Me: Holy shit! You were censored for wanting lower taxes?

Me: So....deregulation?

Con: Haha no not those views either

Yep, amazon Mp3s are drm free. I get most of my music on bandcamp but amazon is pretty decent for stuff that's not on bandcamp.

Not just shitty music, he's been an unpleasant character for a very long time https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/eric-clapton-racist-rant/

I still prefer the original from the extremely underrated but massively influential Mission of Burma.

Ohh a new NMA album, excellent. Great live band, will definitely keep an eye out on this.

You mean like these 2 statements from the eighties and nineties? It's always been there, just more extreme now. 1986 — “Reggae, for example, is to me the most racist music in the entire world. It's an absolute total glorification of black supremacy... I don’t have very cast iron opinions on black music other than black modern music which I detest. I detest Stevie Wonder. I think Diana Ross is awful. I hate all those records in the Top 40 – Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston. I think they’re vile in the extreme... Obviously to get on Top Of The Pops these days, one has to be, by law, black,” he told Melody Maker.

1992 — He was quoted in Q Magazine saying: “I don’t really think, for instance, black people and white people will ever really get on or like each other.”

I wasn't aware of Extra Circus so I've grabbed that now. Good stuff.

Lots of good stuff in this thread. This one immediately sprung to mind

I love pretty much everything Kevin Martin has done. Seeing him live on the 16th.

Yep saw them recently as well, they were brilliant.

This is a pretty good documentary on the history of rough trade https://youtube.com/watch?v=_tKE-hDDgZQ&si=qK7vTPb-cvGGZf9t

Amazing, gorgeous and beautiful song. So glad I've caught them live a few times. And still sad about Mimi.

He sadly died earlier this year but I'm a massive fan of his work. Instantly identifiable.

I switched to those after it turned out my galaxy buds gave me an allergic reaction and I agree, those are good. ANC is good and I like how they sound.

Great band and usually awesome live as well. Not heard this in a long time so I'll stick some on tonight.

Been on a monster magnet binge recently due to a discussion with a mate around grand funk railroad. Good stuff, not listened to mm in years.

I remember watching Pinkpop on TV in the nineties and fearing for his life.... The recent documentary was a good watch.

It's a great album, need to dig that out and give it a listen, it's been a very long time.
