I had to block so much yiff when I first joined Lemmy. I knew it was out there, but I didn't realize just how much until Lemmy. Maybe I blocked it gradually over time at Reddit and didn't realize how much it was in total, but I felt like there wasn't as much there.

I try not to judge their journey, but I have no need to join them on it.

If you have the resources, yes.

I'm guessing it's "neat."

This just in: Victim of leopard mauling says he won't give leopard second helping.

Fuck this guy. I'm not giving him credit for not being a completely horrible person when he has been a horrible person. He hasn't learned anything, made amends, etc. He just doesn't want the person who put hundreds of people on a mission for his head to have total power.

And the rest of the world, more likely than not.

So, she's like Santos, but an animal murderer?

I get decisions on farms can be tough/unpleasant with respect to other animals, but her descriptions of what happened just seem lazy.

And no super rich people.

Term limits, no gerrymandering, ranked choice voting, and more than two political parties.

Must be nice to have money.

The only reason to do it is verisimilitude, and that's not compelling because a fake is easy enough to acquire/create.

For no good reason!

No, because it doesn't impact the old, white cis-males. They're just mad because their pronouns are "fucking" and "awful."

It brings the presidential average above 2!

No one can prove God didn't tell her to go on a shooting spree.

I don't think anyone was saying all the responsibility belongs to women. I think they were saying that women, among other targeted groups, should have extra motivation to vote these people out.

Even if he went to prison, he's not going to be hanging out with gang members of any kind, except for prison guards.

Oh, duh. Yes, I should have read the article before asking. Thank you for nicely answering!

Probably tried to be an officer and wasn't accepted. A lot of people who want to be a cop start out as security.

I think their point was that while both sides may not be great options (the original comment's point), there is a huge difference in the level of how not-great they are, and leaving it at t"hey are both not great" is a disservice to those not immersed in the political landscape because this election could be VERY close and the consequences of not voting for Biden, despite all of his shortcomings, significantly impact the entire world, especially Americans.

How long would it take to make it have above that threshold?

I know a mom with an STD. She's a good person and good mother, moreover she opposes MfL entirely. Let's not shame people for things that don't reflect on their poor character.

It certainly feels that way, but it's important to have all of your ducks in a row before you go after a former president, especially one who has had such crazy influence on a large portion of the country. It would not do well to miss something or make a misstep that results in a not guilty and immunity via double jeopardy. Getting through the investigation and all of the interviews would take forever, not to mention charging others to get them to flip.

Yes, my wife and I considered not for environmental reasons. My parents thought we were nuts citing the threat of nuclear war when they were kids and everyone continuing to have kids then. They've come around to understand our hesitation now, mostly, but it was distressing that they couldn't understand , if not agree, with hesitating.

Of course, the environment is just one thing that gives us pause these days. People are crazy. Politicians and the laws they create are (or the dissolution of certain laws is) crazy. Plenty of reasons to pause.

Is that a reasonable price for it?

How much shit does your family go through that you need bylaws and a treasurer?

Angrier and probably better organized, too.

Pretty sure that could be the basis for a series of children's novels that were eventually adapted into a trilogy (or more) of movies.

Have you seen The Matrix Resurrections? It seems just like something The Analyst would do to us as a joke.

The first part of this excites me. The second part scares the shit out of me.

The weight of a thousand doors.

I make 75k and live fairly comfortably, or I would if the corporations weren't pinching us for every penny. Now I face a house that requires more repairs than I have money and time to rectify, and face a significant challenge for how to educate my young children in a way that will keep them interested and keep up with their aptitude. Can't afford private schooling and public schools will be insufficient. I'm better off than most people I know.

Same as well.

But they are currently the ones most willing.

This is the case with a lot of companies. Facebook didn't turn a profit for 10 years or something that sounds equally crazy.

Loyalty isn't the issue. You either represent the interests of the voters who voted for you or you step down, regardless of party. Otherwise, it's tantamount to (and potentially actually is) fraud.

Is Delaware worse for some reason?

Not saying this is their reasoning, but if someone is on fire and running at you, a gun could kill them before they set you on fire. Also not saying this is their reasoning, but shooting someone who is suffering a fate they cannot undo could be considered merciful. So, shooting someone on fire could actually be effective.

I agree with most of what you said. One issue, and it's a big issue, there's one other group that won't leave: the vulnerable. People who are too poor or don't have support to leave will be left behind. It is their vulnerability preventing them from leaving that will likely be their vulnerability staying. The bad things happen gradually and you adjust for them a little bit each time, until you can't adjust anymore and you're stuck.

That said, I can't blame anyone for leaving/wanting to leave.

Did they forget about that part or ignored it intentionally and hoped the judge would forget?

Not a video I want to see, but a video I support his right to make as long as the farm worker consents.
