My wife and I having the same debate. Do what is best for your family.

It’s always baffling to me how easily the republicans can do bad things and then just say “the Democrats did it.” I’m always reminded of when Mitch McConnell filibustered his own bill because the Democrats got behind it.

Remember the tax cuts passed under Trump? Businesses got it forever. Guess whose tax cuts are about to expire, and guess who is going to get blamed for “raising taxes“ afterwards?

I think it’s pretty unfair to put all of the blame on everyone who uses a chromium browser, considering that most people with a computer have no idea what the hell you are talking about.

Google Chrome is the single most popular web browser. Everyone’s work uses it, everyone’s school uses it, why would they possibly question it? And then they discover a new browser someone recommended - why would they look into “chromium” and what it all means? It’s just not reasonable to expect of nearly the entire population at this stage.

Take your anger out on the company and educate people. This is a problem of education, not selfishness (on the part of the user).

NPC's is worse to be honest. It's generally used to attack people's social/political values and call them "sheeple" without using the term. Normie is gross but it's mainly just dismissive and having too high an opinion of one's own taste/interests.

Ultimately it's cringe as hell to say either lol

I think people who are pro-piracy tend to be a little dogmatic in the wrong direction, refusing to exercise their imagination or contemplate situations where people can be legitimately hurt financially or otherwise by their actions. However, most of the arguments are pretty sound, and I can’t imagine working that hard making new accounts just to argue in favor of movie/record studios that have exploited artists for as long as they have existed.

The “filthy” line was just funny to me lol

It’s easy to be a contrarian when opinions are not something you actually hold, but simply hats to be swapped out or discarded as necessary.

It’s unclear who you think the cowards are here

this is not a democracy

Seriously, huge applause for this. Beehaw is already operating 10x more intelligently than most forums I frequent. Y’all clearly know how to deal with bad actors

I'm not sure where you're reading that because literally every review makes at least some mention to the occasional bugs/jank they've encountered but that it's hardly enough to spoil the game.

I think with people mean is “real bugs.” The bugs the game has are very expected and, by all accounts, not game breaking. Meanwhile AAA studios drop content at launch, charge for everything after you’ve bought it, and have game breaking bugs that force you to restart regularly or sometimes ruin your games. I mean come on, look what happened with. Halo: Infinite and Redfall. It wasn’t goofy animations and such.

No game is truly “bug free.” It’s a catchall term to say “I can play this game from start to finish without any particularly memorable issues.”

why are we so shitty to each other?

I am honestly pissed off on the fact people can’t give feedback without being pricks or “gamers” just shitting on developers because they are Starfield stans

Painting with such broad strokes about opinions you don’t like and writing them all collectively off as “pricks” and “starfield Stans” is contributing to the current state of discourse that you are lamenting.

Maybe this time it’ll ship with an Ethernet port and joycons that last more than 6mo!

Jokes aside, very curious what changes they’ll make. Incredibly unlikely they are going to target 4K but hopefully we will see a stable 1080p @60 across the board.

I have a series S and even I think it’s unreasonable to expect full parity with a PS5/XSX after three or four years. It’s a $300 piece of hardware - it is remarkable what it does at its price point. It will be useful for a good 10 years, but it will not be able to keep up with new games after 5 at most in my opinion. It’ll be great for Indies or back catalogs.

They need to stop trying to make it functionally a series X and focus more on making it a gamepass/xcloud machine. As it is, it’s just an albatross around their neck.

Edit: Everything signaled that they were going to make it into a xcloud machine essentially. I’m not sure why they haven’t really pushed that harder.

You know what he means. My data is “lost” to google, I’m sure you’d agree with that.

Mr. Free Speech wants to decide what we can and can’t use our ISP’s for eh?

Intentional or not, the phrasing is very hostile and dismissive, just fyi. No worries just pointing it out.

Once again begs the question why Nintendo shuts their stores down far sooner and makes it so you can’t re-download your old purchases, other than greed/laziness.

It’s not “tone policing” to point out vitriolic tone in a discussion about how people have a bad tone with each other. It’s directly relevant to the discussion. Their word/tone was rude while calling for people to be nice.

My dog passed suddenly this past weekend. He was throwing up and had other stomach issues so I took him to the vet Thursday. He stayed overnight getting IV fluids and waiting on bloodwork. Friday morning I get word that he had acute renal failure and he basically couldn't make it without a week at an ICU, to the tune of $1000/day and 25% chance of survival, after which he'd get maybe a bad 6-8mo before dying. Next morning we took him to the vet and that was it. It's getting a little better everyday but I miss him so much.

I have decided to be a lot nicer on the internet as a result, at least. I think I've allowed the natural toxicity that emerges in online discussions to really seep into how I talk to people. I've been really trying to be aware of it and to be the person he knew I could be. He was the best. I loved him so, so much y'all.

I couldn’t even read past the first 2 sentences of this article it’s such generic clickbait nonsense.

You would have a point if we weren’t dealing with Trump. He also says “Rigging Dogs” right after “Riggers.”

I mean come on lol

Forums that fashion themselves as centrist are always prime targets for ring wing asshats, sadly.

I get everyone uses AI to write the posts now but at least give it a little character guys. The info isn’t bad but there’s a lot of filler words and generic info here. If this isn’t AI generated then get a little more granular.
