Heya!, VulcanSphere is here, Interests including watching anime, reading manga, playing video games, watching motorsport, and listening to diverse range of music. Have a somewhat unhealthy obsession with cyberpunk and its aesthetic (night city, neon lights, and rain)

Vulcan is reading this from kbin.social

The federation is now active and hello!

The Lord of Snoo is locked to the IPO, hopefully the IPO will fail and the board of the Snoo Platform, Inc. fired him.

Incoming demise of third-party apps and (potential) IPO blackout should increase more interest towards fediverse link aggregator and discussion platforms...

Fediverse is neat and waiting to be discovered.

Blocks of cement infused with a form of carbon similar to soot could store enough energy to power whole households. A single 3.5-meter block could hold 10kWh of energy, and power a house for a day, and the technology could be commercialized in a matter of years, the scientists say.

Dark Reader, because dark mode rocks.

Just imagine what Aaron would say... He would be disgusted and set up a fediverse instance to spit out Alex and Steve.

They won't say something that hurt investors confidence

Use a libreddit instance.

(i.e. https://libreddit.projectsegfau.lt)

This is a well-written post.

The wind of change has arrived, towards Fediverse favour.

There are several dark mode themes here.

Including solarized dark.

Yup, use adblock.

And crosspost content to your favourite fediverse instance.

The community, definitely not the Snoo Platform, Inc

As an active Wikipedian, Vulcan sincerely doubt that this Jimbo's attempt will be successful at all. An ActivePub support will be welcome however.

His track record with social media isn't encouraging.

Given that many of recent fediverse newcomers are redditors, it's inevitable that they want something similar to the Snoo Platform.

#Threadiverse is fresh and Vulcan loves how the community can band together in the federation of discussion and link aggregators.

Can confirm, Vulcan is a moderator and mostly used old.reddit (although with new.reddit for couple occasions).

Killing old.reddit will be a huge shockwave, especially among moderators.

Is this a PR damage control by the Snoo Platform, Inc?

So they can say "Look, we still care about 3PA"

That's the taste of bleeding edge.

Vulcan likes his bleeding edge platform.

The walking PR disaster of the Snoo Platform known as spez disgusts me.

All hail the Fediverse!

Folks, this is what Spez idolised and aims to emulate 🤣

Totally a shining example of social media corporate management...

So, Alien Blue was not a third-party app?

Great Snoo Platform... lie.

Kbeanauts!

Love this mascot idea.

The Snoo Platform keep showing their desperation...

The Lord of Snoo, spez has unleashed a dick move towards the platform.

Gonna love the Snoo Platform, Inc. panic mode in action.

Seeing a Nokia Communicator phone blew Vulcan's mind (keep in mind, this was a 6-year old Vulcan)

Kbinauts!

And in #Japan, with #VisualKei #Vkei (#JapaneseRock) band #XJapan.

The frontman #Yoshiki even called out #Twitter Japan of their trademark right (which is legitimate).

Yeah, because he is the Lord of Snoo.

Given the boom of .app and .dev gTLDs, this is a massive win for Squarespace if the registry side is included in the deal.

More powerful and better battery should be the pinnacle of research, to sustain the development and research of products which use it.

The federation has just been turned on again, eventually it will recovers.

Ng told us that each DCI unit costs around SG$33,000 (US$25,000) and can treat - very roughly - enough water for about 1MW to 1.3MW of cooling infrastructure. To cover the whole output of SIN10 would therefore need 20 to 25 DCI units, which suggests a cost of maybe US$500,000, although no figures have been quoted to us for the deal.

The installation was partially funded by a Singapore government program to save water, and Digital claims it saves 1.24 million liters of water per month.

Will love to see someone recreated /m/GrandOrder.

Something like multi-magazines but fediverse-wide would be a neat, imagine you want to share content to your kbin magazine but also want to share to the community at Lemmy.

Yup, as an early adopter (and someone who loves bleeding edge thing), Vulcan can tolerate the lack of features at Kbin (and Lemmy).

Trying to convince some friends, and they complained about lack of activity in #threadiverse. Alright then, we can use this momentum to build and grow #threadiverse to be as competitive as the Snoo Platform.

Yup, you can post to other instances

Great update, keep up the good work!

VulcanSphere is my username (almost) everywhere within the cybersphere.

So, yeah. Stick with a recognisable name.

This is why we should push against attempts to strangle open-source AI products and research.

More hubris at the Snoo Platform

And so, the popcorn still tastes good!
