Or helping to come up with some plot hooks in a pinch.

Serious question, but what stops the editors and writers who feel differently from just telling him no and printing what they want?

I understand he owns them and could fire them, but I think that would be more telling and a much bigger story internationally if he just fired or shut down WaPo for not doing his bidding rather than this subscriber loss being what we see. Journalists used to do real reporting and expose huge things (some still do), so if they actually feel this way about the candidate then they should’ve just printed what they wanted anyway.

I see. So you don’t live in America. I still stand by what I said because I’m pretty sure that many manufacturers that sell vehicles in your area are cheaper than a Tesla.

Also, why are you getting angry for me pointing out what’s true? You compared Tesla and Ford without specifying where you live and/or availability. If you can’t get a Ford there at all then of course it’s less affordable than a Tesla because it’s not even an option.

If that’s the point then it begs to ask the question of why you even compared the two for your edge case and used a generality of affordability to most “normal people”.

Then you certainly couldn’t buy a Tesla either which is more out of your price range. That’s the point of my response.

See you in the news, I guess?

How do you afford quality cameras when your budget goes to militarization of the force?

Between this, BG3 having non-binary options and same sex romances, bud light, etc doing things to let others feel noticed - Conservatives are gonna have nothing left to enjoy from boycotting.

I’m ok with this.

If the amount I’m being priced for is that amount and you short me? Fuck yeah. We should never be ok with not getting what we paid for. There’s too much shrinkflation and deception.

Good human

The crowds it attracts today still are huge. What do you mean the novelty has worn down? I have lived in the area since 2012 and I still haven’t gone down to see this because I don’t want to deal with the crowds.

On another note, I guess I’ll be there in a jiffy if they shot me with an Italian beef - wet (not from the river) and lots of giardiniera.

Having tried to use Reddit advertising for business (a national company), it really wasn’t very good. They had very poor targeting and algorithms.

Oh, well, we’ve been over producing by taking in extra tasks and not getting raises for many years with extra work while in the office. I guess this is just our reciprocity and evening out our personal time.

I wonder if I sent him a pizza, would he feel better about it all?

Oh. And you expect me to be in the office? Then you should make an appearance daily in the office. I don’t care if you’re halfway across the US - you better show up to say hi and prove you’re there you fucking slacker.

Ah fuck! Did VISA get you?

This. Don’t burn your bridges! You never know who knows who.

Yeah. With great power comes great responsibility.

If you can afford to jet off anywhere, get great healthcare without worry, afford a house that fits more than you need (or have multiple houses) while the rest of your society can’t make ends meet even with 2-3 jobs, well, you aren’t paying enough.

I get you should be able to keep what you earn. We all want that, but some of us hoard so much more than we need and don’t give a shit if others starve.

I was at a pumpkin patch 25 minutes out of Chicago on Saturday and there was a man proudly wearing a shirt with Trump on it and the shirt said, “I’m voting for the convicted felon”. His voter base does not fucking care, at all.

That’s just not true. Many people engage with things they don’t like because of education and curiosity.

For instance, I don’t like your comment but I still engaged with it to point out that you’re wrong. I like Lemmy, in general, though.

Yeah, was gonna say that if they rule against that then there’s going to be a fuck ton of challenges to everything they’ve ruled using state’s rights as the ruling.

Yeah, if what I see in the articles and thumbnails are what he’s rockin’ then what the fuck is the problem?! He’s got a good thing going.

Fuck no. Fuck. No! Sloth is a treasure and a good man. Just wanted respect as a human, to show his strength, and have a Baby Ruth.

Sloth is too good for this fucking degenerate that even a single celled entity would reject.

I have 1B to give to people to spend on evil messaging and research of crap that hurts others.

That 1B is allergic to helping people, fixing systemic issues, and truly making America great by elevating those that actually need it. So I must keep it in my pocketses.

You kick out the federalist that do things like, investigate overturning elections, and suddenly the midterms are all republican wins.

From there, you have someone who can get power passed to change things like presidential term limits. Now you have a king or an emperor with a bunch of yes men backing him up in decisions. Eventually, they can institute whatever policies they want and force states, by force, to enact what they want with military power and courts who rule in their favor.

Oh, but there are people in the military who will stand up and do what’s right? Well, they will be branded as wackos and enemies of the state who are speaking ill of the totally “legit” election. So they are put in front of a firing squad and all that’s left are those who already believe in Der Fuhrer.

It’s a complete shit show in the making and fucking frightening what they could do with disinformation and no checks.

Isn’t religion suffering from people leaving and no new blood entering for growth? Maybe the Catholic Church can wave the white flag?

Worked in printing before things were phased to computers and had to shoot/cut out negatives on a light table for the press plates. It was called “stripping”. So, I was a stripper once without taking off any clothes.

It’s posted on lgbtqnation. I’m pretty sure that for their audience it’s incredibly fucking relevant.

I’m sorry, where did this come from? Where did this go?

CrowdStrike, not Microsoft, is responsible. Let’s put blame where blame is due.

This could happen to any OS that has cybersecurity where permissions are needed at deeper levels to protect systems.

Are you saying that the individuals who run these servers and instances aren’t subject to the same laws? I read the article, and Facebook complied with a court order.

You don’t think anyone running Lemmy would do the same without access to lawyers and capital like Facebook has?

This.

Plus they are arguing this knowing Biden won’t do that and so if it passed then Trump will have free rein if he wins and he will likely try to exercise that option is my guess.

Forgive Bing. It’s American and doesn’t know the metric system.

Edit: looked it up and it is one. It gets better though - related to emissions (OBDII)! 🤣

…Democrats had already "set a precedent" by changing their ticket.

Lol! No they didn’t. That’s like saying I already set a precedent by changing my dinner plans before I committed to a dinner place.

Also, dude - you can’t even decide who your VP is, how can anyone expect you to make actual decisions? I’m not voting for him anyway, but my question still stands.
