I recently found out one my favourite FOSS projects was abandoned due to bullying. It was a small project and very fresh so it obviously came with some bugs and issues which is a given. The maintainer gave up only few months after because of all the negativity.

Ozawa has reportedly admitted that the charge is true. He told the officials that roads belong to humans and pigeons are the ones who should get out of the way.

Statements like this makes me wonder if hurting animals is so obviously evil or I'm just a hippie.

tl;dr of the statement: Dolphin project is not in any danger but it won't be released on steam.

The latest one was LSPatch. Did so much for me. Last message from the maintainer was something along the lines of 'Seems like people are not happy with the project so I'm dropping it'.

Reminder that legality is not based on morality.

I agree with you that some people are misguided and expect dark souls to be hard for the sake of being hard. Yes you die a lot but that is part of the game, and dying is not a state of failure but a step in getting better in order to overcome the obstacle.

I have seen people not only beat the game but do a no hit run with guitar hero guitar, dance dance gamepad and even raw potatoes. Making the game easy does not equal to making it 'accessible', but it does break the core gameplay loop. There are ways to make games more accessible in general that doesn't ruin the fun factor. Check out AbleGamers they are doing amazing work helping the community which I think is one of the best ways to go about this issue.

"The Enshittification Will Continue while (true)" FTFY

How dare you speak ill of his majestys name

That's a future problem for general AI. Right now it's still very difficult to make an AI in a specific subject that does it's job perfectly. That's why even the commercial AI that we have are (should be) treated more like an 'Assistant'

Omg I'm so sorry we thought you knew

I'm usually neutral towards the music I don't like because well it's subjective. However I'm currently an active Nickelback hater as a response to this new wave that claims Nickelback hate was just a meme and undeserved. I don't have an issue with people enjoying unoriginal or uninspired music, I do it all the time. But praising something that is not there annoys me. insert old man yells at cloud meme

Microsoft’s current decision is a stark contrast to Xbox’s motto of “When Everybody Plays, We All Win.” To build trust with disabled players by consistently advocating for accessibility and the disabled experience only to then quickly and surprisingly remove the tools that disabled players need is shocking to much of the community.

They really trade the peoples trust like currency huh. It's not shocking but still upsetting

The main reason people call it a disastrous launch is because it was Sony, right after the best selling console on the world, the PS2.

If it was any other company, the launch would be considered a huge success despite the controversy but for it to go toe to toe to the successor of OG Xbox, which in your own words didn't do that great is a pretty big fall.

I have a cheatsheet of all the necessary vim shortcuts!

You can't download from spotify unless you have premium. There are some apps that basically get spotify link, extract metadata and then download them from somewhere else entirely.

not to be a hater but GTAV Radio station songs are 'licensed music' not soundtracks, also you can just fire up spotify or youtube if you just wanna listen to them instead of running GTAV each time

At least it was cheap

Skill issue

I'm assuming it was a jab of how much time you can sink in this game, which is %100 true

I'm not gonna go too deep into it because I'm not qualified to, but I think the issue currently at hand, is that we're throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks. Most of the AI models currently used in different branches are being used because they showed promise in the original problem they were designed for. All these tools you see today were more or less designed over than 30 years ago. There's a lot of interesting stuff being done at an academic level today but we (understandably so) don't see those in an everyday conversation

That does not sound quick at all

where were you when they made the frickin frogs gay

Well you can change your 'assistant' in Android so not even that.

It's too early to decide if it was. Yes it was the safest bet, Even though PS4 had a great deal of success you also need to keep in mind, a lot of it was because of politics. Nintendo and MS made huge mistakes at that time and Sony basically ate their lunch.

The older generations were always innovative and pushed the envelop as far as possible, but now PS just a gaming PC that is not upgradable like an actual PC. if you don't recall, the most hyped thing about PS5 was the controller, which is not what you expect the main point of buying a new consol to be.

On the topic of exclusives, I personally hate them. I think it makes a false sense of value in modern consoles where in the past they were intentionally made to take advantage of the architecture to showcase the unique quirks (and ofc the power) of this machine in a tiny box. Now they are usually just political leverages even though the games can be ported to other platforms.

So to reiterate, I agree it definitely had positive net for Sony in the short run, we'll have to wait and see if it will payout in the long run.

Those two are not mutually exclusive

I've been playing Bread and Fred with a friend, it's pretty fun but we can only play it in short intervals

I would argue they had to give it up to get the indie scene onboard as I heard many nightmare stories for indies from PS3 era. Was it worth it? I'm sure contributed a great deal to the success of PS4 but it made the PS into just a more affordable gaming PC.

What size hotdog we talking about here? NASA: Hotdog the size of 50 beans

I just installed Heliboard but nothing seem to have changed? I still need to switch to Magikeyboard for login anyway. Am I doing something wrong?

For sure, peoples' only gripes with Mastodon is that it only has chronological timeline, which I personally prefer over Algorithms.

That's pretty cool, how difficult do you think it would be for someone with no prior experience in soldering to pull it off?

Haha reading your other replies, you're too humble for someone who knows what they're talking about

lol that got me good, thanks for that

Thanks for the tips!

I wish that was true, there are so many games I would go back and play again. PS3 was a technical marvel for it's time, however using it was so complicated that we only got to see it's true potential by the end of it's lifecycle with games like TLOU. So just speaking of raw power, PS5 could %100 not emulate PS3 games flawlessly as we barely have PS3 emulation on PCs. Technical part aside, it just doesn't make business sense for Sony to invest in it. You also have to keep in mind if Sony offers PS3 emulation, it can't stutter or crash on some games. it needs to be a commercial grade product which is not even guaranteed with PS2 or NES emulation on PC

Haha cheers to that! I really enjoyed our conversation :) I hope you have a good week mate
