Wow! Intel processor AND Windows? The worst of both choices for a handheld!

Hmm, some games with a strong female lead that I've played:

  • A hat in time. Lovely 3D platformer

  • Subnautica: Below Zero. Sequel to the original Subnautica but enjoyable without having played the first one. Loved both games.

  • Gris

  • Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice

  • Kena: Bridge of Spirits

  • River City Girls: Pixel art beat 'em up

  • Horizon Zero Dawn

  • The latest Tomb Raider trilogy

  • Portal and Portal 2

Luckily you don't need Window$. You can install Edge on your Linux distro of choice! Will it then show warnings telling you Edge is the bestest browser when you use it to search for another browser? Who knows, why not try it and find out??? Please someone use Edge on Linux, Micro$oft is now a friend of Linux

Self hosting doesn't mean you should host everything yourself at home, using a VPS you manage (so the data inside it is still yours) is also a viable option for selfhosting. I myself host some services at home and a few others in a VPS.

As for Dyndns, I've used a few providers over the years. DuckDNS is the one I've been using for 5 years or so and it's not failed me once. Pretty happy with it.

Maybe you could have a duckdns pointing to your dynamic IP and your domains / subdomains with a CNAME pointing to the dyndns address?

I've been using Pinchflat for a while and so far it's been great for me. It can automatically rescan the channel or playlist on a defined time (like every day or every week), and download new videos. It uses yt-dlp so you can configure all the parameters you want it to use for the download

Yes, I immediately thought about SOMA after reading the post. recommendations++

Ackshually the social network you're mentioning has changed its name so instead of "Tweets" they should be "Xeets" (like sheets por shits if you prefer).

!I love how people refuse to use its new name!<

It allows you to have personal 1 to 1 conversations and group chats, just like WhatsApp, Telegram or Signal.

Discord isn't exactly the same thing as Telegram, that's why Matrix.org is usually mentioned as an alternative to WhatsApp or Telegram but not Discord

I just got the pack with Tunic and Death's Door. I had Tunic in my wishlist for a while and finally bit the bullet. Yay! 2 more games into the backlog!

In the description of the video it says "Video edited with Kdenlive on Linux Mint.". With that info I'd say that Linux support is confirmed

If you thought the 12 to 16GB of RAM offered with most flagship Android devices today is enough

You're wrong, I thought 6 to 8GB of RAM were enough. I'm still rocking my OnePlus 5, and seeing their last few years I don't think I'll get another OnePlus smartphone.

If you need more RAM on a smartphone than on a laptop, you're doing something wrong. You can't solve everything by just adding more RAM

Yeah, you're right. I had kind of forgotten about that part lol.

Even if you manage not to die in any of the horrific ways it's still pretty violent.

Same here.

Luckily the payment method I had used has expired so every month they remind me to skip the month if I missed doing it. They call it something different but I know what they really mean ʘ‿ʘ

At least it's not Comic Sans IN THE IDE (or vim/emacs for the brave).

Now you can finally feel the breeze and the gravity pull when you perform a leap of faith! /s

If it was a VR game it would make "some" sense, being a 3rd person game, what is the point of the gimmick?

There are more things to do than finishing the whole game the way it was intended, not every biome has a monster that can kill you.

You can swim with the pengwings, play with the sea monkeys, build a giant base in the starting area while playing in creative mode..., there might even be mods that completely disable the need to surface for air or make every creature passive so you can swim mwext to them in peace.

I made one of these a few years ago, but I used an Odroid XU4 instead of Raspberry. For the system image (and games) I got it from ArcadePunks.com

The last one "And they have a plan" is from Battlestar Galactica

Yes, you can have 1:1 and rooms on Discord too, but the level of customization of rooms, roles and permissions Discord has is much more advanced than what you can find in WA, Telegram or Matrix.org.

On Discord when you're in a server you can see (usually) every other user that's on the same server, and in every room you'll see some of those people, depending on the permissions. That's not how the other options mentioned before work.

Also, on Discord you can have specific rooms dedicated to audio/video chats, on the rest (WA, Telegram, Matrix) it works differently.

I think it's mainly because of those reasons that people compare Matrix to WA and/or Telegram instead of saying it's a "Discord alternative".

I've tried to install it on my VPS behind Traefik but couldn't get it working. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I know, bit Snikket still uses ports 80/443 for its web interface and group file sharing service. It even has a page for Reverse Proxy configuration, but it doesn't include Traefik and the configuration is non-trivial

You lasted until Windows 7? I'm guessing you didn't have to deal with Windows Vista's bs then. I changed ship thanks to Vista.

I also suffered Windows Me, but I was too young and at that time I didn't know there was an alternative.

I dual booted Vista/7 and Ubuntu/Mint for a while but after not using Windows in years ended removing it completely. Now I'm a happy Antergos Arch user ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I only got Supraland: Six Inches Under.

Tunic, Elden Ring, Ori and the Will of the Wisps and others are still on muy waitlist, mostly because of my lack of time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Is that you Agent Smith?

Enjoy Subnautica! If you can I recommend going in as blindly as possible, and READ all the things! Oh, what I'd give to be able to forget everything about it and play it again for the first time...
