Except that a metal bowl probably wouldn't arc due to not having the right structure for it (no protruding points, etc.). Forks, and the like, arc really well due to the shape and spacing of their tines.

Someone should take this project on as their first foray into game dev. Bonus points if it's a middle-aged woman.
