paper towel when cool, and placed back on the kitchen rack. Whirley-Pops are awesome. Simple does not equal cheap.
Not sure how you feel about emulation, but take a look at FPGA systems like the MiSTer or Analog Pocket. These use hardware/chip simulation to recreate a 1:1 real hardware experience. You can also use original controllers via adapters with 0 lag, so the games feel the same too. With one of these systems you will be able to play all of those systems plus a bunch more. It’s a cool system, highly recommended.
