This just feels like fear mongering. Oh no Google says it can't protect us anymore. Whatever shall we do?

I don't mean to rag on you dude but I don't think he started that many companies. His company was bought out by PayPal in like the late '90s, despite being listed as a cofounder he wasn't a founder of Tesla, I think spaceX was also founded before Musk. He did help these companies succeed though so I suppose credit for that.
This isn't preventing him from getting a firearm this is charging somebody with improper storage of a firearm. Not sure how likely it is the supreme Court will rule against it but it's different than the laws challenged so far
I mean it'll get worse if you keep voting Republican. I'd rather the status quo than worse. Maybe don't put down enthusiasm of others.
I mean a large problem with services like Lemmy Mastodon and peer tube is that they're complicated. There's a learning curve require that I don't have to have if I go to a place like YouTube or any other video site. Peertube requires me to learn about servers and other things in order to fully utilize their service and that's a massive barrier to the public. Currently it's preventing me because I just frankly don't have time to go learn about more technological Concepts to best use a service.
Don't get me wrong it's not a dig at the services. They are excellent and I'm glad they're here and one day I will figure out peertube but until these sites are as easy to use as going to a link and just doing whatever the person wants to do if they're just not going to take off. Places like limmy and Mastodon and even peertube need a centralized portal so that is just super easy to start.
This won't happen unless it looks assured that Trump won't win. That's basically the only reason Ole Joe has stuck around.
My friend auto tune did not exist in 1965 yet she still topped the 100 billard chart. She can more then carry a tune. Don't diminish skill because you don't like her style.
Can anyone give us summary over what does enables other than insurance companies and health care providers Can't Turn You Away for simply lgbtq+
Tax codes and capitalism at it finest. Companies gonna company
As opposed to Donald Trump who consistently confuses his 2016 adversary as Obama and continues to insist Obama is in charge not Biden?
Doesn't the steam deck already support this? It has a user accessible battery and replacements for sale
Duck duck go has become a pretty good viable alternative to google using it full time now.
Sending passwords via email Will compromise any passwords sent via email. Regardless if the password is stored anywhere in the process if the password is sent via email it is compromised and no longer safe to use. Email is not end and encrypted you have no idea who's running the mail exchange servers that your email follows, it's entirely possible for this company to store that password in a log dealing with their email servers. Password sent via email should be considered immediately compromised and any sites following a practice like this should not be trusted with standard passwords which you shouldn't be using anyway.
Tell me you have no idea what programming languages are used for without telling me you have no idea what programming languages are used for.
JFC. People are in crisis so the police take them to jail in order to give them a safe spot which still results in suicides. It's a literal nightmare
I get that warning all the time and it's just a reminder to go update my browser and update all of my filters for ublock origin. After everything's updated YouTube goes back to working
People use money to avoid hard work like introspection
This is the threshold they use as the cutoff for overtime pay. Originally the cutoff was $35,000 a year and then you wouldn't have to pay any overtime if the salary is over that. This would require overtime pay for any salaried employees that are under $55,000 a year. It's a good thing and it's being used to come back practices that major retailers like Dollar general embrace.
I mean yeah I know most pirates won't use Google and will use other search engines but the majority of people using the internet don't even know that there are other search engines to use. Keeping them off Google is effective at preventing them from reaching other people.
By the same measure you could say the same thing about many other historical figures. There is enough historical documents that meet the same standards used by everyone to say that Jesus at least existed but thats pretty much it.
It makes it easier to read if you have something like dyslexia
I did. Did I miss something specifically? This posturing is not helpful to your point. No wants to believe a jackass even if they are right.
I wouldn't focus on his plea. He's likely doing this on the advice of his lawyer to secure plea deal. Initial charges always very harsh and this is a pretty common tactic in American court. It's like companies who won't say "you're sorry" because it opens them up to liability.
Oh I just think it's an interesting insight into how Trump operates. I believe the article is trying to highlight how fucking petty Trump actually is.
Yeah dude is gonna have some hard questions to answer
Man hackernews is full of people criticizing the poster saying that he should have disengaged the system so it learns completely missing the point that FSD should not be considered safe.
Target practice. Inherited heirlooms. Defense while camping. People find them cool. People keep guns for the same reason people keep swords. I understand that it is a tool designed for killing but at the end of the day it is still a tool. Don't get me wrong I'm still all for gun control but I do understand why people would want to keep a gun in their home. You don't have to agree with it but you shouldn't punish people who responsibly own firearms.
I see your mind is made up on this topic. You also haven't addressed anything I have said. Good talk.
This looks awesome!!
I mean having money and connections to cut through red tape is helpful even if it's only from his privileged life.
The point I was addressing is that the supreme Court shouldn't strike this law down as it doesn't affect ownership of guns. If the guy's a felon he probably should not have had a firearm but I can understand why he would want one.
Okay that's interesting thought. See the difference in your example is that a tiger is a sentient being but you have no control over. If I got bequeathed a tiger I probably surrender that too. A gun is a tool which is easily contained. What's the difference between keeping a firearm and a sword or a bow and arrow when there are also tools initially designed to kill/maime?
I mean I completely agree with you and that is definitely a rule in my house however if a parent can't be bothered to lock up their gun I'm not entirely sure they're going to bother teaching their kid not to touch the gun.
I think the best case scenario is to look around in the rural areas for cheap rents and just be prepared to drive
They really that bad?
Right? I have been thinking how someone could build something like that. I would love to try my hand at a landing page like that
Interest of avoiding Google's ad platform which is arguably more invasive you should use a browser in search engine that is not developed by Google thus use duck duck go. I mean it's at least tangentially related.
Looks good so far
I mean you can make the same argument about items like a bow and arrow, crossbows, and swords. There are valid reasons to have weapons in the house however they should be locked up so that they aren't accessible normally.
I do not understand how a parent can be so irresponsible as to leave a gun easily accessible in a house with children. Kids are really really resourceful. Its bit like keeping a hyper intelligent racoon inside with a drive to kill itself through curiosity. Guy definitely deserves charges
